The majority of harem endings i ever saw were shitty and seemed to exist just to stroke the fragile ego of some the players via fanservice.
I really can't see how to write one around the personalities of Amanda, Cassie and Jane. For starters there isn't even any mention so far of them being into each other (in a sexual way) and Jane even warns Roger to keep their sex a secret because of Amanda.

OK, it's not like I am gunning for this harem combination, but given the above ... I can definitely see that someone like Amanda shows the potential to get swept away by her desires, so maybe that could also be something that influences her thinking on the matter as well.

We saw how her brain recoiled after what happened in the hotel, but it seemed mostly about her guilt towards Cassie and perhaps her own fear of falling so easily into the moment (about which she apparently fantasized, helping that moment along). Over time, if Cassie somehow comes into a similar level of intimacy with the MC, then Amanda and Cassie could discover they have more in common than either realized ... and Jane rounds out the foursome. So, there does seem a legitimate path for accepting each other's sharing of the MC at some level.

Hm, the more I think about this, I believe what we've seen thus far has the germ of making it work eventually.

It's existence really depends on whether or not I can write such an ending convincingly. A lot would have to change with the characters between where they are now and where they'd need to be for that to happen. I'm letting that possibility stew a little on the back burner and I"ll check on it again in a few chapters and see where the characters are at developmentally.

I won't write or include anything for the sake of having it. I have to be convinced that how I'm writing remains consistent and believable with the rest of the story and the characterizations as they exist today. So time will tell on that one.

See, now I know I literally just real subtly tried to bribe you with a nomination for an Imperial title to get a Cass, Jane, Amanda harem ending, but I'm super happy to hear about how you plan on taking this. As another commenter mentioned, harem endings are almost always just...not at all convincing. Which is usually fine, cause in games with harem endings the characters aren't actually written like people...but then it rarely ever feels fulfilling.

I usually have the same problem with stories where you hook up with "your neighbour's daughter"; the risk, the taboo, the complicated feelings and relationships, all mixed with a sexual and romantic desire that builds until it becomes overwhelming, all that gets just ignored and "your neighbour's daughter" who has known you as a "parental figure" their whole life is just down to jump your bones at the turn of a page because plot. Like, we degenerates want to enjoy this fantasy of an MC who gets with "their neighbour's daughter", but that fantasy is much more than just the sex itself. So yeah, long-winded way of saying I'm a big fan of your approach of letting who the characters are guide both the story paths and the possible endings. Makes me happy that I decided to pony up to make my meagre contributions to your patreon

No worries. I always appreciate your advice! My primary goal right now is to continue jamming out the game in Daz to avoid any slow down or delay's. I'm going to continue playing with Blender, learning features and getting primo at it. And when the day comes that I feel more comfortable with Blender than I do with Daz, and I feel I can churn up assets in a timely fashion, I'll start making the transition. I have a tentative plan in my head. I just got to let it play out.

We'll see. Right now the endings are a shadow in my mind. I have so far to go yet that I'll study that bridge and figure out how best to burn it when I arrive.

Yeah, I very much prefer character consistency over "harem for the sake of it". I don't mind a harem ending but there must be a long build up to reach it, and must be believable... I'd like to have choices that lead to consequences that matter, not just a fuckfest, there's plenty of games like that already.
Your writing skills are a big plus in the game, so go on with your vision and don't compromise for the sake of an illusory easy approval.

Yeah it depends completely on how their characters evolve during the story. It's very much a living thing and even I don't know everything that's going to happen between A and Z. There may be some situations that nudge personalities in particular directions, but I won't know till I get to writing those scenes.

Yeah but in my game I try to mitigate the suspension of disbelief as much as I can. Obviously it has to be pushed in some places to make the plot move, but I try to keep those stretches subtle and within the bounds of near reason as much as possible.

Which is why I say I can neither confirm nor deny the possibility. I don't have a well defined plot that takes us through this story. I have a shadow of a plan for ways it can end. But I don't have a linear plot that gets us there. What I have are strong characters with well defined personality types and that kind of dictates what happens in a scene.

But as we've seen with Amanda, the personalities are capable of going through a bit of a paradigm shift under certain circumstances and in that way the characters can definitely evolve. But that sort of evolution will come out naturally in the course of the writing as I feel out the scenes and situations. So we'll see. Anything is possible.

While I appreciate the sentiment...if I'm to become Imperator, I'm going to do it the old fashioned way. Through bloodshed and a coup! One by one I'll sway the Praetorians to my cause and when the time is right...WHAM!!!

But I digress...

The characters will always dictate the story when I write. It's one reason I find the writing to be the easiest part. They're people with their own, thoughts, feelings, insecurities, confidences and agendas. Of course those change subtly depending on what path you're on, red, blue or black. But they're there and they steer the creative vessel. And the MC and Cassie's relationship will certainly be about more than just the sex. My story is about relationships in general of which sex is only a single part. It'll be fun, that much I'm sure of.

Thank you! I want my story to be an entertaining, grounded, well rounded, all you can fuck buffet. I like to think of it as a derivative of Madmen or some other popular TV show but one in which we get to see all the fucking.

IDK about everyone, but I am pretty loose with my definition of 'harem' when it comes to games. Mainly, it just consists of a minimum of being able to sleep with a number of people without anyone getting too upset about it. The group sessions are nice, but not really required. That said, when it comes to people who are really close to each other (friends/family), then it makes sense (best friends/sisters share everything kind of thing).

This conflicts me so much. On the one hand, I want to say I'm sorry. But on the other, I did mark the fetishes.

And I mean, one of my goals is player immersion and I'd say in that moment you and the MC were definitely of one mind. I mean, you can't relate to what the character is going through more than that can you?

Alright, time for an opinion piece. Recently I've been messing around with Daz's "Denoising features". I've played with several combinations with mixed results and I think I've finally honed in on a setting that I'm fairly pleased with. However (isn't there always a however?)...

However, there is certainly a trade off between fine detail and denoising. I like to use detailed skin textures and noise patterns to add a little bit of surface detail to my characters. But the denoising algorithm tends to remove some, if not all of that detail.

Now I have my opinions on the subject, but I'm curious what yours are.

Not denoising = a little bit of grain but fine surface detail
Denoising = almost zero grain but loss of surface detail

I'm curious, which do you prefer? There are no right or wrong answers, I'm simply soliciting feedback.

The difference is very slight though and, tbh, if you'd made the change in-game and not said anything I doubt I would've noticed.

At first I didn't saw a difference. Good, you added the side-by-side comparisons. After that i saw the difference, but I doubt I would have noticed it ingame without the comparrison. The only real difference I can spot is Lupitas face in the first and forth picture of the side-by-side comparrisons.

Personally both versions are ok for me. I know that's not really helpful, but the difference is really small in my eyes. Maybe there are other good reasons for one or the other version besides the visual outcome, which could be considered.
