Reminds me of a Dev who recently said he hated NTR, but was thinking of adding it as a path. Unless you’re some sort of masochist I don’t understand that way of thinking as a creator.

I wont take their money to add content I do not want in my game. Those that do are not writing for the story they are writing for the money and could care less about the real story they wanted to tell. To me if its not planned... not part of the original story.. it doesnt go in no matter what anyone asks or offers.

They aren't contradictory. Because there are different paths, there will be different endings. I know where I expect the different paths to lead, but that doesn't mean I have the endings written out. This isn't Harry Potter; I'm not writing the story to get to my ending.

While some writers plan out everything that's going to happen before writing the story and stick to their outline, no matter what, I can't do that. For example: I was just writing a day 2 scene with Julia. In my outline I had certain things happening, but as I wrote it, they didn't fit, so those things are being pushed to a later chapter. Maybe those things will never fit the story. I'll have to wait and see.

Many writers let the stories guide them as they're being written. Stephen King has written about this many times, that his stories surprised him when they went in directions he didn't see coming. That's what I'm doing. Are there things I know will never happen in this story? Sure. Aliens aren't going to show up and capture everyone. Maria isn't going to snap and murder everyone in their sleep... I don't think. But, if there is a possibility of something happening in the future, I'm not going to say no.

Here's what I'll say as an absolute: Big John will not romance nor convince all of the girls to be his. Or any of the girls. This is not his story. None of the girls like him or want him there, including Linda. For Linda, he's a means to an end, which began as an escape but evolved into self punishment. If you're playing this game to see Big John have his way with everyone, don't bother. Will Big John get any unavoidable action? Nope. Will he get any action? Maybe... I'll have to see how things go.

Edit: I should add that I won't be making changes to the story based on public opinion, unless I specifically make a poll about it. That would be more for interactions between the MC and others, and not to add NTR content.

What’s hilarious is that if you posted this exact statement instead of that other random statement, in which sounded like you were unsure about what content you wanted to add, none of this discussions would’ve happened lol. There’s more clarity now then it was yesterday.

Well, it can be understandable seeing how people are crazy with NTR.

I really don't understand why tought. You play porn games in wich you kill, rape, blackmail and you play normal games in wich you kill hundreds, bomb cities, destroy everything but, no, the really important value is the NTR.

To me, this is a pure hypocrisy in a f.... up polarized world in wich you have to take posture from crazy radical thinking and its just a way to draw a line in wich people think they have to take position to show publicaly (i don't even know if all anti ntr warrior are sincere) that they are good or bad (as if this could be summarized in one aspect).

Unfortunatly the same mechanisms applies to serious political problems where positions are made as an instagram pic: take a simple and easily identified position (that you can understand without any thinking, all black or all white), make it look natural and spontaneous, make it look you genuinly and sincerly believe in it. And potentialy make money out of your deliberatly cleaving stuff.

Are you talking to yourself here? It seems like you started to pontificate and then forgot yourself by the end. Like, what?!? It's not hard to understand why each and every example you said is received the way it is. While you have some merit in comparing some of those things, the fact that you maybe assume that the people complaining about NTR are the same people who look at the prospective that you hand picked for your examples is a little far-fetched. Context is clear. The context of anti-NTR fans is that: "In my sex games, I don't want my girls to be touched" pretty easy to relate to, or AT LEAST, understand.

We all have different reasons for playing stuff, but I think most of us are clear that we engage in fiction mostly to escape the world a bit and relax in a different one. Most people like to inhabit nice worlds, not fucked up ones. NTR is a bad vibe that some don't like. That's it.

Honestly, I think that there is some overreaction going on here. Yes, child trauma is not something to enjoy, but if it is used to define the character personality (and as long as there are no visuals of the acts but only narrative), then I would say go for it.

Does she like it? No. Does she allow it to get what she wants from Big John? Yeah. Will it continue? Make the right fucking choices and it'll stop. Or, maybe you don't want it to stop. Make the choices for that. Will you see that shit going on? No, I don't think so. I don't want to say never, but I really can't think of the scenario where that scene would be necessary. So, NO, you won't see Big John fucking Linda.

Now, I'll admit that a lot of my wording is based on semantics because I know some things which have already been written, while not NTR, are close to it, but also avoidable.

