A year between updates is kinda crazy for a small scale game like this. I'm starting to think it has been abandoned for the most part despite what's been said and shared. This was promising too so it's disappointing. If the update does come out at some point though and it's short after a year wait then that's gonna be more disappointing.

I don't think anyone is a fan of these small updates.
Least he puts out content still.
I could name another creator who has been down this path which to me makes me lose faith in the game ending well.
However I can see the fan base slowly giving up.
In my eyes, I can see a rushed ending happening just to end it.
Not saying it will happen, just happened enough, that I can see it happening.
I don't call a few renders in 11 months "content". This VN has (had?) huge potential but I think the dev has just ran out of ideas. It wasn't much of a story in any event - barely started, let alone ready for a rushed ending! I used to support his Patreon but the excuses have gotten so pathetic I'm not going to support it.
Oh well. At least there's plenty more content out there that is worth supporting.
I have to admit the "hype" for the game is gone. I was looking forward for it, will probably still play (and also probably like) the update when it's finally available. But also we have now a game which started almost four years ago - and the story is imo still in the very early stage. A bit like "Halfway House" I actually also really like, but probably also never gets finished at that "speed"...
Anyway, it's the devs game and how he can handle the progress, so actually nothing to complain here since we get it for free, too. But it's still sad to see how this back then very promising game is now more becomming a shadow of itself.
I actually supported the dev's Patreon for a while. It's only 1 of 2 VN creator's i've ever backed. But a year between updates, with the last 2 having been pretty small, and then nearly a month of complete silence with no posts on Patreon at all... I couldn't do it any more. I understand having responsibilities outside of creating content, and having to care for his mom is a pretty legitimate excuse, but I can't justify supporting a content creator who isn't creating - no matter what the excuse. If he ever gets things cleared up, and content starts coming more regularly, I may support again. Until then, I'll still be watching this game closely, hoping for the best.

Even after they take a few renders and disappear for 11 months, they are defending it, what would it be nice if we made a game and disappeared for 1 year?..

I think this is the only porn game I've played where I actually liked the writing as if I was reading a book. The dialogue is seriously funny and well done. This person probably has a degree in english or professional writing experience. Good job Dev!

years go by. the game is the same at the beginning. I'm sure he'll soon say that he can't continue development just yet because a meteorite hit his house and then a space shuttle. peter molyneux would be proud of him
I think there were hints that CarbonBlue is a caregiver for someone elderly or disabled. If that's the case, then you can write off any future updates until that job is finished. Being a caregiver is extremely draining. If you're not doing it as part of a team, then you're digging yourself a hole of frustration and depression.
Don't try to take care of your parents by yourself folks. Get help.
As for this game? Same suggestion. Get help. Do the writing, and have someone else do the rendering or artwork or whatever. Tag team it, and come to some kind of arrangement with the patreon funds.
Or, just tell us what we already know, that this is over.

Update on the update: it'll be out in April or no more charges on Patreon until it's out.
Now back to the Irish chick. I've frequently had people ask me about the family background, so here you go:
Is the Kelly family Irish? They are American, descended from the Irish.
What kind of accent do they have? Midwestern, or what is essentially no distinct territorial accent.
Where do they live? Technically I guess it's New York because there's at least one New York license plate and because there's a subway. But those aren't important to the story. You can consider them to be in any place in the country. That way we don't have to worry about any regional quirks they might have!
Things are going better now as I'm getting some more time to update the game. Just giving me those 6 hours a week was like a dream, and now this week my brother is going to take care of my mother so I'm gonna bury my head into Unleashed and not come out until I need food or water.

Since Carbon wants everyone to know were they are from he will make a 400 render update where Kelly and the MC spend all day in the library tracking her family tree. There will be some lewd hand holding and sitting next to each other. When they leave the library, 50 of those 400 renders will be of the librarian thinking they are a cute couple.
In 2024 it'll be the jeans update. That update will consist of 400 renders showing where Maeve takes the MC to show him where she buys her jeans.
