I am unsurprisingly discouraged by this project. I've been lurking this one hard for a while with extreme anticipation and can't believe how little it's progressed.
June 27th 2021 or 516 days have passed since the first post on Patreon. It is unfathomable that we're just now hitting v0.9 with this one. To say this new update has content would be a lie. This update was also short with almost no real progression and just to make sure I'm not talking out of my ass I extracted everything I could. This update is so lack luster I couldn't even put it in to words.
If you're on the fence to play this one, Don't. Come back in 1,548 days and maybe it'll be at v0.909. The fact that the patreon has more than one tier with a max contribution of $100 per month is unbelievably laughable.
Don't get me wrong, I'm learning the hard way of how long game development can potentially take especially on the Indie level. But there isn't anything special feature wise about this one. It's literally a branching visual graphic novel. Renders and Text wrapped together in code. There isn't any gameplay or mechanics that would cause this level of delay in development.
Such wasted potential on such beautifully crafting Models. I like their art style a lot, I just wish there was more.

Yeah don't be fooled by this slow burn crap ! using beautiful renders, introducing an interesting plot to bait which makes all the naive supporters defends them , it even makes me laugh how stupid they are. A lot of game devs do that nowadays that I don't even need to mention one, and once they have enough cash, game will end up without any sex at all trust me
I'm fine if some people will still supporting the devs like these BUT!!! you guys might need to start pushing the devs a little bit...
C'mon, It's already more than a year the devs haven't made any good progress. You guys need to push this devs so he can make more content.

I have some serious questions about this torunament, and the mental well-being of any society that thought it was a good idea. They're literally Arkham Citying their own kids because "the teenagers these days are too teenagery?"
Politicians thought this would lower crime? "Aw naw dawg I'm not gonna shoot the guy who's horning in on my drug dealing turf, I'm keeping my nose clean so I can participate in next year's The Purge, But With Tons Of Rules!"
Corporations signed off on this, as a P.R. stunt? "TONIGHT ONLY! One of the kids you go to school with gets murdered in the ring by another of the kids you went to school with! Brought to you by Toyota! When you think youth violence, think Toyota!" (Actually, if I'd said Tesla, it probably would have been on-brand, at this point...)
And do you even need all this extra stuff just to have Boxing Gang Kid go off to Spanksmore Academy? As goofy as it is, all that tournament stuff in the backstory sounds way more interesting than Yet Another School Game. If you're going to include all that nonsense, at least make it what the game is about. That's like starting your story "One day, the Machine Revolution came, and the world as we knew it vanished in the blink of an eye. Then I opened a bakery."
This is why writing matters, people. This game is the poster child of what happens when you go "it's just a porn game, it doesn't have to make sense."
Also, turn down the saturation on your images by about 50%. 25% if you're going for a cartoony aesthetic. I know everybody says the western porn game market is over-saturated, but this isn't what they mean. If they look fine on your end, I don't know, calibrate your monitor or something.

I want to like the game, but the renders are so washed out and over lit that it breaks any story immersion. As mentioned above, the characters end up looking "cartoony". Something really needs help in the renders. Not sure if it's just lighting, but I'm hoping the dev figures it out.
I feel like this could probably be fixed in-engine, actually, by just de-saturating every image before displaying it. It would still require a decompile and some coding, but not batch-processing of each image. You could even make it a setting on the title screen. Then other games could copy the modification. Any game could be made noir or cartoony by the player. This might not be especially useful in the general case, but it might be kinda cool.

With these 3 min updates I see this being abandoned before and real plot progression, It is sad really I like the visuals and the story hooked me in the first few updates but now it leaves me annoyed by how little there is. Better to wait 6-7 updates to get decent game time
i love the games with slow paced but has beautiful renders, like this game, gates motel, and heart problems. keep it up!

You are confusing slow paced with tiny updates...there is no progress here thats called scamming patrons not a slow paced game.

This game is pretty odd from a coding perspective. I have the URM installed and it throws up flags when path options are triggered and i've noticed it always triggering a check for various values upon first meeting someone, values you cannot have before meeting them, like affection, you just met the person and it's already checking if you have >1 affection with them... how would you get that? I thought it might be checking for removed content and decided to save and fiddle with the values before the trigger a couple of times and there's no difference... so why is the game even checking in the first place? It just leaves me scratching my head...

The game’s version is 0.9 (9 updates then) but it’s not even the equivalent of the 0.1 from any serious game.
It’s a shame because the 3 main girls are great (even if 2 of them are not an original creation) and dev could make a lot of money if he takes it seriously. Too bad.

My guess is, it's either planning ahead for a New Game Plus, or it's reusing the same checking code and the character introduction is the default behavior. Maybe you could try tweaking the values at runtime and see if anything changes?

I'm not so sure.Let's assume that, thanks to his slow computer or his dayjob or any number of other things, this is the absolute fastest he can create new content. You get X lines of dialogue and Y renders per month, maximum, where X and Y are the 0.1 -> 0.9 average rate of production.
And let's further assume that he burned one of those updates figuring out the story he was trying to tell. So it's version 0.8 after the same amount of time. And let's pretend he tweaked the colors so the renders are a little less garish.
Same rate of output, except he's taking it as seriously as he can. Better writing, better aesthetic.
Would it be enough?
