i believe hes talking about "city of broken dreamers" its one off the more popular AVN's on this site and got its final release update on here about 24 hours ago
Honestly, at this point I miss McKenzie. At least there were regular updates/notes of him talking to himself... Not just an excuse about not posting an excuse.

Went back and edited my positive review to a 1 star. Once upon a time I liked this game
So we're at the "The update is late, but also larger than planned" part of the cycle. Soon followed by said update being broken up into chunks, followed by a non-communicative phase due to being in a really bad headspace, soon followed by yet another revamp of his work flow, which he's really happy with and will allow him to *insert another self-imposed target that he will inevitably miss* leading nicely into a cycle of family visits turned into not quite tragic but really disruptive situations, leading into the timeless "The update is late but also larger than planned" section of our regular scheduled tomfoolery.

Added after initial reply: He hasn't stopped working on it, he just drags his feet (presumably) to milk supporters for money. Max money in for minimal effort out... And he has it dialed in pretty well tbf.

but yes Braindrop(the dev) has a trackrecord off being slow & inconsistent whit updates or even simple development progression news/updates

I remember waaaay back in the day when BD was consistent. That was a few years ago, when he was posting weekly medium sized updates at an unsustainable pace. Burnout was inevitable.

One thing that doesn't get talked about enough on here is the nonsense season-chapter-episode structure. What does that even mean??? Is there any discernable structure to this "story"? Is it just to make BD seem more organized and planning-ahead than he is?
