It would be great if Patreon stopped payments if users complained that the creator stops fulfilling promises for a certain amount of time, of course first checking that it is real and not just some haters trying to harm the developer... but well, they won't do it either, in the end they take a commission from all the creators haha

Doesn´t want to release something that was sub par. Makes sense. (The game is a shitshow for 2+ years now with mixing storylines and lot of plot holes. )

Says that he knows that this isn´t a good update. (No shit. The last good update was before the first pool party. Everything after that was just a fever dream)

Blames IRL issues (Again... He just can´t catch a break  :ROFLMAO: )

Says it has pacing issues because it focusses on side chicks and not enough meaningful things take place.
(huh... Who would´ve thought that it might be an issue if the story of a basketball star just focusses on MC fucking 100 different chicks that fall on his dick the moment they meet him)

A lot of yada yada blaming himself and bathing in self pity

Doesn´t know what to do, wants to get back in touch with what made this a good game
(Solution: Either kill off 90% of the cast and focus on the story OR just abandon this shitshow and start something new in order to milk your subscribers some more)

100% his fault but isn´t trying to use this as excuse after writing half a book and trying to gather sympathy points

Switched his story about pausing/unpausing his pledges and release dates so often that everyone is just confused about what´s going to happen.

Conclusion: Still a shitty Human, still a scammer, still a liar, still milking, still making up excuses.... Just abandon it... pls. do yourself a favor. Start fresh with a new fanbase. You burned your current fanbase so often with all your lies, it´s not even funny anymore. There is nothing to salvage. But you would never do that, would you? Cuz getting all the money for doing jackshit is just way too tempting

What's funny is that they are only now realizing this, claiming that it's been half a year when in reality, this has been going on since 2020, where at first, most of us believed him, and it may very well have been true at first. But after years of him essentially ALWAYS having "problems" come up when he's supposed to be releasing an update is just proof he's full of it.
Better late than never, now what is missing is more than 350 of BD's supporters to cancell their pledges on his patreon that will show him that people are tired of excuses

But wasn't the S1 rework first announced, because the pacing was bad? Thus 10 or so days became a month... then he did 2-3 "normal" days, at least for the pacing, and now he notices that the pacing is bad....

So, after E14 or 15 (in 1-2 years, perhaps?) it will be S2 rework, and another handful of unknown characters just saying hi? :D

It's kind of genius, right?

Instead of starting anew, he just goes 'forget S1 you just played, in my head it happened differently', effectively starting a new game midway with S2 (completely ignoring there is nothing there signifying an S1 or S2, other than S2 is not part of the supposed rework, aka Game 2).

He could pull the same again, doing a new game, I mean S3, just telling people S1+2 aren't canon anymore, because they are different in his head. So we get an S3, which is basically a new game starting around 50+X% in, with no one having a clue about anything.

It's genius really, he gets money for developing a game in his head and then showing select scenes based on that without explanation.

If some of what he's saying is true (and I think at least some of it is, at least in spirit), shit's even more funny than I thought because apparently he thought he was writing great dialog and storylines and drama before? :ROFLMAO: the delulu is real o_O let's be honest my man, maybe we kind of liked the characters and their relationships in the beginning but no one (I would hope) was ever here for the great poetry of this fuck-fest

Going with the idea that he started out legit (which I think as well), I guess it is more like that he wanted to have more than porn plot and have a real overarching story - which was kind of true until the bowling alley event, even with the whole thing going downhill there already.

But he kept adding side chicks - be it to cover he wasn't able to create that overarching story like he wanted, or because he really wanted to have that many LIs.

So in the end, even if he had an idea of how to continue the story, the sheer size of the pool of LIs prevents him (and would anyone if no LI is to be dropped I guess) going anywhere with it now.

From that angle it makes sense he lost his drive - he can't continue the game he wanted to do, but he also doesn't want to lose his income.
And doing a whole new game now is a risk to the latter.

Back in the day there were many debates about the story/characters. Not to say it was great, but interesting enough to talk about.

Flash forward to today, and all of that is gone. Mainly due to the game having about 35 characters too many. If he actually is trying to write a semi-serious story, having that many characters is a nightmare. Eventually they all blend together and we (and I'm sure BD as well) can't even tell them apart anymore. Probably why he began naming them after colors and other random things.

On the topic of reworks, he shouldn't rework the start. He should revert back to when the cast was only like 10-15 LI's and start from there again. Pretend everything past that was a fever dream that didn't actually happen.

Can't put my finger on exactly where (too long I played WVM), but before the bowling alley event or a couple of updates before that would be where I would revert to if I wanted to get this on track again.

I was on board with his first assessment though, that the whole start was way too cramped, and stretching out everything to that point might be a good thing - if only so that if continued with that slower pace, there was no break in the overall pace.
So I was in favor of the remake when it was announced and am not sure if there really is a good point to revert to based on that.
At least if we aren't talking to revert to the very beginning which would basically be that remake ...

And with your other comment included to this, with the too many LIs, he could even go inception with the "resets".
Too many LIs? It was just a dream... Then he goes on with his happy-go-lucky theme, starts to fck everything that moves again, he notices that it is really similar to the dream he had.... and then wakes up again, weirded out that he dreamt that, swears it wont happen, and starts again.
It could even be somewhat interesting, if written right.

he's now moved on to negging everyone so that when he does eventually release something they'll heap praise on him
Nice to see he's moved on to from the BS about the game not compiling excuse he's used since missing the August 10th deadline.

Oh, wait, never mind. He's gone back to the "not being happy with the writing" excuse he used from February to August.
