Unlocked
2020 Girl of the Year Special and January Devlog
pics(4k): Let's burn that 2020 and let's eat
In the past 25 days I'm being having a little adventure becoming a better coder, Need Calls. Was unexpected and has delayed 2 weeks the release of 0.19, but is finishing now.
Summary:
-0.19 almost ready
-0.20 scenes keeps been rendered!
-Lots of important fixes to performance and playability done (Vram fixes and Videos)
In-depth:
1. All the technical work is finished for 0.19
2. All crashes or black screens going between Hartlepool and Pirate Cove dissapears on low end graphics cards:

-The Pirate Cove has an 80% Vram consumption reduction, Meanwhile scenes 90% and Hartlepool just maybe 20%. I'll call it a day for fixing many problems users had with the size the game had by 0.15. Hartlepool still needs trimming but see 3.
3. Vram fixes will continue as I focus only on 0.20
In the way to make 0.20 I'll keep trimming that vram consumption; I don't want to postpone more 0.19 specially because is a little release. As probably said before, goal is to make all the game run better (or run) in old computers.
4. Other Engine Changes:
-I started putting the animations in the game in Video format (I'm not yet an specialist on After Effects but I'm working on it). Quality wise doesn't change anything in the game; Just changes my workflow, but most importantly a very lower consumption on Vram via animations. (also will start making the game less hard drive consuming. Video ups CPU usage but was low to start with.

-Not only I learned to use Addressables (a system that is also used for making DLC in order to cut the game in more halves (that now only works internally to load and unload textures from Vram), but that will be useful too if I want to release additional pieces of optional content.
-The conversion from Unity Animated animatios to Video will be a very long travel, as I put all new animations in video and I convert previous long animations to video. That means some of the worst previous animations will have a nice remake with audio included.
-As you know I'm starting to make the final looks of all the UI.
0.19 will show the general new workflow but All the Vram fixing haven't let me time to incorporate things I wanted (the working Camp system and a sneak peak on the new Romance Menu)
5. Other Good News:
-I've been informed that next update of the engine I use to save/load games, will load games faster (but will be still more slow for those with low graphic cards until I fix most of the Vram issues). This is an important change on the engine so I've been told is Beta Tested profusely.
6. Some days to code the rest of 0.19 scenes while I keep working on 0.20:
-Same as happened with the 0.13x small release half year ago, this is a very small release and most work has been technical, but a very needed one; Testing will be extensive -or intensive, depends on the testers ;)- before is released to public.
-During the periods that I could afford it (Learning After Effects and coding the vram fixes) I've been rendering more scenes for 0.20 and I'll have a good headstart. Work doesn't stop!
I cannot wait to release this one, any problem detected and solved, and be full-time rendering that big release (As comprises Penkeht, Kaelkirk, and Gypsy Camp, and has quite a lot of content, maybe I'll divided it in two, I'll see...)
Very excited to put all my time on it. Next releases will automatically include the vram fixes so we're starting right this time.
So keep tuned in for soonish updates ;)

I like the game but I'm guessing that English isn't the first language of whoever is making the game, as there are a lot of grammar mistakes and phrases that don't make sense. It would benefit from someone going through the game to correct the errors before the final version.

Possible with better pc and more patreons helps in that . Proofread and translation. W/o lasted upgrades with the old pc , was not possible.

Today I went to review my Patreon.

I just cancelled/reduced some creators who 1) Months Overdue 2)Only puts up a cruddy picture once every two months. Some are getting over $500/month. One has 2000+ Patreons and didn't even offer a Christmas Special picture to patreons, has abandoned his main project, and nothing about the new project in months, it's ridiculous.

Seventh Vixen and his crew aren't making $500, they are putting up images every week to their patreons, and have delivered pretty much on schedule, and have been communicating once a week for months now.

Think about Seventh Vixen, folks.

Honestly, I think there are only a few devs on this site that deliver this level of quality, and on time while being honest, Seventh Vixen is definitely up there. I sub every now and then but I can't sub at all times, I think even if people do a $1 sub for a few months, although you'll only get previews/dev log, it's still a worthy tip for all the work they put in, doesn't hurt.