You can all see that NTR is not listed in the planned tags. I will say that chapter 2 can start with an NTR-ish scene, depending on what you did in chapter 1. NTR isn't my thing, so I doubt this game will have actual NTR content. I'm not going to say absolutely, because one scenario I have thought about for the late game is much closer to NTR than the scene in chapter 2.

The story is guiding me, not the other way around. If the story demands it, I might not be able to deny it, to my own dismay.

Will ntr-ish scene or any ntr scene be avoidable? I'm interested in the game but I don't care for ntr and my real concern is that I put time into the game and then have a surprise unavoidable ntr moment after playing all this time if I can avoid ntr then I'll give it a go but if you're going to put unavoidable ntr in later than I'll move on and avoid the game? Ntr just isn't my thing

I'm not a big fan of child rape/molestation (I'm not sure if that's what happened in the past or not, just judging from posts) but I'll bear with it and speak honestly of what I find.

Without giving away spoilers, I want to say that some of this is covered in future installments. Hows and whys will be revealed and explored. Not everything is known by the MC, or even all of the other characters.

Also, the choices you make will have impacts on the ending of the game. Right now, depending on choices you make, there are four different end screens. Which did you get? Play again, make different choices and see how that changes. A major plot point changes depending on a choice you make, which way did your story go? Choices have benefits and detriments to them. Play how you want and be rewarded and penalized for those choice.

I just realized that I didn't give a save warning before the end, so I'll be posting a 0.01b soon, with that and some other changes.

As for the pacing, I'm expecting this to run for around seven days (chapters), so things had to get rolling. There will be more fireworks to come.

I feel like you glossed over the issue. Tone and pacing aside, the MC's character is wildly inconsistent on the rapey choices. This is where your mantra of letting the story dictate the flow should come in. The story is about the MC trying to protect his family. He has multiple monologues and conversations showing that he is genuine in this intention.

When you pick the rapey choices, there isn't a shred of inner conflict in the MC. The choice is not supported by the script. Rather, you probably have an ending that results from being a rapey asshole in mind, whether it be losing the girls trust, forming a harem of sex slaves, or whatever. You can't justify choices based on the end result down the line. It has be consistent with the character when the choice is presented or be made consistent during the immediate outcome.

I can see 2 ways.

1) The MC is too weak to resist the urges. Like a compulsion. He wants to protect them, but he is too fucked in the head to resist doing rapey things. This should come with some inner conflict due to cognitive dissonance.

or

2) The MC's motivations be clarified quicky on the rapey route. It needs to set a trigger that you can call during monologues and such that changes his motivations to a selfish one where he wants the girls for himself or something. Maybe even wanting to take over the whole operation.

If you think the current script is fine, that's your call. I never commented on the direction of the plot or any fetish involved. I only picked out some problems I saw with the execution of said direction, so maybe it's worth looking over.

ok I had a comment quite different from this one in the beginning ... but I read another comment from the dev where it makes the subject clearer ...
From what it seems "Big John" is more of a "Villain" in a more mature way than most games, normally these characters are oriented to sexual content and with that humiliating the MC, something that in this game IS NOT SO, the character is oriented to family violence something MUCH more credible, without mentioning that the only girl who "could" be involved with him is the mother and, from what the dev says, this is going to be avoided.

It seems like a good thing, a game where there is an NPC that is crap BUT not ntr-oriented, if done right it can work.

As a last advice to the dev is to tell the story you want to tell and do not let yourself be convinced by others (players or patreons) to change the content.

To be fair, just in the last messages he made it clear that if there is some NTRish it will be avoidable.

He wasnt even close to clear the first messages. For me its pretty clear now.

I don't think so. I just downloaded it and I'll play it later, but from what I gathered, the MC is heavily damaged by abuse from the "Eric" in this game. Dev made it clear there won't be any NTR with any characters bar the Mom because she's in a relationship with him, but that stuff can be stopped from happening completely or not if you wish.

I think a damaged MC is better than a weak-from-birth MC. I heard someone say he's determined to stop the torment this man has put upon his family.

In the love route you want to protect the girls and you win them over with love (obviously XD), while in the other route you want them for yourself as your slaves, something like SHELTER.
You might be right, but it should establish the MC's mindset from the get-go, that's where most games screw it up, putting a weak, sensitive MC on one route and a badass Apha on the other.
