VN Ren'Py Completed Haley's Story [v1.1 Pre-Patched] [Viitgames]

The story IS Haley was the victim of statutory rape. The next several (yes several) updates will be about her coming to terms with that fact. Hopefully it just happened once, but I don't know.

It seems to me that whenever a developer has a story that has a slow building relationship like this one, they don't know what to do next once the characters actually have sex. It's like, now what? Either the story turns into wake up and have sex, go somewhere and have sex, come home and have sex, repeat; or they introduce some drama which never seems to work. I can't say anything good about this update. I know that Ptolemy was on vacation when it came out. Perhaps it was just put together in a hurry to meet the self imposed deadline and did not get the kind of attention that the updates normally get. The quality is just not the same as other updates even if you take the Klaus confession out of it. Even from the beginning, Mom calls to make sure the kids are coming and as soon as the kids arrive, the parents leave to go out with friends (I just mention that one because I don't think anyone else has pointed that out yet.)

The Klaus confession was cheap theatrics. The developers knew that this would get people riled up. If they had wanted real drama that could have had Mom reveal that she had cancer, or Dad could have had a heart attack. It would have added drama that was more relatable to the audience. It would have also allowed for an examination of the family dynamics that helped to form Haley's feelings for her brother. They could not kill Haley, they could not have Haley break up with MC; it would have ended the story. So I guess it's a small blessing that they chose this rather than have Haley raped in present day. I understand developers wanting to stretch their creative muscles. Steven Speilberg made Schindler's List. He did not, however, midway through Raiders of the Lost Ark turn it into Schindler's List. If these developers wanted a drama, make a drama. I liked the story the way it was as a romantic comedy. I don't see how the developers keep up the charming banter between MC and Haley while this story line continues. This story always made my day a little better when the update came out. The last update was the first time a felt worse. I think that the next updates are going to be a lot of feeling worse.

I discontinued my support of this project. At first I thought I might have been hasty, but not now. It's odd to me that when you go to any developers Patreon page that all they get are positive comments. Even after this update I was the only one to make a negative comment. Viitgames told me that he does not read the posts here. Perhaps that is why developers screw up their own stories. They just get constant positive comments on their Patreon pages. I wonder if some developer could make a good living by just modifying stories that have been ruined by the original creator. My emotions vary on Haley's Story. Sometimes I'm still a little angry and a little saddened that this story that I really did enjoy will never be the same. Sometimes I think it is unfair to expect so much from the two developers who seem to be just two ordinary guys with outside jobs and do this part time, they are after all not Steven Speilberg (and even Speilberg had quite a few clunkers.) Sometimes I just don't care. I guess what bothers me the most is when I come back to this discussion page and I read how this update has affected their fans.

As if an older guy can't possibly be attracted to a very young girl, or viceversa. It happens all the time. It doesn't mean you have to approve it from an ethical standpoint. That's beside the point. What matters is that it's plausible as an element of fiction.

I don't understand this wave of negative comments here. I thought it was an interesting twist, somewhat disturbing - which I guess is the point: adds an element of uncertainty to the relationship "I thought I knew everything about her, but clearly I didn't".

i feel you bro,same feelings im having. every time an update came out it made me feel happy,i was happy reading about the developing relationship of the twins it wasnt even about the fapping anymore the story was that good,now sadly its all gonna be cheap drama and the worst thing it is just like you said nothings gonna change cause the devs dont check to see if the fans like where the story goes anymore or not.what made them take this decision into turning such a perfect game into a total cheap drama is beyond my comprehension

The update was planned long in advance. It wasn't put together in a hurry, so it was a deliberate change of pace for better or worse. It's no suprise they are not reading comments here. Many devs don't care for the opinion of people who aren't funding the project. I actually expected after 0.55 patreon money to drop a bit, but it seems it generated enough buzz and they even gained some patreons.

Note the little details. Teacher 48 years old when incident happened. Not 25 (a young tutor), not 35 (a typical teacher) but 48 to make the cheap drama even more cheaper.
We all have been 15. We concidered 48 year old dudes to be grandpas at that age.

The best way to bring that case Into the story was by MC finding physical evidence. A diary or something. It would have save them from the after sex disqusion scene, that was character twisting and idiotic.

You mentioned ptolemy. I have played all his Games except dana. This was by far the best. There was no comparison in terms of dialoques and characters concistency with the rest. Just on a different level.
I wouldnt even have guessed He Is envolved in this by playing if it wasnt mentioned.

But for me Last update was 100% a ptolemy's game. Just watch the first time sex scene.
If it was a stand alone scene i believe it was great. But its there joined with the after sex disqusion scene.

Either it wont fit, either girl Is a virgin and wont enjoy it, either MC ejaculates prematurely, either MC gets bombarded with some amazing shit just after.

Developers should put their shit together and continue this game in the same way and with same the principals they made it great till now. With character consistency and meaningfull dialoques.

And not having your eye in this site Is a great mistake. Between haters and Fans you can always find constructive critisism and great points about your game in here.

Mate i havent proposed to rewrite it, or backtrack it, or the "just a dreams" solution.

Neither have said that this can be solved quickly As it never happened.

Neither i am in denial of what happened in Last update, like some Members that are preparing their dicks for the upcoming haley's MC fuckfest, that i am not seeing happening in next updates.

Not even bothered by the teacher haley incident but only at the way it was brought Into story.

Just proposing the dev to backtrack not the story but to the initial ways they developed it so far. Solid and beliavable story, great dialoques, consistent characters which Last update lacked.

I am already reading that dev plan to deal with this As a case of statutory rape. They also have haley backtracking (or the dev?) from being in a state of trance (or lowkey Joy) to a state of regret at next updates.

Not even having to backtrack on my opinion that the case was a statutory rape one, or that haley displayed i highly problematic and incosistent character in Last update(dev seems to plan backtracking also on that).

I love this game.

I would play it even without any sex scenes (and no, I'm not 16 ). The story is so well written and the characters are a 70% too (because you don't meet a girl a few days ago and fcik her silly).
MC and Haley are perfect (and I'm not only talking about the pictures and animations ). The side plots/characters are very good, too.

I just don't get it ...
You are ok with a love story including incest.
But a statutory rape gets you upset.
Both happens, Incest and statutory rape, in real live.

And if the MC can help her to deal with this, whats wrong with it?

If she realise and even halt/stop the relation with the MC ... It's fine for me.

I like a good story, so where would we go from here?
