From my understanding it wasn't really a guess. I could be mistaken but I'm almost positive I read a post saying that Elena was supposed to be D but people out voted her in place of who we have now, the roles were originally reversed to where "D" was the friend. Don't quote me on it though, I may be thinking of another game.
As I understand it, you're basically correct, they thought that Elena was going to be the central LI. I don't think they actually conducted a poll, and I've no doubt those that know will educate us, but that the initial reaction to the first release showed a massive preference for Dee.
Whether a guess, luck, or trusting early feedback, however Mr. Dots was moved to pick her, Dee's proven to be an icon.

I still remember something about it but it also seems she may have been a sister at one point but he decided against it. Unless I'm reading too much into it.

It was a combo because of course the giant tit lovers all clamored for the model we have now but also there was some flack about Elena looking far too young and it could lead to a headache with Patreon and even maybe here
Now all these years later and Patreon fucked him over anyway with their super sudden "NO incest" rapid ban-hammer.
So he could have had Elena's model be the daughter. He clearly always liked her enough to make her such a big part of the story for the 1st 2 chapters even if you didn't try to fuck her.....
But it's OK in my book:

We got Melody which was a good fun VN
And now we got SuLo which is my FAVORITE and it has plenty of Petites/Teens

The very first update of the game D had a completely different personality.Way closer to what we have with Elena now.
He reworked the first scene and choices for the second update.
Fun fact-0.01 had no ending at all.
At that time it was usual for the players to use ALT+F4 in order to exit the game.
SU and BB immediately comes to mind.

From what little I've seen of Martin F is bigger than him. Also it wouldn't be the same story if they didn't inbreed. It was just something that crossed my mind.

That's because the game was originally planned very differently. It was planned more on corruption and sharing. It changed to the vanilla direction much later.

That seems odd really. There is a massive focus on sharing right now, I can only imagine what it would have been like if this is the "vanilla" version of the game.

I'll assume that you did not start using my mod when you first starting playing Ch. 4 which would be why you are probably getting that error. In which you need to start a new game using my mod which will also allow you to see more content.
