Where are you currently stuck at? Generally it's rather easy to understand what the game wants from you (well can't expect a porn game to require you to think much honestly), however due to the translation sometimes even I got stuck and since I am about to complete the game, I can probably tell you what to do.

Koikatsu is an anime-styled 3D rendering program, focused more around character modeling, customizing, and posing. Corrupted Kingdom is a project made with it.

I mean...HALF true? It's actually a school based game made by Illusion but the most used part is pretty much as you say. I'll say 85% of anime-styled 3D games are made using models from it. A few others instead use the other game Illusion made that uses more realistic visuals.

It's sad that most of Koikatsu's fame is outside the game itself lol, now if only Illusion would take the good from Koikatsu and combine it with the good from their Artificial Academy 2 game and finally make Artificial Academy 3.

And you believe right, that's what it is. For more information:
If they are marked orange and with the word "previous", they are from the previous update
If they are marked green, they have new scenes/events during this update.
If they are not marked at all, they haven't seen any action during at least 2 updates.

And now that I think about it, I noticed that scenes are angles fall into the same category. Does that mean that we actually have just 4 scenes with 2 different angles and just 1 with a unique angle, making them actually 5 total scenes instead of 9 original scenes?

I mean, it's not BAD but it's far from being good. In AA2 (Artificial Academy 2), you can create your school, students and then just sit back a watch them do their own thing. Depending on status and other factors, they may either rarely come up to you or constantly come up to you. Give a girl enough status and she'll come up to you out of nowhere, being the first time you interact and ask you for sex. They'll get into relationships, keep track of others' relationships, have sex, cheat, fight or even kill one another. It was a fantastic H sim game.

Koikatsu on the other hand LOOKS better but has absolutely nothing that made AA2 great. It's based in an all-girls school (with the single boy to judge how it goes trope) instead of a public one, the girls do their own thing but other than masturbate or have some yuri action every now and then nothing really happens. If you don't take the time to interact with the girls, they will never interact with you regardless of their status. So going from AA2 to Koikatsu seems like a graphically upgrade but a content downgrade.

Bro I remember playing Artificial Girl 3 YEARS ago, my first ever H game, and that made me cum so many buckets. The best thing about that game for me was another girl would walk in on you as you're having sex with another girl and just watch and masturbate to you. It was the hottest fucking thing.
