Before it wasn't? I know nothing about the history of this game.
No, it is only just now being done, as well as redoing a lot of older stuff that made no sense like you make Debbie prefect, and then on the weekend you tell her and Cass to turn their music down Debbie gives you the finger, which is well dumb, so it needs to be changed.

Seems like the twins cause trouble not only for the ambitious and struggling Headmaster but also for Altos and Herdone :D
This kind of disruptive behavior deserves some well adjusted punishment methinks ... hmm ... I got an idea ... Samantha, please summon Mary and Louise to my room.

Well, there was the start of the game and then small elements like hallway scenes and advancing storylines added to it to flesh it out. Now A&H are doing the framework for the second large part and starting a couple storylines at once, which is way more than any previous update.

Personally, I prefer fewer and larger updates to more often released smaller ones once the basic game is settled (in the beginning it is probably prudent to release more often, so that the little kinks that will unavoidably be included can be smoothed out). One reason being that I feel disappointed if I see a new version, download it, and am done with it on the same evening, feeling like an incomplete gaming session. That is a matter of taste of course, and can easily be remedied (and by now I do that) by skipping a couple of upgrades giving you more or less the same effect as if the dev did it.

The more "serious" reason to me is that having too small updates loses a lot of time. At the end of the dev cycle you have to tie everything up so it will be playable, you cannot let a scene hanging, you need to find a good point to stop for now. Then you need to do all the technical stuff of turning your in-engine stuff into a program, zipping it up, uploading it. This will be more or less the same time you'll need no matter how large the update, so this amount of time will be lost three times if you release four times faster.

Of course, updates shouldn't be too big either, because then they may include a lot of bugs at once, and it affects sandbox style games more heavily than VN style games, so it is impossible to judge from the outside what the right (meaning "results per time spent" optimized) length of the "dev cycle" is, so in general I will refrain from second guessing a dev's decision, which may also include personal factors (e. g. patreon happiness, personal work strategies of the dev, and so on). So what's good for the Headmaster may be mediocre for Sunshine Coast and be the end of 53X, and vice versa. Or not at all.

Do you want a save clean of cheats use? I don't even know if I have unlocked all content.

yes, it will help a lot anyway, I just don't want to have to spend so many other hours to release everything again, if you can share it I would appreciate it very much. And I thank you from the heart.

Zipping and uploading can be done while you are working on next update if your computer is good enough and with ligther updates you save the time of community management. I feel it so stupid that devs show previews of the next update... If it is necessary to give previews to appease the community, then you should give this material in the form of lighter updates.

While I hate waiting, I love this guy for always putting effort in his updates and not releasing half assed stuff monthly

RCDL I was stupid enough to use in-game two of my non pornogames nickname. If you find out how to change my MC's name, I'll share my save.

We all would love that as well, previously the updates are in a 1-2month basis. It wasn’t problematic for him.

The reason for the ‘delay’ or longer than usual update is due to the ‘Chapter 2’ of the game being made by the Dev. Now Chapter 2 of the game mainly focus on the main story continuation, more girls to punish, more individual girl stories, new locations. Given the timespan of 1-2months, all these renders + writing from the dev won’t get possible to be squeezed in.

I believe Altos takes pride in his work, quality over a half fuck update. Most of his patrons would rather wait a little longer for the quality of work he produces.

Hope this answers your question.
Not to mention Covid. A lot is happening in the world. And People who actually like this game, and are not trolls or just on the thread to be an antagonist and post confrontational post, don't mind waiting for a game update. It's not like Altos is making a Triple A title for PS5 or shitbox. Herdone is not some exec breathing down his neck to meet a crunch deadline scheduled.

I support this game as a patreon. I actually pay to play and I don't mind waiting.

Right? You have a good point I didn't even thing of that.

Same I can't stand small updates so I tend to wait for a few to be released before I play a game again. I usually wait for like versions that end with 0 or 5 to play them. I look foreword to this well thought out and worked on update.

I think a three month cycle is the best.

The Dev. explained very clearly why this update would take longer than usual updates. But the game usually is updated monthly. With quite a lot of new content.
You know how it is. Some people are never satisfied. They complain about update coming to quickly and being short on one thread. Then complain about the update taking to long and not needing to be so big on another thread, like this one. It's just individuals looking for a fight. Trolls really.

On a side note Altos has been talking very positively about this upcoming update on his discord the last two days. Seems some hold up is in regard to redoing some renders and house keeping issues.

A bigger update requires a bigger time period to make it. More than understandable to wait for a quality product like this one.

Hey guys,
I've committed myself to a release date for the 7th November for the beta version. Here's a teaser poster I made. Couldn't post it publicly on Patreon because of their rules about nudity. Been working hard on this for months and got plenty to show for it. Over 1400 images made so far (although admittedly a lot of those are for the red butt overlay effect for all the new spanking animations), around 50,000 words or so of dialogue.

I have no doubt that some people will still tell me I haven't been working hard enough or they expect more but that's the way it goes I guess. Version 0.9 Poster 2.jpg
