Happy New Year!
It's been a year for me and my little project. I started out strong last January with a plan and progress and even a hopeful release date in Feb! That plan went to shit entirely and carried over right into November when I actually released a Chapter 2 build. It still wasn't and isn't 100% where I wanted but I need to release to move myself forward instead of just spinning my wheels and dreading working. I released it, the feedback was positive (thank you to those who call MC's wife fat and ugly, I know you still played some of it! and you are wrong.) and honestly it reenergized me.

Chapter 3 is 3/4 of the way written as I try to bring the story into a more manageable state where releases are more frequent. I will have 90% of the writing done this week and then the 2nd week of January I can start working on the visuals since the kids will be back at school. I have also gone back in a couple of places of Chapter 2 to make small tweaks to help chapter 3 flow better and help me out.

This is my optimistic plan for 2024.
January bonus content - Mid Jan.
Chapter 3 - End of Jan - Mid Feb
Chapter 4 Mid-Late April
Chapter 5 End of June
Summer Break
Chapter 6 - End of September
Chapter 7 End of November
Bonus content will be monthly except for the summer months where I will pause patreon payments at that time.

Sprinkled in will be regular "Onlyfan" type posts using AI models. Initially is will be just Heather but I will expand out to Wife/Jo as I understand the creation process better.
Again, this is my optimistic plan but I think there is some realism in there also.

However, I find your planned update schedule to be very optimistic, and I think you should be prepared that it might take a bit longer than expected, not a dig at you, but it wouldn't be the first time in AVN history. If you find yourself debating whether you should release an update with less content than you wish in order to meet a deadline, or if you should maybe delay the update until you've properly implemented all that you want in the update, I'd urge you to take the second option every time.

Thank, those who have followed the project from my prologue release are probably more realistic than I am lol. At least I am still on schedule for the Chapter 3 release.
And thank you for the advice on delaying, that is what I would likely do but it's nice to hear feedback from others.

The netorase route is the only one I've tried and it's quite lighthearted and fun. It has many choices for the husband character to either watch or participate in relatively varied scenes. I hope it actually gets finished.

It's the 3rd week of January and I am not entirely sure what my current update is. I forgot this week is semester break so my teens are home all week. Chapter 3 could still be mid Feb and Jan bonus content should be out for end of the month.

Some good news on the development front, I have finally found someone to partner with to help create the visuals. Hopefully this drastically reduces the giant delays in updating the game. It has taken the last week and a bit for us to get up to speed on working together, and it is still going to take some more but I am confident that this is a really positive step.

My partner is working hard on getting the reconnecting sex scenes all completed. I am working on the transitions and the morning after scenes and conversations. I am on vacation this week and next and have blocked a good chunk of time off to get this chapter done. So there is some good progress!

I don't know what to title these small updates so dates it will seem to be.
Chapter 3's final sex scene is done and added to the game, now I am just polishing (still) the kitchen table conversation from the day after and setting up Chapter 4. I am looking forward already to chapter 4 since it will be structured different than any previous chapters and I think you will enjoy it.

I have started also on the March Bonus as well as April's. March will be "Dinner with the Boss" as voted on by you. April will be a patron request scenario that I think will be really cool and sexy.

Working away. Having a partner makes so much less work for me and let's us obviously work faster. Especially as we continue to figure our systems out.

This is a smaller bridge chapter but I think an important one, it rambles at times and that is partially intentional. There is a lot to unpack after a night like our couple had in Chapter 2 and especially with the warp speed that they went at (assuming, you the player tried to cram as much fun in as you could).

Going forward I would like chapters to be a little more this size as it allows a little more frequent release schedule. If you have been around since I first release you have been VERY patient with me. I started work on this project in Feb 2020. I had to both learn Renpy from scratch (not too difficult) and figure out Honey Select and all it's unique quirks. I released the prologue in Jan 2021 with 225ish images and 2100 lines of code (plus tinkering with screens and GUI). Chapter 1 came out at the end of May 2021 with another couple hundred images and 3500 lines this time. I have said elsewhere Chapter 2 was almost the project killer. Too much, too soon, and too ambitious. In the end I am fairly happy with how it turned out (and it seems players are also) but there are things that I did fail on. Not reflecting all the choices made in Chapter 1 feels like a let down to me, you the MC, made choices that you were then allowed to break in Chapter 2. In the real world this doesn't really happen, and shouldn't! Saying to your partner, "this is off the table" and then going ahead and doing it at a party or club is not a recipe for longterm, lifestyle success. So Chapter 2 is a little handwavy in places unfortunately . In the end the chapter was about 500 images with 4500 lines and finally released in Nov 2023. Too long! I got to points where I wanted to just walk away from the game but stayed due to a few kind words from strangers and myself wanting to tell the story. I kept coming back. Once Chapter 2 was released it was a giant relief and I was able to start writing Chapter 3 almost right away. This release has still has taken longer than I wanted but I think keeping my expectations reasonable is something I need to continue to work on.

Chapter 3 has about 190 images and 1800 lines. But in that time I released 2 bonus scenarios to "Into the Lifestyle" level Patrons, added a new cell phone system (

) and most importantly for the project, found a partner who has been helping with creating the images. With the bonus content since November we there is another 100 images and another 425 lines of code. So 290 images and 2200 lines over the last 4ish months makes me pretty happy.

My roadmap for the next few months is Chapter 4, as well as 2 bonus scenes. My hope is to have Bonus #1 done by the end of this month, Bonus #2 by the end of April and Chapter 4 for mid-June. I may not be able to implement any visuals the next few weeks due to spring break but I am able to still write and code the basics while my partner works on the images.

One thing I would love to ask of you is give me a review if you can, from what I understand, more reviews and engagement means higher up on the itch pages. More visibility can lead to more money for development, I would love to put extra money into having help providing proper sound design for the game, editing, and other little improvements that would improve the project.

Played chapter 3, it was more of a debrief chapter, but still good, so much branching dialogue based on what happened in chapter 2, now I see what most of the dev time was spent on, I hope for future chapters it will use less of the flags set in chapter 2, just major ones like gloryhole and people they met.

I try really hard to write every thing well. The BBC was a balance for me because it's not a kink we're into and not something that will be incorporated into the main game. However there were so many requests I felt it was worth being made as bonus content.
