I know what Palmer has said. I support Palmer's decisions but when you have someone on here doing nothing but slamming a DEV since Sept that doesn't support the Dev, then someone should be told it

It's a waiting game but the wait for this chapter has been much longer than the rest and sucking people in with free offers then withholding further installments to make money is a tried and true way of duping people. If you're willing to take the stance of 'they released chapter 1 for free, they can release chapter 19 whenever they want', what's to stop them never releasing it and just making money from the patreon? By that logic, releasing one game or part of one game releases them from their obligations and commitments to all the other games. And if Palmer wants to make money off the game, that's fine. It's his product, it's his right. But then he should remove the 'free' part from his company header.

Just tape DFD on youporn.. All the video series of the game are there whit the final chapter since months.. Because it's a linear game no choice dont care about if it's on youporn or whit a download, it's exacly the same n the screen. And youporn it's free for all even for Palmer !

Secondly, you call me a "little bitch" for fairly criticising a developer for not releasing something free in a timely manner when that was promised.
Criticism of anything is allowed, be that the content of the game or the free release schedule. If you can't handle me "slamming" Palmer, then I feel really bad for you pal, but I will not tolerate personal fucking attacks.

And it has, since it keeps getting free releases while Chapter 19 hasn't. What's the reason that DH couldn't have been pushed back while you focused on getting Chapter 19 out? You could have done it earlier and released it without the epilogues. Not to mention you then turned around and tried to argue that the free releases of DH don't affect DFD earlier in this thread, but it's all just doublespeak to avoid scrutiny for your business model.

I am aware of those and I do think they're a good alternative for people who get tired of waiting but still don't trust Palmer or think the game is worth $10. Pity the guy reading the dialogue in some of ones I saw didn't have a smoother voice, but it can always be muted. But words do mean something, so if Palmer is going to say he makes 'free' games, then he needs to be held to account for that.

Chapter 1 doesn't have the wrench because in chapter one you set up the definitions, i.e., name of daughter, name of diner, etc. Wrench starts appearing as incest options do.

Exactly, no date was given, nothing was given. Nothing was said either. We had the Ch.19 delay get longer and longer with no reason given, no ETA given, no communication at all, even on the announcements tab on Discord. You really think people are gonna be happy about that? Of course we could always take your stance of "shut up and deal with it, it's coming whenever it does" but there was honestly no guarantee of that, because as I said, there was no communication.

Palmer knows he fucked up too, because why else would he offer the epilogues free with Ch.19 out of the blue otherwise? It's him acknowledging that and him trying to make amends with his fans who've waited for a game he promised.

Oh and please don't patronise me by saying I "whined". I harshly criticised at worse, along with some others who were sick of the delay. Saying I whined makes you look petty and thin skinned.

That was before we decided to include every single epilogue that was released online monthly for patrons after DFD19 was done, into the free online/offline version that you guys will be getting. The release will still be as soon as possible. We made that late decision mostly because of the negative feedback left here on the forums, for those of you who are ignoring everything else we released for free while waiting for DFD19 free.

I've played through chapter 5 and I like this so far but honestly I'm going through some stuff right now and I don't think I can handle a sad ending. On the other hand something happy would be really welcome. I don't really care too much about spoilers so just let me know. Thanks

No one is ignoring the other free stuff. But there's a vital question to be asked about why other stuff became the priority when DFD was the first game out. Logic would dictate that it would get its free releases first. Instead, the focus moved on to DH before DFD had been completely released for free.

And again, you tried to argue with me earlier in this forum that the free releases of other games had nothing to do with DFD.

EDIT: It was Stranded with Me not DH, but the free release of another game still affects the release of DFD, despite it being released first, unless you're going to argue DH affects it but not SwM, which evidently isn't true.

Thanks. I appreciate you taking the time to reply (and make this game!). I was less worried about multiple endings and more "can I play this through to the end and end up generally happy with someone and my daughter not hating me?" if that makes sense. I understand there is going to be conflict along the way and you might have to make some tough decisions, I just want the possibility of coming though it with a feel good ending (not that there is anything wrong if that's not the case, it's just what I'm looking for right now). It sounds like I can, is that right?
