they explain what is going on and why lobsterman9999 has some extra work to do
also it explains that there is no presence on Patreon any more
which in turn explains why there isn't currently a specific update date
he said game is almost done, 1 month ago, why doesn't he share it here? anyway it will be on here in literally 1 day

That guy that is basically his PR team already told us what is happens.
The game dev wants to have his subscribstar account up and running before he put the actualization online. So, the fault is on the subscribstar site for not put his account up and the dev wishes to keep the uptade after the account is up
Do we know if he's still developing the game during this hiatus? Can we expect a bigger update after subscribestar finalizes?
This isn't a hiatus, he's probably still working. There's really no need to rush him, like chill and do something else while you wait y'know
This seems kinda shady. Game hasn’t been updated in five months, yet I’m sure the developer has still been collecting those monthly Patreon checks. Now the update should be “done”, but they won’t release it until they can get their new money making service up and running?
The game is great, don’t get me wrong, but this seems very suspect.

I understand the suspicion my guy, I do. I've been burned by Patreons before (Simbro team! smh..) but this ain't it. Fairly certain Patreon shut down the checks, and said GTFO to lobsterman. Cannot confirm, as I'm not LM but that'd be about the only reason I'd move to SS.
However, just wanna add. Moving your IP (regardless of LM's reason to) is not and never will be suspicious. You move, you move. Nothing suspect about it. Everyone should already be aware of what's going on with SS. It's no surprise there's delays with new accounts (TGS included).
My advice? Chill out and be patient. This is (by far) my favorite adult game, but I'm still willing to wait for that update. I'm sure you're waiting as well, and might I recommend Rimworld as a fantastic time-killer. You'll play it for four hours swearing it was 20 minutes. Sorry, first time at a bar since Covid started. You have an excellent rest of your night, sorry for the ramble

What? Two new accounts that literally just popped into existence today, not to mention 4-5 profiles with only a single comment in this page alone, complaining about the dev? It's not suspicious at all

Sorry you don’t like what I have to say, but nothing I’ve said is false. The Dev has continued to collect money with no updates for months and now that the money dries up, won’t release a supposedly completed update until the new payment service is online and collecting. It simply sounds suspect to me, plain and simple.
Also, don’t pretend to know me or my situation. This game is posted in lots of different forums, so just because I have a new account here doesn’t mean I haven’t followed and/or supported this game for a decent amount of time elsewhere. Whether or not I am/was a Patreon supporter, and that is ultimately no business of yours, is irrelevant to the validity of my grievance here.

A simple "No" would have sufficed. When the next update will be released, and whether us patrons are getting milked, that's no business of yours as well. It shouldn't bother you whether he's collecting patreon paychecks or not, unless you are paying him ( If you did, you'd know that while his page is under review, he's not getting anything)
lobsterman has been developing solid game with good updates and I was a patron of him before his site was shut down the previous updates took some month to develop and while I would like the update to be posted I understand that this takes time. I don't think we have seen the last of this game at this site.

Either way, make sure you slam down your credit card the moment the dev’s new payment processor goes live. Better yet, why not just DM them your card numbers so they can go on a shopping spree with it for the next 6-8 months between content updates?

You'd think devs had subscribestar accounts up by default since every game with worthwhile content is guaranteed to break patreons ToS and it's just a game of waiting enough reports to pile up before you need to go there exclusively.
