You do know he's working on a new game? You do know it's already past the tech demo phase etc...?
Updates to The Twist is to brush (and finish) up the game.
Just to make sure you know what you're talking about. I kinda got the feeling you don't.

I have tried to start a new game but the game locks up a different points and crashes - also tried to load my personal save from .43 version and game locks up with no response and no crash log

The Twist [version: Unity 2017.4.40f1 (6e14067f8a9a)]

d3d11.dll caused an Access Violation (0xc0000005)
in module d3d11.dll at 0023:664c4f0d.

Sorry to tell you this, but your computer/laptop will never be able to play this game. The game is horrible coded and your computer/laptop's hardware is outdated. From the error crash you can see that you literally out of memory (RAM) either occupied by Windows and/or the game.

Better to move on and play something else.

Well, that is kinda bad since this is only 1 year machine with a 16 GB of Ram / GTX 1660 with 8 GB of memory / i-7 9700F core - if that doesn't make standards I don't know what machine will

I think I found the issue - had to run thetwist.exe - force -opengl - seems to be an issue with NVDIA cards and Unity 2017

Your PC may have:

- Broken, outdated GPU drivers. Try updating with clean install.
- You drive may have a bad sector causing a read error on system files. Scan your drive with chkdsk for errors and also check SMART status of the drive.
- Your RAM may be faulty and causing read errors. Test RAM health with memtest.
- Your PC may have malware, virus. Scan your PC with your antivirus and online antivirus scanners.

For more detailed instructions, google the error code.

I just started & im wondering. Does the game have missable scenes with certain characters? or can you still get them regardless of the choices you make?

There are scenes you get, specifically if you choose to involve Billy or not

There are scenes that are missable, specifically if you choose to involve Billy or not

I can't seem to introduce rebecca to kelly, or get them to meet at all, kelly's shop is locked after 20.00, so i can't get in to the dungeon. something I'm missing, followed the walkthrough, some were in different order, so it can be that?

That's most likely why, because by this time you should be able to access the pharmacy at 20:00 at anytime at any day
if not, could mean you missed a step, like steps 457-460, something in the save got messed up.
