What a disappointment this bum-rushed ending is:FacePalm: That's all I've got to say about the game. Was good till about 2/3rds into it, and then it dropped off a cliff, and ended on what's basically a hanger.:HideThePain:

So either you try to resist like most would do, and get the "bad end", or you take it like a bitch, and get the "good one", with both being nonsensical. This was already a problem with Spaced Out, but with the whole game being linear as it is, it's an even bigger one here. Sex is important, but if it takes priority over story of a sci-fi themed game, that's a problem.
Um, It's a porn game. I don't know if you lost your way, but you're in a porn game forum. Where 100% of the games revolve around sex and the plot is just basically a clever way of getting there.

Well if any of you paid for the patreon, you got scammed, the dev insulted everyone of you with this endings...

Rushed just cause he wanted to work on another project instead of putting this on hold to give us a better ending, a fitting ending that this game deserves...

Instead he just got impatient and made that bullshit update...

Either that, or this was one of a hell joke update and we will receive something in the future, but I'm glad I normally don't pay patreon unless the dev REALLY deserves it or I truly enjoyed the completed game

After being burned on the first game "Spaced Out," I wanted to wait and see and never touched this game before since I wanted to see if it would go the same route or not.

Looking at the comments..... I'm glad I never touched it.... it's the same thing with Spaced Out...... was good, obvious the dev got tired of the game, rushed it out for the new game... and now it's starting over it seems

I've avoided this one for quite awhile (basically not touching it since damn near release) and i remember it being very confusing and unrewarding at the time. While scrolling through completed games i see that apparently its finished? Just curious if after all this time its worth replaying again. Previous comments say that the ending is terrible but thats okay, i'm in it for the models not the story.

I looked at the reviews and they seem to be mixed as well, not really helping me come to an answer. Thanks in advance!

It's absolutely amazing for the first 2/3rds or so. It's when ya get to the final stage where it nose dives.

Exactly the same here, only that I discovered Spaced Out earlier this year so I just had to wait for several months until this was completed. I'll pass.

Wow, that's a big no in all categories. These are visual novels, with sex in them. Adult Novels. There is a clear difference between the Porn Games and the Story games. If you can't tell the difference, don't act like you know what you're talking about.

Thanks!

Here is a post I shared a couple of months ago on Patreon when I started working on "Island 34":

You could also read a bit more about the game in this public post on Patreon:

Well Island 34 looks interesting as fuck. Good luck with the game.

Just play the game until you get to the underwater base part

Ranger Do you imagine that this was in some way a satisfying ending for anyone?
'Anyone'? Sure. 'Everyone'? No. I haven't had a single negative comment on my Patreon about the ending of the game (yet), so I imagine that the people that chose to actually fund the development of the game find the endings at least somewhat satisfying. As for the people here... out of 14 500 people that are online right now, some will find it satisfying, some will not. People are different, they enjoy different things so some will like it and some will not.

As for complaints about the game taking directions from patreons about the story - this was NEVER the case. The story was mapped out (almost) from the start of the game and all the polls were about WHO rather than WHAT you want to see in the next version. There was only one poll that had impact on the path the story took how to get to the underwater station and the question was 'do you think you should get rid of Evelyn?', so my patreons didn't even know it was consequential to the story.

It's more the "sudden" style of the ending that I disliked. It was just over, no shown consequences, no epilogue. Just either Amelia goes poof or Megan wins, "The End". You left what happened to the other characters completely unanswered, the end screen is a black screen with white words and being able to access the gallery.

It just feels so... blank. There's no conclusion, no resolution. It's just a let down. Your new game doesn't seem to have anything to do with the same universe, so again, I just feel after 2 games of story that abrupt ending is extremely lacking in substance. There should be some kind of epilogue, that's what I feel.

As I've mentioned a couple of times already - there will be an epilogue. As with any update of any software, you release what you have. Holding releases and waiting for the next thing to be done means you'll never release anything. Once I release the first version of "Island 34", I'll go back to WW and do the epilogues for both endings, but doing it now means there is no chance I'll be ready with I34 v.0.1 by the end of the month. I'm working alone on my game on my own time since what I get through Patreon barely covers the development, so I can't afford to quit my job and dedicate 8 hours a day on this. 50 animations and 50 images is pretty much the limit for the content I can produce for a couple of weeks.
