To claim Stardew & Minecraft are simple games gives me the impression you probably never played them before. Don't judge a book by its cover. The point is, these games were built from scratch by 1 person, the creator didn't use any pre-made assets nor artwork. Not to mention they coded the entire game on their own. And still managed to release the game in less than 5 years.

Wild Life on the other hand has a team of more than 10 people who are clearly using pre-made UE assets not just because its made using Unreal Engine but because it looks like a Fortnite custom map. So by that logic their game should technically finish development or at least reach v1.0 by now. And yet it has been in development for 6 years.

Not a fair comparison? Fine, then heres another example: Bright Memory Infinite, a gorgeous FPS shooter made using the same engine as Wild Life and was again made by just 1 person in his spare time. The game finished development in 3 years.

I standby my statement that Wild Life has no excuse for their overly long development cycle
I've played both extensively, and I was of course referring to them as "simple" by a development complexity point of view. Working with 2D sprites and a small map (in the case of SV) is of course gonna take less time, knowhow and resources compared to a UE5 open world game. Minecraft is so different that you can't even really compare it to other games (not to mention that Mojang has now hundreds of employees and they still take ages to release simple updates).
Do you have any proof that they are using premade UE assets (legit question, I don't know)?

PS. Hey guys, don't sweat it. It's just a porno game which you are playing alone, hiding it from your's parents, sibilings or you partners sight. Not a big deal. :D
Are you playing it with an audience? Do you have your mom/sister/partner sit there with you customizing Maya's hair color and picking out which dude should plow her? Or the more likely case of using the things you are frustrated about to craft a purebred insult?

I mean you're clearly here for virtual tits same as the rest of us, so I don't get the point of that postscript.

All my textures seem really washed out, does anyone know what the issue might be? I've tried deleting the old folder of custom maps/skins etc that was made in the UE4 version and starting from a clean slate. But that seemingly wasnt the issue.
have the same problem lol

Well I would argue Mojang being slow on updates is more of a corporate decision from Microsoft but thats an entirely different argument for another day

Sure, heres a screenshot of Fortnite and a screenshot of Wild Life. Now tell me if at first glance these two don't look like the same game

I don't see reused assets, the vague similarities in terms of shaders and lighting can be attributed to the the fact that they use the same engine (that's why Source games look similar, for example)... can you point to specific assets you think they share?

And, by the way, since when use premade assets in a game is a crime ? The vast majority of development teams that don't have a really specific art direction for their game use them. Why should a guy wasting 4 hours to make a street lamp form scratch when u can buy one for few bucks ?

I mean, of course ur game shouldnt be a patchwork of differents paid or free assets form the UE Store but the simple idea of using premade assets is just... normal.

Can low spec graphic card laptop play this game
This game isn't really optimized well yet, you'd likely have to play on low settings and/or reduced resolution, if it runs at all on low end specs. I'm on mid-higher end specs(6700xt and 5600x, 32gb ram) and the game still has frame drops at 1440p unfortunately, and performance was worse in the recent $25 build(for me at least, might have improved with $10 build) so it would probably be rough on low end specs

I never said the game was a 1:1 copy of Fortnite. Firstly, because that would warrant a lawsuit from Epic Games and secondly, its Unreal Engine, they have thousands of assets available in their own store alone. But even you didn't deny both screenshots have at least some similarities.

And, by the way, since when use premade assets in a game is a crime ? The vast majority of development teams that don't have a really specific art direction for their game use them. Why should a guy wasting 4 hours to make a street lamp form scratch when u can buy one for few bucks ?

I never said it was a crime. UE is a free public engine after all. The point I've been trying to make here (and to ymrorrr) is that their game is not 100% originally built from scratch unlike previous examples I've mentioned, so its begs to question why are they taking so long to complete the game.

progress updates with barely any significant changes or worse, downgrades from previous builds. 6 years is too long of a development cycle even for a mainstream AAA game. If games like Stardew Valley and Minecraft can be made from scratch by just one person in 3-4 years. Then a studio with their own team using premade UE assets has no excuse.
I think the opposite way, I think that you don't get it.
I think you guys need to read the original comment I responded to because everything you said is kinda irrelevant to my comment.
Wild Life isn't a game yet. I'm not arguing over the quality of updates, I'm just stating that there are indeed updates, it's not ike the devs just up and ran away with the money. Thinking too much into it here my dudes. It's not that deep.

WildLife is not a game at this point, if anything it's a testing bed for what could be in the game, alongside a pretty decent sandbox editor alpha.
