I guess they should have all turned out for the vote then. This is what happens when people have the opportunity to vote and can't be bothered....they get to live with someone else choice.
I know it wasn't all (I don't remember the numbers, there's a screenshot here somewhere if you don't have Patreon access and are really interested), but it was the majority of voters.
Like I said; I'm not a Patreon, and I can find plenty of other games to pass the time with, so I am really not stressing it either way. I was just pointing out that this is what the majority of the actual supporters wanted.

I am a fan of this game thats why all these delays are annoying
And i do support the game on patreon
And yes i know his situation so dont come at me with the read the last pages and things
I am well aware of the dev his situation
But also aware that he had a ton of oppertunity to release the update or put out betas instead
Just saying he had situations all year long if it was not one thing it was another thing
And no one can deny that the dev said the update was ready almost for almost 2 months now
It was said multiple times on his news update
Sadly he never progresses from almost ready
Since he keeps doubting himself and keeps changing things over and over

The issue with doing Patron polls on this sort of thing is most Patrons will vote for whatever they think the devs preferred option is. I don't think I've ever saw a poll that went against what the developer implies, either directly or indirectly, they preferred.
I think BD may have not realized this, and decided to make a poll as an attempt to give himself an out and force him to post an update, so he can move past his mental block. And it backfired on him.

They are the ones keeping these authors coming, so yes, we have to respect their decisions even if we strongly disagree with them

If you're joking, it's not funny at all. Your comment shows what is going wrong in our society. The wrong people get criticized or lumped together with those who deserve criticism. Braindrop only deserves criticism for one thing, if at all, and that is with the release dates that he announces to us and then can't keep them, but imagine this mistake make 90 percent of developers. It was great behavior from him in the last few months pausing the pledges of his patreon supports for months, which he doesn't need to do, because other developers wouldn't do it and he tells us many things about his private life in his messages and he doesn't need to. In addition, a very close and important person in his life died, so you should reconsider your comment. And you have Master Yoda as your profile picture he would be disappointed in you.

Anyway, it's also fair criticism, imo. He makes 15 grand a month (On patreon) and when questioned why he doesn't hire people to help him... he says "Because i'm not a leader"

Well, i've been a patreon for 7 months... how about you??? I remember him saying the update was ready to be released at christmas 2021. Every 2 weeks he says it's going to be released and then has some excuse for the delay. Sorry if i don't believe it anymore. "boy who cried wolf"... type thing.
Maybe the boy is the wolf?? ya think? Or maybe you think money doesn't corrupt? haha

how long I've been a patreon has no bearing on this discussion, and I won't disclose that since it's not your bussines , fair to say I've been a patreon for a long time.
money has no bearing on your crappy attitude.
you chose to say those things.
dev has given no hints of being "corrupted" like you said.
He has more time than 99.99% of the devs out there paused payments.
that is not the behaviour of someone being corrupted by money but then again.. I can't expect people such as yourself to realize that.

I've been a Patreon for 1.5 years. If you don't believe what he says then why still hang around to complain? Just move on to something you like. And again you assume the amount of money someone makes corresponds to how their personal life impacts them. Whether or not some is corrupted by money is irrelevant to how their personal tragedies impact them, how is that so hard to understand or do you just want something to complain about?
