There is certainly no mention of JOHN's delays and false promises;). This developer is quite accurate can delay up to a week, then the unexpected can always happen ...:)

Seems like my save at the end of 0.35 is not working. Is that a common issue that requires me to restart game.

If not, can anyone send me their save for 0.35 if they keep it.

I really liked your game its hard to find good games with FMC. In this game some aspect are done extremely well, some are not so much, so here is some feedback I hope you can use it to make your game even better with the future updates.

  • Narrative, dialogs. Some of them were absolutely amazing, the scenes with Michael and ladder scenes with Simon, they perfectly represented that our MC is getting more flirtious and provocative. As in one scene telling Simon to F off but couple of days later, she is the one willingly spreads and suggesting to him to take pictures. It was so refreshing that she gets more corrupted it appears in dialogs and her behavior as well, not just following the so stupid cliché of: “-I blackmail you to do something more degradatory, so I will be able to blackmail you even more later. -Oh, no I will never do it, but I have no choice so I will do it anyway.” And you go down exactly this road trip/fashion business type of cant write to save my life when you do the Marcus and the IT guys quest chain. WHY? At the first scene with agreed HJ and finish in her mouth I was waited she will say something…: that’s much more than we agreed so you owe me one BIG. But she was just bullied and she is ok, carry on and few minutes later happens again and then again. Bleeeh. Don’t get me wrong the MMF spitroast with hubby watching is one of the best scene in game, but they story arc around it is one of the lowest point of the game.
  • Grinding, repetitiveness. Its pretty much same point. I loved that story arc of Natahan evolving quite quickly into a borrowed wife; and on the other hand is coming more and more story lines with following the exact same pattern, with so obvious and badly designed intention to stretch the game. Marcus, Jim, Simon, Michael, Andy, lunch time janitor, //Zac, Dixon, are kind of ok written so I don’t mind them, apart from too much of the same.// Come on, its ok that one character want to see, tits than pussy than want a bj, but not everyone. Show me one person where in the position of Simon, but especially Marcus, Jim or janitor it’s just want to play with tits only and not his first move would be to try to get his cock out and get a quicky or bj or jerk off on her and if all refused, failed would go for some tit play. I don’t mind you try to make a slow stretch progress but than write it properly. Also Jim and Marcus kind of wasted opportunity when they pushing and pushing for showing them more it would also be much more suitable I believe like after Marcus introduced the tit out house rule, following day she already waiting for him even more exposed tits, so he try to push more (makeshift nipple clamps) and get turned down…
  • Nathan, he is a douche. Maybe because I chose ntr path, so I try to start over, but I highly doubt it will change the story significantly as game seemed to liner for it. I am talking about the Dixon shop scene where he publicly rubs into “his best friend” face she cheated on him, he takes is 5, and he pushes her for carrying lube…. I think need a story arc when he gets put back into his place. She still can become a more and more obedient toy, but because she want it, don’t mind pushed towards it (like Dixon story line, or even it was well done to take her to Dixon and decide for her without asking her what she will wear). Like don’t mind Nathan is a kind of I’m the macho alpha you do whatever I say, but still shouldn’t be disrespectful, degradatory. An idea arranges another 3some with Jessica but this time a Strap on gets out and Nathan gets some pegging. When his machones gets a tantrum, got told of no more lunchtime and “guest husband” privileges if he refuses, never say no only works two ways. And we start teasing him about “sitting comfortably?” so he later gets revenge. Convince Jason that he miss out a lot on not having our ass, but it would be two small for him, so we need an anal training, the two guys taking Stacy to Dixon for some anal stretching a butt plug she needs to wear at work….

paradoxically I do not criticize the delays or the stoper postponements, I only criticize the fact that it takes 5 months for completely modest updates, I am not talking about quality but rather quantity. the fact that it takes 5 months for an update is about the patience of each of us, but when there are developers who release this type of updates in two months, I'm sorry but I prefer to support these.

I agree. I see a lot of people on the JOHN or AWAM thread preaching patience, but at some point 3 - 5 months is just too long. There is a point of diminishing returns, when your inputs don't return the same output that they would have earlier; but beyond that is the point of negative returns. At this point, every new input into the game actually diminishes the final product. While I would never argue that JOHN or AWAM are at the point of negative returns, they're maybe closer to that point than they are the point of diminishing returns.

Meanwhile, The Office Wife just seems to consistently hit the mark. The updates are quality in both their length and content, and they release before I've even begun to really miss the game. It's great! It's always like, "hey, here's more content! God, this game is great." The updates aren't perfect, they can be rough around the edges, but I feel like he's always on the correct side of that law of diminishing returns. He has the balance right, and I think that impresses me more every time JOHN or AWAM release an update that took twice as long as Office Wife and has less content.

