The biggest thing he needs to change is the sheer amount of random events that get tied to one room. It can take forever to get the correct scene you want to progress the game.

Even with a decent dedicated graphics card the transitions between scenes are really slow, hopefully he will change that in his new game.
That's tied to Nightmare's point above yours... Sorting that one, helps sort your one.

I'm 90% certain it's not related to amount of content to be loaded. About the same delay happens whether I run the game from a spinning hard disk, or an NVME SSD or even ramdisk.
It rather seems to be a blanket fade in/out transition for every room change, unrelated to amount of stories/poses that take place. Removing it would be even easier than trimming down content.

The developer has written repeatedly that Twist's story is already complete. We'll see 0.45 and 0.46 updates...he mentioned in a conversation with his patrons that there would be an update on Billy's story and possibly an update on the scene with Janice on the pier)
the public version of the new game Seaside Mystery is coming out soon and he (the developer) will be completely dedicated only to it... at most will be correcting mistakes in Twist.

as much as i know most people don't like about Billy and Janice in this thread,
on his discord and mainly on patreon most comments are all about billy and janice,
but billy and janice is always an optional path,
plus he did mention that the main plot of the twist is already completed (which means if u use the incest patch and play the game, that final revelations about janice is actually the main plot of the whole game hence the name of the game)
there will be more jason with the others coming on the update,
but i can't say much about kendra since he haven't mentioned kendra in any reply i've seen
Well, to be accurate, the whole game is pretty optional...
Just don't play the game if you don't like the content. If you say that Billy is optional, everything is.
But KST's time isn't "optional". This is the key resource to manage in this project.
People who complain about Billy's content want to see KST give them what they want rather than answering to the requests of another group of users.
It's a fight for attention to get the rare resource (developer time).
Myself, I'm not really into the game. I'm more interested in business aspects and the innovative concepts in the genre. And I think that Billy's content is "original".
Thanks to it, I learned a new concept. NTR. never heard of it. But apparently it's a thing in Japan.
And personally, I find the harem idea a bit old fashioned. The MC in the game gets all the girls in the world. It was fine in the beginning. Can't have an MC not getting his way with women in a game with sexual content.
But it breaks the charm and realism of the game. When the MC is a genius at getting women into his bed... It ruins the story and make it less believable. Maybe add a choice? Get this girl but lose this girl.
And having the MC surrounded with tall, mature women is cool. I'm a bit tired of the hentai girls, small, cute, innocent etc... I like the concept of older mature kinky women. Tall, strong, beautiful rather than cute.
I think it's a real plus in the game. I think KST is Russian or something of the kind. You can feel there is some "balls" in the cultural mix.
So... All in all, KST made some choices. And about Billy's... Personally, I dislike the stereotype of the fat nerd playing world of warcraft. I find it disgusting and boring. It exists, for sure, but I hate it. It gives a bad image to gamers.
Why can't we be athletic, sociable, smart, wise, skilled and awesome individuals who can achieve anything in life... and still enjoy a video game with our friends.
Why do we have to be losers to be gamers? Aren't games about problem solving? Acquiring skills? Being awesome? Working together? communicating? Cooperating? Challenging our limits? And yet, we get stuck with the fat silly gamer stereotype with Billy... I dislike him for that. Just for that.
But others love it. Maybe it's like those Japanese porn genres where there is an old ugly dude enjoying young and pretty girls? I don't know... maybe it's the contrast that makes it interesting?
Porn sites made a study explaining the success of amateur genres. They say that average looking women are sexy because they are believable. Users think they can get such women in bed with them. While porn stars with fake bodies and tons of make up look unreachable.
Can't be sure. Watch and see.

billy path is optional is not my word but from KST himself,
plus he's not in the wrong taking suggestion from his supporters tho,
rather than listening to people that doesn't support him but demanding stuffs from him imo
and he's german if i'm not mistaken the last time i talked to him in DM while asking about the game development, (i could be wrong tho on this so don't quote me what nationality KST is lol)
NTR is a thing here in japan for a very long time,
the word itself came from japanese language it's just shortened as NTR
it depends on which type of NTR that people are talking about,
and what Billy is doing in this game is nowhere close to what NTR is,
he's not even stealing Janice from Jason lmfao,
people just have some misunderstanding about the meaning of NTR,
anyway...
regarding about Billy's being fat, KST did mention saying he's not that fat, it's just him making billy look too fat
but he never had any intention on making billy looking that fat, just a bit chubby

The fade-in when loading locations used to be a lot shorter in general, but became noticeably longer in different areas as more and more content was added to those locations, especially multiple events that can all happen in the same times as others in that location.
It started becoming an issue a couple of years ago, first noticed iirc with the living room during the day time.

I agree with you in general principle, but I would disagree with a small part.
Billy's path is optional, yes. This is what KST says to people who hate NTR content.
You have to know that many people come to this forum and in KST's channels to say, a bit worried even, "is NTR avoidable?".
Some people really care about the characters and the story, they identify hard with the MC or whatever... So for them, NTR is devastating.
Like in the other face of that same coin, some people freak out (positively) when they get NTR content.
For me, it's just a game, I don't care. So I don't understand. But for them... It's almost a true story happening.
So yes, it's avoidable. But when KST works for the opposite crowd, you "lost" in a figure of speech. KST's time isn't "avoidable".
And yes, you have to take feedback from the supporters. Absolutely true.
But for me, KST made a HUGE mistake when he closed his suggestion channels to non-supporters. That's terrible business strategy from my perspective.
Imagine that if you had a revolutionary idea to transmit to KST. Like the idea that would make this game popular to millions of people. That would make KST super rich and super powerful to make a legendary game... But the day you took the time to put it into words and to send it to KST... You discovered that you had to give money first before sending it...
Opportunity lost for KST. Because he wanted to focus on the feedback from supporters only... What a loss, what a shame.
Feedback is support. Some give money, it's good and useful. Others give their time and creativity and attention. It's support too.
On this forum, you can see Anon helping lost players and helping them with bugs and issues. I think that individual was more valuable to KST than the average supporter. Just an example.

i've also attached the save file, to trigger this problem, once loaded, wait 1 hour Janice will appear in the kitchen then follow the choices "touch her" > "continue" > "pull down pants" > "do it raw" .. this is where it gets stuck View attachment playerInfo.dat

about anon, well he's in kst patreon as well,
and he's been there way longer than i do i think,
but i rarely post here until recently tbh, i usually hangs around BaDIK thread and off topic thread
regarding NTR, like i said tho what billy is doing with Janice in this game is not even categorized as NTR
not even cheating tbh, it's more into sharing/swinging category
that's why i said there's a misconception of NTR,
and from what i've seen at least in most threads that i visited, anything that touches MC's love interest other than MC will go to the 3 letters of doom category most of the time
