You're right. I don't think she's a bitch either. I'm pretty sure she thinks she is trying to do the "noble" thing. Nevertheless, she is a liar. She's not only a liar but when you confront her about it she tries to argue and turn the tables until you flat pin her ears back. I do think she's redeemable and perhaps worth redeeming. She's attractive, smart and talented but, she definitely needs a healthy helping of humble pie. We'll see...

Thing is, Kaija only did what anyone here would do.

She works for a secret organisation dealing with incredibly dangerous things and protecting the general public.

Why would she give out that secret even to someone she loves?

Now also bear in mind members of special forces IRL do not tell thier spouses what they do nor do members of morse specialised branches of security be that civilian or private give out details of their work to their loved ones.

What Kaija was keeping secret is far bigger than the MC. He may be important to her but he isn't more important than every single world connected to Neverwhere.

Glad I read all before replying, I came to argue how bitchy the queen bitch of her bitchiness but you said she is not redeemable which I agree.

You can add Nicki from Friends in Need and there are a few other that I cannot remember. Joshy92 were you defending Vulvamort from Artemis, or am I mistaken? But he has some redeeming qualities namely Alison, Emma, Gracie;)

This actually brings up a small plot hole that I don't think has been mentioned before. "special forces IRL" don't break off a mission to rescue someone covered by another asset. The fact that Kaija does this in the story is one of the things that make me "want to" give her a chance. The plot hole is this - she doesn't even get a hand slap for her actions. Trust me, "special forces IRL" would hand out much more than a hand slap.

I think that shows she really does care for the mc

Also, these special forces guys shouldn't try and get in the way of true love.
