Dual Family was also an Incest game. At that point in the game's progress, you couldn't really hide behind the "Landlady and roommate" junk that 95% of AIF makers defaulted to. I'd be surprised to see DF come back. This coming from someone who really loved the pacing of the game.

thats true hes very open with his community if theres a delay or change to the game he lets us know i can't tell you how many other devs have left there fans waiting in limbo on whats to come next to there games

Both are trying to create pretentious game. With some drama, a riddle and all these adult stuff.
Both want to make the slow progressing plot.
Both set deadlines many times and delayed them.
Both promised that the next update would be ready on time.
At first, Gumdrop was also very talkative. He created the walls of the text. He shared his plans and prospects for the development of the game, very often.
So I do not see much difference. We will see about half of a year later, when the next update after this will be ready. If it will be.
Many adjectives come to my mind when I think about Deluca family, but pretentious isn't one of them...

Maybe I chose the wrong word. Maybe “ambitious” would be more appropriate. I am not quite sure since my English is not very good.
I don't see my game as slow progressing. It just progress and whatever happens, happens.
It's true that this update has taken longer due to private stuff but with that said- I have only set one deadline an that was 15. this month which was delayed 3 days which isn't something I lose sleepover. The extra week that was added I wanted due to extra stuff (which is why I made a poll about it- release or postpone.) The rest was estimated time of release. Just an estimation of how long I think it would be. But like with any estimations (and why you use estimation instead of specific release dates) you can take longer if you feel like it's not ready. It's more of a way to show your followers how you think it's going so they can get an insight into how it is going.
And why would you say that the next update will only be a half year later? It is no doubt going to be at least 2 years. Have to keep this consistent, heh. If you're going the negative route take it the full step and add years to it.
I do feel like it's important to communicate with the player base but to also 'defend' the devs who choose to leave as too much negativity can reflect on the game. So it's better for them to just take a step back and focus on their game.
What some people tend to forget is that devs are just hobbyist who suddenly gets a large following. And once they start not only getting a ton of hate in the thread but also with private message it can affect them. They are human after all. They should have prepared for it, but alas they're just adult hobbyist.
The worst-case situation is that they buckle under the pressure and start to rush the game. A big mess is sent out to please the impatient. (Truth is those are the first one ready to slaughter a bad release so it's a lose-lose).
It's like one of my PM I got a couple of days ago (no names, of course. And he also was a nice guy in the end) where he told me that due to the time it took I should have some urgency to finish the game and not make delay for the final release date. But to that, I replied; 'Quality comes before satisfying the impatient. This sadly will cause some people to get upset and leave. But it's a sacrifice I am willing to make if it means not downgrading my game. '
The reason why I am not being affected by all those negativity is the fact that there are so many who are so positive and supportive. Where normally the negative voices muddle the positive voices, I've made it a special focus to not let that happen. In my ears, the positive voices shine the brightest. The negative people are the ones that are muddled.
Secondly- I am used to living with a big family which in turn means lots of kids. There are all kinds. The depressing ones "but...it will never get better...It probably only get worse." Then there the angry ones, the malicious ones, the deceiving ones, the passive-aggressive ones and so on.
What you learn is that you can never yell or go crazy at them. You just have to calmly tell them your view/side. If that doesn't help you then ignore. If that doesn't help. YOU DISOWN THEM! Send them to a foster family!
Btw, I'm not comparing anyone to children. Just liked that analogy, hehe.
Long post, but want to show the positive people that I am always positive and the mood is high as always!
Anyway, back to work. Need to get this out before the mob is done sharpening their pitchforks.

What do you mean "before"... they were sharpened the day after the last release when you didn't release a full update straight away!
After reading about ~30 pages full of toxicity (comparing this game to DF and w/e else ... lol) I had to become patron & support this dude. A bit before I wanted, but why not.

Look at the 'good news' line where he proclaims that there will only be a 2-3 day delay. Then you need to read the small print to see there is a further week long delay. We need him here in the UK to take over Brexit negotiations, that's just the sort of spin and double-talk we are crying out for !
ps the above is very tongue-in-cheek, I wouldn't wish Brexit employment on my worst enemy

would like to know if the issabella path will involve cuckolding her husband, or will it just be plain stealing her.The netori in games or porn is kinda rare(The husband is usually just blackmailed{DA, personal trainer and some other games I don't remember}).
The action in my legacy was hot but it still does not cut it for the stuff that happens in some netorare.
Also if it does end up as cuckolding, I hope that the curroption of the dude is gradual in addition to curroption of Isabella.
If you don't have plans to do this I won't mind.

Yup, Isabel route is pure netori. There will be lewd action which happened while Antonio is in the room.
Granted, due to Antonio being a hotheaded mafia underboss and have his own opinion regarding killing another human being- he will not know about it. But there will be close calls.
But how it will be in the far future I can't say. That is spoiler territory.