Fully agree, as far as the graphics are concerned I think they cannot be compared also because one is an RPGM even if done well it has its limits

At some point the graphics are honestly good enough. The term "good enough" has a bad connotation, but it doesn't need to. Ren'Py is really great for creating renders that you can show off in previews, but let's be honest- in game everyone is spending fewer than 10 seconds per image. You're clicking through and reading text. The great lighting effects, and attention to detail, that some devs put into their scenes are lost in the shuffle as players move through the scene. The hours and hours that the dev spends crafting the perfect shadows just isn't worth the time. Meanwhile, the most important parts like bodies and faces, RPGM does those well enough that the casual eye doesn't notice the difference in the 10 seconds the image is on the screen.

I was a supporter of JOHN, I left him after almost a year for the reasons he said #umby# to switch to supporting TOW, but as a rendering JOHN, for me he has no equal, maybe he could approach Broken Dreamers and I can guarantee you that you notice to rendering to details. However I decided to support The Office Wife for me it means that I consider it valid enough graphically, that it does not fall into an ordinary model (I'm talking about graphics), it keeps its commitment with its supporters by making an update every 2 months, the updates are full of content and it doesn't take a year of work to make a history day as JOHN.

Then as was unfortunately predictable it literally got stuck in updates that did one step forward and 3 back, and even if stoper claims otherwise this fact is undeniable. Now I know that he will release an update where at 90 percent there is the usual scene with the boyfriend, but what is the point? nobody. Returning to the office wife, it is a simple but very exciting game and is proof that you don't need to squeeze your brain for who knows what story but a simple urban context is enough, a job to do and a handful of characters on which to interact in turn. If stoper had followed this simple pattern with every update, it would now be the best game of its kind on the market. guaranteed.

I'm not sure that's fair. Not every game needs to be JOHN, but not every game can be Office Wife. Some games need to be fuck-fests, where the sex gets increasingly more depraved and kinky. But if every game is like that it wouldn't be special anymore. The same goes for JOHN, we need games that are slow burns and try and depict more "realistic" sexual escapades. Players need to tailor their expectations accordingly to each game, otherwise you'll be disappointed too often.

However, that doesn't change the fact that sexy content is still a requirement, and that a certain amount of it is expected in each update. The problem with games like JOHN and AWAM is that the long development cycles raise expectations from players, if they're waiting 4+ months for a new release then they want a corresponding amount of sexual content. But that increase in expectations isn't achievable because it would disrupt the attempt at realism. So you're left with updates that take 30 minutes to play, took twice as long to develop as Office Wife, and have only a third of the sexual content of Office Wife. That's a really, REALLY, bitter pill to swallow.

The only thing I can say that really bothers me from an art perspective from Office Wife is the background clipping through. When I'm having a conversation with another character in the office, often the background of the image will clip-out (I don't know the correct term) and I'll see the overhead world view. It's really distracting and it's a reoccurring problem.

This is something I plan to fix in the release after the current one. The way I was scripting the images was fine until the game started getting bigger and laggier. There are numerous ways to fix it, though. It's just a matter of me going back and redoing them all, which is a big project, but one worth doing I think.

Managed to find and old save and started playing from enchantment 26.

But now I'm stuck at 32. Can't trigger 33. Walkthrough says something about talking to marcus but option never pops-up.

Help please.

You're contradicting yourself just a bit. The first paragraph is more or less logically sound, the second one is complaining about what you defend in the first.

I think much of the problem can be blamed on a couple of factors:

1) The average age of the people on this sight is such that impatience is inherent in their outlooks. Even when authors plainly, and boldly, state their works are slow burns, or that there will be limited sexual content (either overall or at the beginning), people just burn right through those signs and complain like crazy anyway. The amount of whining on here is through the roof and how that whining is often worded supports my assertion about their average age.

2) There are dozens and dozens of games on here that pump out simplistic, formulaic, repetitive, trope-laced, same-old same-old stuff and that conditions people into thinking all should fit the same mold. I give a lot of credit to authors with thick skins that stick to their plans. JOHN and AWAM are right in my wheelhouse and are geared to a more mature audience. When the games are finished, playing them will be a treat. Yes, JSD is pumping out material faster that the other two games mentioned, but his circumstances may allow him to do so while the others may be doing the best they can or however they feel most comfortable/enjoyble. It's inappropriate to expect all devs/authors/teams to meet the same schedule. Without knowing their RL situations, I am not going to judge them on output. If they produce good stuff I don't care if it's 4 weeks or 4 months--just do something with commitment to excellence.

Awam has the most toxic fanbase around. Constantly attacking critics because they're either too immature or don't understand the "art". It's a fuckin porn game. They're not making the next AAA game that's gonna redefine the way we play games. We're all here for one thing, to jerk our dicks off.
