Ahh...I still remember stopping my support some time in 2019 because they announced that they would cease their development of Roundscape (the game I supported them for), to focus entirely on Arenus.
In General, it is unlikely that the game will be released at the time that Kal voiced, since he wrote that this month and this is most likely somewhere the end, as it usually happens. Which is to be expected.

Due to the fact that he has been changing the release date for 4 years and several times every year, he does not have the best reputation in this regard. I'm not criticizing the fact that the development is taking a very long time, but he should better avoid giving specific dates unless he is 100% sure that he will be able to do it. Otherwise, he stirre up a lot of bad blood between the fans. Personally, I've been following the development with excitement, but all my hype is long gone as Kal keeps changing the release date.

You may joke, but I wouldn't put it past Kaliyo to just re-release the demo with a changed version number...

At this point I expect three possible outcomes:
- game gets cancelled (very unlikely but you never know)
- game comes out at some point with all the content promised but is heavily bugged (very likely)
- content had to be sacrificed and the so called "replay value" is very shallow (also very likely)

Actually, I'd say that it will exactly meet the hype.I'd say whatever happens the product will not meet the hype.
How much enthusiasm can people have in him after 4 years of delaying?
Instead of discussions like:
"I can't wait for it to come out! It's going to be great!"
We have discussions like:
"I bet it won't come out at all... And even if it does, it won't be good."
This proves that the Kal has almost lost the fans' trust.
You cannot sustain a successful business if people do not trust that you can create a quality product and deliver it on time.
For example, my trust in him is really hanging on the last straw. If he really manages to release a game tomorrow, I'm not saying that my confidence will be back to 100%, but at least I won't think that he's totally incompetent in terms of organization and should leave the position of lead developer to someone else.
Actually he literally said the last thing he needs to do to finish the game is to put an anti-piracy protection, which he said like 3-4 days ago. Same thing was a year before, oh how ironic of him

Oh boy, this will surely improve the product. No one will ever find a way to bypass that protection.
Just to add a few more variations, with how possible these can be.
4. The game is already finished, yet Kal dosen't push it out, because still earn over 11000 USD a month. Also Kal working secretly on a new project conveniently called "Roundscape 2" (Almost certain)
5. The Patreon page is a decoy to laundry money. (Unlikely)
6. The game is never meant to finish! Prepare Roundscape 2 will be made earlier than Arenus. (Probably)
