anyone know how you get a new thread set up for a game?

now that the new game is out, it just doesn't feel right posting teasers and stuff in this thread anymore.

kinda feels like it needs its own.
That's a good idea. Once you have an actual thread for Love, Lust & Lunacy, you might want to post a link in this thread to point to your game's thread over there. I would also recommend adding a link in your signature for the thread as well as requesting signature images for it on the GFX Request Thread. You can then also add and link those images in your signature, like many of us here do for various games we support.

Despite its relative age and the tragic fact that this particular title is now abandoned, I am totally fresh to this title.

For what it's worth, regardless of any possible link to or continuation in "Love Lust and Lunacy", I absolutely LOVE "DAST" just the way it is. For my taste, it is excellently rendered, the story well reasoned, extremely well...impeccably actually...written and as a result totally enthralling.

I loved all of the girls and I have not enjoyed playing an mc as much as this one in a long, long time.

I haven't finished enjoying this title yet, but due to the fact that I've admittedly only experienced "DAST" through F95, I shall, in due course, at the very least subscribe to "Love, Lust and Lunacy" for a month or two to give back a little to this great Developer in return for the pleasure all of his/her imagination, effort and skill has given me here. It's the very least I can do. It's the very least that all of us here of a similar experience can do.

Everyone is, of course, entitled to their own choice and selfish or altruistic outlook, but, be this a creator's hobby or not, no-one should expect to enjoy the time and labor of others in return for no recompense. We would not for one moment willingly do so ourselves would we. If you enjoyed this, give a little back. Everyone who has the honest financial capacity...it's only the cost of a couple of beers after all...should be prepared to do so in return for the pleasure these creators willingly offer us.

If we all gave a little back then there'd be far more choice available and far, far fewer, I am sure, abandonments. Sure there are scummy milkers and scammers amngst developers out there, but I feel sure those numbers are more than equalled by the cynical freeloaders among us in here. No matter how cautious or prudent we may try to be, there's risk, especially nowadays financially, in every facet of our lives. That's absolutely no valid reason to intentionally freeload off the extremely hard work and often amazing creative skills and imagination of the so very many legitimate and sincere ASN developers.

The project is only semi-abandoned, another author has taken up the digital quill and is working on it under a new title which is Love, love and Lunacy. There isn't a whole lot there at the moment, but it is actively being worked on with the blessing of the original author.

No..it's not. This is dead...the new project has nothing to do with this at all...other than some character models. it is a completely new story.

This is probably a bit too much of a sweeping statement. While the new author is certainly putting a different spin on things, we currently have no idea how much of the original story remains, and that is assuming that Roman (the original author) had a full outline of the direction the story was to take, it is entirely possible that there were only some general story beats and they were going to wing the whole thing, modified by feedback.

<giant turd pile of "wisdom">
You might want to try reading a game's thread before dropping your "pearl of wisdom". There is a lot of history in this one as to what happened to it and why. Funding was not the issue.

Meep has said themselves they are writing a new story, a 'spiritual successor'....completely freewheeling currently (this was in Sept this year....so there is currently NO story...it's being made up as they go along). All that has survived is some characters.

I suggest you read more about that project and why this died before making your own statements. This is dead...not a broad statement, objective opinion...fact.

Meepish has gone radio silent on Patreon for about two months now, after previously doing weekly updates. The game thread for the new game is also rather dead. This is after a single bug fix update to the initial release. Not a good sign.

Hopefully things change in the next few weeks and the new game doesn't follow this one's trajectory.

Yeah wonder why devs would go radio silent... wonder why devs lose interest in finishing their games.. people from this community are too damn entitled, this is legit a PIRATE website and yet some have the gall to DEMAND things from the devs? nah.. if i ever were to make a game and people started trying to dictate whats and ifs, id do the same AND pull the game.

Did he mention this site at all? No, he said they had gone dead...on their own Patreon. You also realise many here also sub to many devs Patreons right?

Point still stands, people in this community tend to be entitled. also yes, they DID mention this website.

I really miss this game.

Some of the best dialogue written. And hot scenarios!
Preach! In a sea of bland, cookie-cutter games, DAST really knew how to distinguish itself from the crowd. The writing was absolutely top notch, and that's something I wish other authors strived for. Porn is fun, but it's not enough by itself, it needs a captivating hook: DAST had it, and then some.
Maybe the narration was somewhat unfocused: you had the corporate drama, the familial shenanigans, and the crime story running at the same time. But at the very least it showed a lot of promise, something I personally cannot see in the "spiritual successor".
I hope some other author will draw inspiration from what DAST did. Its current, and unfortunately final, iteration is still a testament to how an adult game can elevate itself and shine.

You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.
You could always just seperate the themes and focus on one thing/game at a time if things get too big or people suddenly jump ship for one reason or another.
I feel like it would be no problem if the dev would do that, because the quality is definitely there.
