So I quite enjoy this game. Does anyone have any recommendations for other good adult Twine (i.e. html) games? I'm looking for male protagonist (without gender transitioning) and ideally with some fun kinks like cumflation or whatever. Oh and importantly it has to be decently straightforward, i.e. linear or not too many branches, and easy and obvious how to progress, like Wasteland Lewdness. I'm looking at some of the popular ones on this website but a lot of them are sprawling and I want something more focused, and anyway I'd like to hear your personal opinions. Thanks in advance <3

I don't know that you'll find many (finished) Twine games that don't tend to sprawl or include tons of branches. I personally enjoy Degrees of Lewdity, but it has lots of branching content, and the art/imagery is not to everyone's tastes. You could reasonably expect about Wasteland Lewdness' amount of content in many of the main branches though, and can just choose to only engage with a specific branch each character you create.

If you're willing to expand your options to lightweight java games I can also recommend Trials in Tainted Space, and Corruption of Champions 2. They do have body morph/gender transitioning, but it is entirely optional. Both games also feature a huge amount of fleshed out paths that can be taken mostly independently if you want.

Yeah I tried Degrees of Lewdity and didn't enjoy it, too much focus on the player being on the receiving of noncon. I play TiTS and enjoy it, but it gets a bit tiring to get through because it's so overwhelming horny with no breaks (so hard to keep playing for an extended period...) and often there will just be massive walls of text. Same problem with CoC; I only played CoC 2 for a little before getting frustrated with the exploration, and turns out I actually enjoy CoC 1 more. Haven't finished it because again so horny without breaks.

I also generally prefer CoC1 more, although I find it slightly harder to navigate the game itself due to the lack of decent wikis, and feel that I miss out on a lot because I never know when an area is finished.

Maybe try Girl Life? It's a different engine entirely (QSP), but it has generally less constant horniness (i.e., you have to put in some degree of effort to get different paths). It also has many mods that can be added to suit your tastes, but lacks a clear sense of progression due to the grounded nature of the game.

Lustful Desires is also be pretty decent, but as the name implies there is a heavy focus on sexual encounters, although there are generally ways around it. The unfortunate (at least in your case) truth is that most porn games will feature their porn sections very heavily, as that's the main draw to them from a market standpoint. It has a developed progression to it though (area to area), and if you like the art style there's plenty of it.

Thanks, I'll look into them. I do enjoy super-horny adult games but can only play them in short sessions for an obvious reason. That's why I mostly play AVNs, because (in the good ones) there's a slow build-up to a sex scene, then it happens, then a come-down less horny period afterwards, so you can keep playing.

Local saves seems to be broken with this build, it gives a message about web storage API being unavailable and only allows for saving to disk. Anyone else having this issue?

If you use google chrome (probably possible in all browsers, but i've only used google chrome) you can open the console (press f12 when ur in the game) and paste: SugarCube.State.variables and press enter. That gives you all the variables, so you can adjust stats, money etc. Not sure if that's what you're after.

I’m actually playing Version: 0.45.2 from Itch.io at this time.

I reported an issue to the Dev and they acknowledged it as a bug but just wondering now how often updates come out for this game?

It's a shame that no, even extremely rudimentary "a bit of HP, some damage and a perk every now and then", system for leveling up was implemented. IIRC, pacing is much more brisk after you slog through Nogas (but not completely devoid of 'rest and go killing' bits), but starting fresh it really feels like I'm stuck in a loop of exterminating local wolf population for a refill of canteen and some spare change. Sure, there's a quick alternative to that, but it sucks for a character that wouldn't want to get themselves involved with... that. And don't get me wrong, it wouldn't magically fix it, but at least it would feel like I'm building up for something rather than just scrounging some gunpowder together.

Actually, you can knock Nogas out on the first day there, if you’re willing to save scum one small thing.

Rescue the dog from the forest and make him your companion. Immediately use its ability to go and retrieve an item in its menu options. Keep resetting until it retrieves a Victory Beer. Befriend Charlotte and help her find her missing necklace and then go see her again to be gifted a necklace of your own and equip it. If you left your Charisma stat at 5 when creating your character, between Charlotte’s gifted necklace and consuming the Victory Beer, your Charisma will now be at 7 which is high enough to haggle Johnny down to 100g for the guns that Frank requests you retrieve from him. Frank even gives you the 100g to boot so it’s not as if you need to go and earn that money yourself either.
