There was some backlash with the previous release of The Cabin, so I've decided to remove Emi as a love interest in the game. She will still be in the game, just not fuckable. If you have already downloaded the previous episode 7, then you'll need to redownload it, as going forward, that version will not work with newer episodes!

I'm also releasing this to everyone, not just patrons, as we all know it's already released on a certain forum and that needs to be overwritten ASAP o.0 and I want to make sure everyone knows that it's been removed.

Why? You gave them two options with the Emi issue, at least from what I'm reading, you gave them the option to pursue her as a LI and to not pursue her as an LI. Don't let people dictate your artistic vision, that is generally 95% of the time what kills a good story, when devs start letting others dictate what YOUR story is and is not. You aren't forcing the content down their throat, so why change it. What you did is the least Alienating standard available. Give the option so those that do not want to dilute the character can, and those that don't care, can. Its 2025 brother, there's always gonna be some whine with the cheese from someone one. Changing your game to cater to the few, never works out well and it also gives off the impression you are a push over and they can dictate your vision for the story.

He already explained why in another comment. He agreed with the critism that it weakens Emi's relationship with the mc of her game is she's wiling to cheat on him with the mc in this game. Emi was only ad to this game because some people asked for it anyway

/shrug some people are into strange things that turn them on. Rape has been a legit kink in porn for decades that I know of and probably long before. 40 years ago you could rent a VCR tape of porn at the local gas station that aside from minimal weak plot had nothing but scenes of hairy-pussied women being kidnapped and tied up, and sometime even beaten beforehand, before being fucked silly. I'm very well aware of that and it doesn't detract from my point. Allowing others to change the direction / focus of the story only creates problems. I guess I'm one of those that don't care either way. It's part of the universe the dev created, but I guess, even in the other game, the MC has the option to sleep with other women, which is optional NTR content, EMI is okay with an open relationship in that game, so why would that be such a big issue if she gets some on the side too? An open / polyamorous relationship is two sided..., though if I do remember correctly, which i might not be, I think Emi did say she wouldn't be pursuing anyone else, I'd have to replay the other game. People's logic makes no sense to me I guess and it equates to the overall personification of women in these harem style games. The MC can get with as many women as the author allows, but god forbid those women sleep with another man, kind of comical if you think about it really. But hey its a game meant for entertainment, not a philosophical debate on the debasing of the female gender in general.

That's just the thing. Prob just about everyone here is single because their former gf cheated on them and then dumped them. Now their imaginary waifus are cheating on them too. Must suck when you not only can't trust real girls but can't trust the fake imaginary ones either. Not sure about pussies but if this was 1985 again they'd be bullied to death for being nerdy losers.

Except, in this particular case, they chose to have their digital waifu cheat on them, so it's a confliction of their own creating. Anyways, back to the real world where none of this has any impact on my bills needing to be paid or children needing food in their bellies and clothes on their backs.

Meh. 99% of the games that are just "my way or the highway devs" end up being terrible. Devs who can take criticism on choices they made, reflect on the criticism and decide if it is warranted or not and make or dont make changes are ones that end up telling a good story.

If a dev decides to make a change based on feedback given that is STILL the devs choice to do, and shouldnt be seen as a negative thing.

People who cry about a dev adding or removing something based on feedback are just pissed off they made a change they dont like.

I mean adding Emi at all is already changing the direction of the game. One group of fans asked for her to be added, so he coomplied. Another group of fans was upset about the idea of her being a love interest so he complied. Emi was never meant to be part of this game's story

You're still missingthe fact that the dev ultimantly decided to change it back because he agreed partically with the critism. He wasn't just bullied into reverting the choice, he didn't want to do it in the first place, and he decided that it didn't fit Emi's character.

He lost his way long ago with this dumbass premise. Expecting everyone to accept his characters are this stupid about the wannabe Jason Vorhees stalker. As soon as the book nerd's sister was getting dragged away to the cabin and then later is perfectly okay and acts like it was just an odd occurrence was laughable at best.
