It's different. It was blackmail, it was pretty much rape, the game doesn't even address it.Haha, "I haven't been cheating - I only had sex once, with my ex!"

It's a very stupid decision to take, though, and it would be understandable that Megan would consider it cheating. The MC makes this decision without consulting her and I find it unlikely Megan would want you to take that deal, if she was asked. There's not even any reason to believe Ana would keep her end of the bargain. It's in fact much more likely that she would use you having sex with her to break you and Megan up, given her motives. It's different. Those are definitely options I wish the game gave us. But what makes you say it's weak? It's a very stupid decision to take, though, and it would be understandable that Megan would consider it cheating. Like, it is rape, since there's coercion involved. But the coercion is so weak, that there's no reason to go through with it unless you want to. Which is probably the conclusion Megan comes to, should you choose that option.
As I said, there's no reason to trust Ana will follow through, and every reason to believe she wouldn't. She wants you to be with her, so either she'd extend the blackmail to "stay with me or I'll end Megan's career" or she'd tell Megan you cheated on her. The former would be far more effective blackmail, actually, since then Ana does have motive to leave Megan's career alone - keeping you around. Those are definitely options I wish the game gave us. It would be a completely different situation in the real world, but VN logic is entirely different. These kind of moments don't often give you second chances. In any case, it wasn't programmed as you assumed. She leaves her career alone and doesn't contact you again. As I said, there's no reason to trust Ana will follow through, and every reason to believe she wouldn't. The only thing you get out of sleeping with Ana is... sleeping with Ana, if that's what you want. There's no reasonable expectation that you'd get anything else out of it.
The last part of the game was rushed(ahem Rena, but if you do want a reason, Megan was cheated on b4. It's a sore point fore her, and while she is usually a pretty understanding(or at the very least gives ppl a chance to explain), and resilient person, she's also shown to be pretty sensitive. Could definitely see her just not really even wanting to talk about it, because she feels no matter what it would still hurt too much. That's interesting, you would think that would have been a bigger discussion. She did not even know who Ana was, that she was the casting agent, or why you did it. I don't know the details, but it felt as though the last chapter was very rushed. There was definitely a lot more that could have been done with that story, like a resolution for all of the characters, for instance.
That was defintely wierd. It's like the dev realized the Rena story was so poorly done, that it wouldn' make much sense for Jonah to choose her that they just decided to write that into the story, to maintain at least some consistency. It still felt obnoxious because she's never really presented as a problematic choice, like say Ana.I just wanted the MC to be with Rena without feeling like a piece of shit lmao.
To be honest, I enjoy playing some of the VNs in here so much mainly because of how interested I get in the story they are telling me and the characters that they introduce to me. Romance is the theme I like the most in these games. The sex part is secondary to me; I must be getting really old.Actually, I must ask, is there VN's like this, but written by western developers, and doesn't have sexual content? I came to realise why I love these games, it's like the goosebumps choose your adventure books when we were kids, but as adults. Furthermore, it's more character focused, and isn't troupey uwu like its Japanese counterpart.
I find it hard to fap to the sex scenes. With these novels, there's just too many things stopping it. Either it takes too long to get sex scenes in between each one, or there's too many emotional moments. Alot of these highly suggested ones are simply better when I just skip past the sex lol.To be honest, I enjoy playing some of the VNs in here so much mainly because of how interested I get in the story they are telling me and the characters that they introduce to me. In regards to your question, I do not know of any VN that meets your criteria. But my guess is that there must be VNs like that. Perhaps some other member of this forum can help you further.
I just played through Amatsutsumi, and it was one of the better stories I've seen lately. It is a bit tropey (some typical high school stuff), but the different love interests are all pretty deep, unique, and well developed imo. Death features prominently in all the stories, but I would say AL was still more emotionally taxing anyway.Edit: Actually, I must ask, is there VN's like this, but written by western developers, and doesn't have sexual content? Prety much, it's a great concept but the execution was poor. Imo opinion the girls should have been seperated and the choice would have simply been who to save first. It would still have the same impact, but now make actual sense Some player would have still been angry because the choice wasn't "obvious" but sometimes you have to take the risk of pissing ppl off with choices in games. This game obviously evokes strong emotions in those who play it, and I'm no exception. I both loved it and hated it. The renders are absolutely top-notch, and the writing is excellent (I've played too many games where the grammar and syntax is almost unreadable, and the "plot" is virtually nonexistent).
I was generally good with the dark undertones that ran throughout the plot, but I really didn't like the "'Kobayashi Maru' moment" and its aftermath (if I had the requisite Ren'Py coding skills, I might even consider applying the "Kirk solution" to my downloaded copy of the game). As others have said, it seems somewhat contrived, as the MC appears to be at least moderately buff, and M&M are fairly petite; consequently, it seems reasonable to believe that desperation and adrenaline would prompt the MC to pick up both and carry them over each of his shoulders, or at very least to drag them both simultaneously.
Making the player face a choice with dire consequences, and those consequences, is a powerful emotional hook, but IMO it diminishes the satisfaction from playing the game. Please note that this post is less of a criticism and more of an honest expression of how I felt about my game experience.
It's a cropped version of a Merry Christmas 2019 render.Dunno if old but here's DPC profil banner on Discord
Have you tried Leap of Fate?Okay creator fuck you, this game was an emotional rollercoaster and it had moments that made me laugh, feel happy, angry, and hell even cry sometimes, and some of the situations hit a little close time home (might want to put a warning of that in the beginning of the game), this is a damn good story and I did not expect a lot of what happened, so yes I'm still saying fuck you but damn did you make an amazing story for this game, its like they say the most hated villains' make the best villains', so keep up making amazing stories that destroy peoples emotions, cause just wow.
