It is part of the main storyline. Perhaps made in Christmas like theme, but nonetheless, plays part of main storyline.
I'm sure it's been mentioned already but this is a really shameless plagiarisation of American gods, I only played a short time into the game but it feels like the naration is direct cut and paste from the tv show. I'm all for making porn parodies from existing movies, but you need to have some original thought.. Take an idea but make your own story, not just copy entire scenes from someone elses work, it's embarrasing.

But, Neil doesn't lean half way into fantasy aspect as much as I do or intend. That's all there is to it, this takes and will take an entirely different route.

So far, this looks like it has the potential to be a really great story. That said, this update, in my opinion, had some major issues. The first issue was the vast majority of the update felt really repetitive. It felt like the MC was basically having the same conversation over and over again, sometimes with different characters, sometimes with the same ones. For me, this just felt very tedious and boring. I get that the dev is going for realism and most people, in the same situation, would do the same thing, trying to get answers as to what is going on, but it just wasn't enjoyable to read.
The next issue is that the MC was constantly being an asshole to everybody he meets and then apologizing for it. I get that he is frustrated that he isn't getting the answers he wants as to what is going on, but why would anyone help him if he is acting like a complete prick to everyone he meets that could potentially help him and/or give him answers.
The last issue, that I can think of right now, is a couple of things that made zero sense. The first, why would he quit his job, before even having a meeting with a potential new employer. I could see him maybe doing that if he absolutely hated his current job, but that was not the case here. He just heard about a potential job from somebody he met at a bar. Finally, how in the hell did he not hear the multiple gunshots right outside of his apartment building. I get that it was in the back alley, but he still should have heard it.
Like I said before, I think this has the potential to be a great story. The writing is good, the renders, for the most part, are great (a few were a bit too dark to see what was going on) and I like the girls, so far. I am looking forward to seeing where this one goes.

Wow. The hubris! You really think Neil Gaiman, the man who became famous for CREATING his own mythology with Sandman, one of the most versatile and intelligent genre writers on the planet, barely has any understanding of mythologies?
I am not one to say this too often, because it is often a cheap attempt to discredit criticism, but in this case there is basically no other explanation, and you just didn't understand what he was doing.

Yes. The dude is overrated in the extreme with very little to recommend him. His minimal grasp of actual mythology is insulting to anyone who has even a passing interest in it. The only thing he's a good at is selling his drek; a conman more than a writer.

Hi great game, but i have a question ? Is it possible to activate the Auto-Forward Button in the Quick-Menue ?
Usually it is present by default, but could be I've messed something up due to GUI changes. I'll look into it, can't do much about it at present as I've already uploaded the crap.
But I'll deal with it for the next ride.

I wanted to mention with regards to the Christmas bonus content... FYI, most players will think it's not connected to the main story, and might ignore that content. I would also suggest adding some changes in brackets...(Chapter 1 - Part 1: Christmas event - con't of main story) or at least something mentioning that the bonus x-mas portion actually has content related to the main story.
And some feedback..., I'm not a fan of the limited circle style UI used. I noticed when a player right clicks while in play, it brings up a RenPy frame that could be a save or maybe a load screen...there are no labels (example images below). At first glance a player will not know what screen they are on (first image is actually a save screen, and below that is the load screen showing there is no difference at first glance).
For me the circle style used, limits how the ui features are presented (visually lacking), unlike other RenPy titles that use the clean standard full UI structure, when using the right clicking function (example image below).

Well, that is a fair point. I'll change the text then on that particular field in next update. But yes, I've already answered and I'll repeat it again just in case someone bothers to look.

Thank you by the way, more than happy to hear you find the story up to your liking. The current, latest update that is, a lot of stuff happens as well. Somewhat picks up the pace from where it was.
