It's all great and such to add new animations, but they really have to start making it into a game, this doesn't lead anywhere. What it's going to be in a couple years? "We have thousand sex animations but we have to yet create first quest,"? If they actually made an effort to make a game it could be damn big, but no. They probably have one programmer, couple animators but no writers, level designers or game designers. Just add some simple shooting mechanisms or such, add a kill 10 reptiles, get your cock sucked as a reward quest or something as a start, I don't know. Something, anything.

I don't think you understand how this works.... the game is in develoment, as in they are currently making the game, which costs money, they've been consistently releasing updates on their progress and are also releasing early stage version of the game, which so far has been a pretty incredible sandbox editor for custom creations as well as some main story-gameplay testing varieties. If all you want is the full complete game then I'm afraid you're gunna have to wait a while, feel free to unsubscribe from their patreon which you are clearly paying for and just wait till it's all done.
progress updates with barely any significant changes or worse, downgrades from previous builds. 6 years is too long of a development cycle even for a mainstream AAA game. If games like Stardew Valley and Minecraft can be made from scratch by just one person in 3-4 years. Then a studio with their own team using premade UE assets has no excuse.

Any idea how to solve this error? Happens when trying to enter the sandbox

See the previous post bellow, use discord to search for possible fixes but dont get your hopes up

Well the main difference is that while the ue4 version is outdated it is still playable. Unfortunately the ue5 version will give you the famously feared "infinite loading screen" symptom caused by the "lowlevelfatalerror actual code.num(),nullptr,shader->resource.getinitreference()) failed" error message. Several fixes were suggested to remediate for the problem (type lowlevelfatalerror on wildlife discord), despite some successes among users the error message still plagues most of low gpu level computers (even brand like Alienware cant run the ue5 version lol).

Not nearly enough for the $100k/mo they're raking in.
This is and will continue to be the problem with Patreon model for gave development, why rush when you have absolutely no reason to? They are making enough money from subscribers and continue to gain more with no promise as to release windows, so all devs who make good money on there always come to the realisation that there is zero reason to rush and if anything every reason to delay.

Mainstream AAA games have thousands of people working on them though. Stardew Valley and Minecraft are also far simpler games than this one, not really a fair comparison.

I think the opposite way, I think that you don't get it.

My way of thinking is really simple, and it goes like this: First release of the game + How many funds it gets + How many years have passed = What you finally have at the moment.

And from that equation you can really tell that after all those years you still have some bare bones product, barely a game. Still, it's just a nice animation viewer on huge empty ugly map with horrible performance after another "big change". It is nowhere near something that was advertised many years ago and if you actually have a properly functioning brain - you should know that they are just dragging development, because in the end - it's all about money. They don't fucking care about you. You're just their money machine, like others not the sharpest tools in the shed. Easiest money to grab from? From horny, addicted kids and teenagers. Or older nerds.

To be clear - I don't care about people who's paying them. I don't care about yours and others money. You have right to do whatever you want. Just don't throw at me some silly and pathetic pre-recorded excuses like as if it were some kind of a cult's mantra.

And yes, I'm not paying on Patreon.
I'm trying to spend my money wisely. I don't let my horniness clouds my judgement. I'm ready to pay much more for a product that is completed and with a belief that Devs not fucked me over and over.

In the end, people are funny beings. For them, you can either speak well about something or either not speak at all.

So much butthurt coming from someone's short opinion. That's laughable.

PS. Hey guys, don't sweat it. It's just a porno game which you are playing alone, hiding it from your's parents, sibilings or you partners sight. Not a big deal. :D

Or maybe the people who are supporting it are fine with the progress that is being made, that's why the continue to support it. The devs themselves have been quite transparent and are releasing reports every week on what they are working on and afaik the estimated release date is end of 2024. Until now they have been working on the sandbox (which you may not care about, but many people do) and have just started working on the main story

Everybody being like "Why does the game look like this, it's terrible!" needs to look at leaked betas of games that were mere months away from shipping or even those without the Day 0 patch installed. And i'm talking about all kinds of games, from FPSes to open world ones

To claim Stardew & Minecraft are simple games gives me the impression you probably never played them before. Don't judge a book by its cover. The point is, these games were built from scratch by 1 person, the creator didn't use any pre-made assets nor artwork. Not to mention they coded the entire game on their own. And still managed to release the game in less than 5 years.

Wild Life on the other hand has a team of more than 10 people who are clearly using pre-made UE assets not just because its made using Unreal Engine but because it looks like a Fortnite custom map. So by that logic their game should technically finish development or at least reach v1.0 by now. And yet it has been in development for 6 years.

Not a fair comparison? Fine, then heres another example: Bright Memory Infinite, a gorgeous FPS shooter made using the same engine as Wild Life and was again made by just 1 person in his spare time. The game finished development in 3 years.

I standby my statement that Wild Life has no excuse for their overly long development cycle
