Been a while since I posted in here. I feel like the next episode (10) should be releasing fairly soon. I hope this episode fixes my major issues with the last one, namely revolving around the Zoey character. I remember the last episode (9) tried to shoehorn her into the main story but it didn't end up working for a variety of reasons. For one, she hardly reacts to any events that happen in 9. She obviously still has feelings for the MC but doesn't react at all to anything the MC does.
I also didn't like how Zoey emasculates the MC. Before she arrives the MC is a chad banging Hots and Sluts and everyone else, but once Zoey shows up he turns into a cuck. Wah Wah my ex-gf left me for some ugly tattoo artists, fuck my life!! Get over it bro, you're fucking girls that put Zoey to shame now. Why does the game automatically make the MC into a cuck bitch? No, fuck no.
As the MC I want the option to tell Zoey to fuck off, lmfao. Get out of my life! I don't want to cockblocking me here!
As a massive DIK enjoyer I have to disagree with you. Aside from fighting people (disaply of the inability to control your emtions) and ocassional inability to communicate I think that way of MC is the best take on masculinity this game offers. Wanna underline, not necessery in life, but in-game. And all of it is not tied to banging chicks.
That's the beauty of this character. Being able to be confident and assertive, knowing what he wants and not being ashamed of it (being heterosexual, having sex with girls you find attractive). Being fun to have around with everyone that is cool with MC and with girls, not always sexually. But when sex happens trying his hardest to please the girl and make her feel good (
oh she came, I can finally let go and focus on my pleasure).
And at the same time, being open with his emotions, apologising when neccesery and helping if needed. Write "utopia" into Google search, that's how world would look like if everyone was just as good at communicating as MC is. That's the beauty of masculinity, not banigng chicks and being alpha. It's about having those healthy manly traits while still being connected to your emotions and just being a decent human being.
And the fact he only cried with Zoey, boy that wasn't his cuck moment, that was precious and I'm a man moment.
She was in flashbacks, MC even tells Bella about her.
One way or the other, Zoey had and still has an effect over MC. Hell, she took his virginity.
Overall her interaction was alright in ep9. Things to note about Zoey in ep9:
1. The "chad" MC invites her, she doesn't force herself into his life.
2. She is fine with everyone, she calls out Derek a bit for being an idiot, but she's right. She makes a bit fun of Josy, which is also on point due to her infatuation with MC is transparent at this point, route or no route.
3. I enjoyed the Interlude and the fact that it shapes her differently going forward.
So Zoey is alright. In your place I'd be more worried about the MC? He's more retard in every episode.
I mean, he has a DEAD mom. He finally has a chance to know her more with the diary, yet he reads it one page per week. He's more retarded than Derek by now.
The "chad" MC is just a plot armored pussy at this point. Troy and Chad are more chads than him. I mean, ffs, MC chases pussy like a clown. Those 2 take dicks like real men.
MC's dad informed him that Zoey wanted to restore contact with him and he felt like they had unspoken things about what happened. If anything, inviting her to talk to each other about it and eventually end it on that was the most chad thing he could've done.
I don't think it's tactful how she just expresses what she thinks about everyone around her, like
yeah I've been gone from your life for over a year and we only started restoring the damage, btw your new best friend is an idiot but I think it fits her characters so that's alright.

With the diary he explained it. He fears pages are fly past just like that if he speeds up reading and he doesn't want that because that's the only real connection with his mother. No more sequels or anything. You can only play your favourite game first time once. I don't know if I would do the same thing but I understand the reasoning.

MC loved/loves Zoey. She is the first and they have been best friends for years. In his mind she takes up more space due to having shared life experiences with her. The other girls are new and easily forgotten at this point (remember, it has only been like a month since he started college versus two to three years of knowing her.). She didn't mistreat him or anything like that. The MC was just cowardly due to his age, and inexperience, to tell her how he felt. She only realised it after she left.
Zoey does not emasculate the MC at all. That is if you view masculinity by having sex with lots of women... Because you get to have sex with your chosen LI/Others when she is there anyway.
I thought more time has passed. Is there any school system where you have midterms one month into first year?
