Not to mention it is nice to know the devs actually care about feedback, honestly triple A game devs could learn from porno games.

*stuff that I understand but was hella patronizing for no reason*
Look, I get all that, but my point is that eventually a couple girls that never have content will get left behind. I considered it like when a Fanfiction author leaves the pairing up to a vote: it changes the story from what they originally intended and removes all potential from interesting combinations and instead often goes to the most popular one, even if they've had way more stories/attention than any other ship.

Also, if you're going to disagree, there's no need to patronize me like that. I am a Patron of them so it's not like I don't have the option to choose.

And feedback is fine, but there's a difference between giving feedback on the game itself and deciding which girls gets the most content over other girls.

It can be annoying, especially when you aren't a patron and can't vote in the first place, or are completely ignored even if you give critical feedback because you aren't like some other devs tend to do. That said, in a game that is not just a hobby project, meaning Patreon funding is the primary purpose even if the dev enjoys making it, the money comes first, especially if it is their primary income overall like it is with some devs. They get that money for this game by offering the ability to help choose the next girl or two to get content, so that becomes a necessary sacrifice. No, I don't agree with it, either. I do agree that taking suggestions under advisement is a nice way to keep the fans happy, though.

The truth is Josh, it's not like I have every storyline written out for every girl. Early on I presented a number characters with a range of appearances and personality traits (e.g. rich stuck up girl for Donna or exhibitionist for Liz) then asked people who they'd like to see more of first. There is a substantial gap between holding the polls and them taking effect as I then write the girls' stories lines based on people's choices. Nothing is being lost by people choosing one girl over another. The main storyline and progression of the school rules etc isn't being affected. Also, I won't deny it's a financial coniseration. I want the game to appeal to as many people as possible and by focusing on characters people like the best I'm hoping to attract and keep the most patrons. Another good thing about the poll is its the fairest way to decide. People can't get angry if their favourite character wasn't chosen to be next if there was a fair vote.

While I would love to agree, this is an anonymous corner of the net. People will get mad if you're wearing the wrong socks, even if they can't see it ... They shouldn't if they "lost" in a fair vote (and for me every result is a "win" anyway, just a question of how much winning there is), but they will. (Not meaning Josh here, having a principled opinion about a matter is not the same as being a sore loser)

Not to mention the fact we picked 2 characters, to go with the twins, Alice, Faye and Zoe, so it is not like we are picking all the characters being developed, but just as I said in Harem Hotel, people want to bitch about anything even if it is free.

Josh Spicer Sorry if I sounded patronizing, it wasn't my goal.

Some people may get mad if their fav character doesn't win, but that's life, you gotta take what you get. or you can be like me and like all characters so you're happy every update.

Polls can be done well, or poorly.
One key if you are polling to see who gets in next, then make sure the ones who were recently updated, so not show up in the polls for a certain number of updated after that, so that no one gets focused upon too much. Otherwise you get certain characters (family) who get voted for every update, and the rest get ignored.

Well then don't like it don't play it.
I was a Patron of this game up until recently because I had to give a few things up for financial issues. So it's definitely not about "not liking it". Trust me, of all the people here, I don't need that "don't like it don't play it" bullshit.

That's fair and I appreciate the clarification and insight on y'all's though process. Just a personal opinion that has spiraled into more than I intended it to be. All the same, thank you.

And thank you for making your intentions clear. Apologies if I came across as too cross. I'm used to people taking an immediate negative attitude and I guess I just wasn't having it then. Again, sorry about that.

Agreeing with Cartageno here, you honestly can't please everyone. There is always going to be at least one person not satisfied. That said, it is a win no matter what since the majority get what they want and it sounds like none of the girls are being left out, they just get put into a lesser priority spot, so every single girl will get as much content as they were always going to get no matter what barring an inability to continue development for whatever reason whether on the entire game or on a specific character. (For example, something could come up where you could no longer have time at all for development and therefore have to drop the project completely or maybe Patreon suddenly decides Rachael is too underage looking to be allowed.) I know she's not, that's just an example using the best character I could think of for the most obvious issue that would cause a character to be dropped.

Simple don't like it don't play it.
If this is your response to any criticism than you're in for a rough time buddy.

Again: I was a Patron until a couple week ago. Trust me, it's not a matter of "not liking" it so you can stop saying that. Just because I'm not a fan of a specific tactic used outside of the game by the dev (one that they have defended and I have accepted) doesn't mean I don't like the game.

So again, please stop using that bullshit line. It does no one any help and only irritates those who dare to criticize anything.

In the end there'll always be people who're upset, but they're not upset that the system is unfair, because it frankly isn't. They're upset that their favourite gril, or the ones they like at any rate, aren't the ones getting updates.

This isn't a love story where the poll locks out every other love interest, it's a game about a manipulative headmaster systematically going through his student body. All the girls currently introduced will have their story lines fleshed out, it's only a matter of when. And quite frankly, as someone else pointed out further above, keeping the majority happy keeps the wallet happy and without a happy wallet we'll have zero updates.

Did they advance the punishing system (add more scenes/girls) in the director's office last few updates?

Last time i played only the twins were available and those were unfinished.

You can get Debbie to level 6, and Rachel to level 5, as of right now, the next update should bring Cass and Amy in too.