Thanks for your morale support guys, means a lot. Specially in months like this when half of the work jut goes to make the game work better instead of adding a lot of content... Is not easy at all making a big game on your own.

When is the latest update of this game coming out here? By what approximate date?
I'm afraid this update doesn't have barely any content (Less than 25minutes I guess, just some things). It supposed to be released weeks ago but I had a lot of work on the technical side for the game to work on older computers. Now is done and I'm just some days away of finishing the code.

Next update (0.20) is the good one.

End of January Devlog
pic(4k): from 0.20
In January 16 it made two full years since I modeled that fancy Surcoat levies and knights wore on Marvelous Designer, Painted Sir Patrik's armor on 3d Coat, and made his first render, starting tho, the creation of Battle for Luvia. A game that should have be ended by now 'cause it was originally conceived as County sized but in a pair of weeks evolved to Duchy sized, but we're here now, 1/3 of the way towards the finish line.
Let me get sentimental for once; One of the best things I've done in life, and that I want to keep doing, sharing with you the games I want to make.
1.The Devlog!
The good news:

Having a lot of fun finally bringing to life many scenes from Penketh, the Gypsy Camp and Kaelkirk that I wanted to make for a very long time! (0.20)
The not-new news:
Coding (0.19) goes a bit slow but I fixed the broken code from the updates. Just a minor graphic glitch to fix and some fun-times scenes (including Around 15 animations) to code well before I release this little one. As this a little release, after is gone out of Beta Testing I'll release it directly to all patrons, just as I did with the other little technical release 0.13x.
Computer incoming:
As soon as possible, I plan to drop this old and slow i5-6500 with a broken ram slot that only allows me to have 48gb of ram (circumstance that doesn't let me work in a big scene at the same time while work on more stuff...). Even Unity is starting to lag with that CPU due to the sizes of scenes and lots of code and dialogue. Not talking about having to wait 8 hours with the CPU at 100% just to make a backup of the game, or wait 20-30 minutes to load big Daz scenes.
The new computer (with 128gb of ram and a trillion CPU cores) will finally allow me to work with ease and without pain both in preparing scenes and coding with a lot of multitasking as I like it..
Of course as you know is quite steepy (From 2000 to 3000 euros depending on specifics), just the basics (a good tower for all my Hard Drive and multiple graphic card needs, good ventilation, that sweet NASA CPU and that tasty RAM)).
I hope that with the February payout from Patreon I'll can get closer to those numbers, so I don't need to start cheaper, making the updating progress painfull, but in any case I just cannot keep working smoothly on such a big game with this computer so I hope it will be possible in less than two months. I want to keep those renders and those codings as big and fast as possible.
3.The Buy-A-Computer Special Commisions Offer!!
As some of you may know past month I activated the possibility of supporting the patreon annually instead of just monthly. In order to be able to purchase (sooner) the computer without taking much money from my Pay-the-bills earnings, I'll really appreciate if some of you upgrade your subscription to annually, even if is just the 1 or 3 or 10 bucks tiers (you can always upgrade to other tiers individually other months as you need);
Every little extra collaboration will help me giving me an edge buying the new computer faster (not having to go cheaper on stuff etc). (BTW, the annual memembership has a little discount). So In order to thank you for any annual membership in this moment of need I offer you in return the following:
As a thanks for anyone getting an annual patronage this month to help me, for any tier, willl also be rewarded with a Baron Tier Comission of their choosing to up to 3 characters and various renders of the same pose/scene! (nsfw, sfw, for sharing, for private use, etc :p) I hope some of you take the offer, I always love to make commissions :p (and they will be really faster to prepare and pose with the new computer)
4: Some Reminders
Specially for all the new patreons: You can still vote on the , and also send questions for the
With all the fuss no monthly girl this month, but I hope next month I can publish some special requests from you!
Have a good February! I'm going to take a good sleep and take a hell of a coding weekend ;)
