Just a small guide, mostly for easily missable stuff, as well as fixes for bugs in attachments.
*Notes before starting*
First playtrough can be rough, especially if going for a "pure" run. There are NO benefits to doing a "pure" run.
Make sure to maintain multiple save files at different points in the game so as not to get locked out of buying items when you need them the most.
There is only one ending and the game is linear. Doing "bad" things does not effect the story.
Doing "bad" things is the only way to get all party members and the best gear in the game.
You need the Heart's Vessel to have 100 "bad" deeds or more collected to be able to get all the gear.
First mission:
dining room inside the castle -> talk to fairy -> eat
pizza on the table -> get permanent HP bonus (carries over to new game+).
potion shop keeper is racist towards humans, better show him your wings.
nuns have some "great" potions to sell, but only if you are human (hide those wings).
lose to shrooms -> go home to bedroom and change panties -> go to bar 2nd floor and sell to drunk.
shrooms from inventory can be cooked at the bonfire in the forest to create healing items.
merchant shop -> if hearth container has 3 or more "bad" deeds you can rob stuff from the table -> only way to get "
Bat Piercings".
Ruties house:
shrooms from inventory can be cooked at her furnace for healing items.
lose to wasp -> go to Rutie for help -> get a new party member.
incubate slime core at the crystal -> get a new party member.
Demon town:
succubus -> can transport you to key locations -> goblin at Ruties house will gain new items to sell (can be used for crafting with Aria inside Rutie's house).
gargoyle -> knows location of lost storage key -> go behind tree at start of town for key -> go to storage or be nice and return the key to the panicking orc.
grim reaper -> come back to him when Rutie joins your party latter in the story -> talk to him 3 times to learn all of his abilities.
talk to Medya on second floor of the PUB -> talk to her again to get an egg -> hatch egg for new party member.
obvious chest in this area is obvious...
Road out of Demon town:
Chest on second floor of the house the two soldiers go in
on the next map obvious chest is obvious
on the map after that one there is a semi-hidden path through the woods from the top-down, chest in this area.
Boss fight area has rocks blocking a path to the south-east, these will disappear when the final chapter starts (it allows going "back" to the hometown).
Soldiers when defeated give gold coins that can be sold for a fair amount of money to use latter in the game.
Underground mission:
equipping lantern on a party member grants vision, grant's 50% resistance to fire and darkness (enemies in the final mission use darkness attacks).
lose to a spider -> go to "safe" house crystal -> get new party member (needed for getting Rutie to max her magic knowledge latter in the game).
Casino mission:
library -> with Rutie in the party talk to the woman on the second floor for mission -> come back to complete mission -> talk again for magic training.
clothes shop -> buy expansive dress -> finish the main mission -> when "home" at Rutie's place talk to new companion to change outfit.

Bael Sword grants
Overdrive Skill that can do large damage to Final boss and preceding minions.
-> devil's secret potion grant's permanent stat increase (carries over to new game+).
-> eggs from shop can be incubated at crystals to gain new party members.
-> spell books for ice and earth type damage are rare so consider buying them.
-> rings and brooches can't be found elsewhere but are not as useful as some other ones found elsewhere in the game.
-> potions can also be created by Aria when at Rutie's house, so maybe don't waste coins on them.
-> coins cannot be exchanged latter for money or items and do NOT carry over to a new game +, so make sure to spend or convert them all before proceeding with the mission.
taking a loan and refusing to pay it back will result in losing ALL of your money. Advisable to have over 30,000 gold before gladiator tournament.
Ceron City:
weapons shop -> steal necklace (can't be obtained otherwise)
-> owner duel (not advisable on 1st playtough, you have been WARNED) -> get access to back of store, one crate has
Seraphim, grants
Overdrive Skill that can do large damage to Final boss and preceding minions.
-> slums -> talk to the old man while Rutie and Athena Kline (Spider) are in the party -> talk about magic training (if all other magic training is done then Rutie will now be completely trained, carries over to new game +).
-> if you have over 30,000 gold you can deal with the informant on the main street faster.
Final mission (before starting it make sure your party is over lvl30 and that you have at least a dozen revive, 80%MP,80%HP and elixirs since there are no shops afterwards):
prison-> last cell is empty because of a bug (event tab2 -> "self switch A is ON" needs to be ticked in editor in order for it to work properly, fixed in in patch).
prison-> all npcs are bugged to set rescue parameters, instead of adding them together, you need 5 freed prisoners for a chest containing "
Guidance of the Light" to spawn in final area before Boss. (patch fixes this).
dark room-> 1 grey/gold chest will spawn with "
Guidance of Darkness" if "Heart's Vessel" is over 100, 2nd is supposed to spawn if all prisoners were freed (it's bugged and will never spawn without patch).
dark room/final boss -> resistant to "Darkness", weak to "Light" -> only "Light" damage in the game is from "
Bael/Seraphim" "
Overdrive" skill and Aria's "
My Hidden Power!".
Aria's skill has only a 10% success chance "on paper" but can do ~1/3 dmg to the bosses HP (Testing showed it usually only takes between 2 and 3 attempts to get the ability to score a hit, so it's not actually that bad).
-> Boss drains your entire parties HP and MP each turn, so you can use "
Guidance of Darkness/Light" to partially counteract that.
*Unfinished game content*
"Key of ???" from a vase inside the castle at the start of the game does nothing.
"Casino was to have an additional tournament sign up NPC that for 50,000 cash would have let you spectate the tournament from the door to your right".
When you finish the game you can view CG for an additional unfinished event.
*Notes*
Hammers all have -30% hit chance (except 1 that has -20% ) however some of them grant abilities that are not effected by this hit chance reduction.
Seraphim/Bael's Overdrive skill is a "certain hit", while regular attacks suffer that -30% hit penalty.
Some "boss" and "mini boss" battles will have special helpful things happen if the battle isn't over after a certain number of turns, or if you are close to defeat.
*Bugs*
Manbeast/Centaur party member has "bugged" attacks. The Class itself has a whopping -30% HIT chance, it's weapon (that cannot be changed) has a -10% HIT chance.
Also since almost all the enemies have their own evade chance this is made even worse. Also it's skills have 80% of that already stunted accuracy.
If you think this should give you a nice 60% base chance for regular attacks at least...you are...WRONG...because:
The real reason is that it literally has a starting NEGATIVE 30% HIT chance. Instead of setting the classes starting HIT chance (from 0 to 100, all other classes have 95%) the dev put -30%...assuming that it will simply be deducted from 100% to give 70%.
Unfortunately since this is the starting parameter it ends up being -30%, which it can't be cause it's only from 0 to 100, so it defaults to 0 during gameplay.
"
Guidance of Darkness" item has incorrectly listed effect of replenishing HP, it actually replenishes MP, while "
Guidance of Light" replenishes HP.
Information boards on several maps do not display anything because their priority was set to "bellow characters" by accident in the editor.
A handful of additional lines for some NPCs do not display because of improperly used/unused self switches (for instance an NPC at the library references the myth about
Bael's sword, which just so happens to grant one of the only 2 abilities in game that can do good damage against the final boss and his minions, it can be found in the casino coin shop).
Previously mentioned bugs about missing spawns for chests, npcs, board signs...
A crash bug described earlier in the thread regarding a bugged attack for wasps.
*Fixes*
You will need
decrypter, mentioned earlier on this thread by
Silentce (page 3)to extract the game assets, move them from the "extracted" folder to the main game folder, then rename or move game.rgss3a to somewhere else so it does not interfere with anything
For every bug described in the guide, fixes are in the
attachments (except the wasp crash).
