So which one is the biggest baddest more complete best for beginners?
EraSumireTeru, about which everyone seems to be constantly forgetting, is the most complete (its fully complete) and the most translated (pretty much everything is translated), and is fairly big (but is limited to one girl). It is also pretty much the only era game with a comprehensive visual UI.
If I were to recommend an era game to a complete beginner who has not a clue what era games are, it would be eraSumireTeru, and not TW or K (and definitely not Megaten).

Wow, that's something new! So EraSumireTeru, EraMegaten, EraToho TheWorld, and EraTohoK?
Are they all have a wide variety in terms of sex orientation - more specifically, masculine M/M contents?

Male characters basically don't exist, so on that front no. Gay content in the feminine direction is also iffy, as while it's supported in engine and there are some events it's usually assumed everyone is straight and the player is a guy. Not to the point of the Pc being misrepresented or anything, but it's how the game is structured. The 2hus aren't going to diddle each other.

SumireTeru is strictly about a lesbian romance with optional futanari content so it depends a lot on what you mean by gay.
If you mean solely male on male then then it is mostly Megaten and TohoK that have options for that and even then it isn't the main focus.

People keep forgetting the most basic and fully translated eraTYPE-MOON... It's the one closest to the origin of the eraGames which is eraKanon...
I think rather than forgetting about them, they just don't know about them lol. A lot of shit doesn't get talked about much so nobody knows about it. That's a problem with games that are already completed or are unpopular. TW, K, Megaton, are always what people talk about so it's what people know the most about. We need more people hyping up the other Era games.

Like I tried this one Era game that was a city management game but nobody talks about it and I don't think it gets updates anymore...so it's kind of dead. I can't even find it again : p I heard a bit about MaouEX but not enough to make me want to play it. Probably means there wasn't much content or it wasn't that translated. Apparently Maou is in "development hell" too from some comments I've seen recently and might not get worked on anymore any time soon. A split in two versions, one with more content but in Chinese and one with less content is causing issues I think.

Edit: Ah, found it That game seemed like it could be really cool but there wasn't much content for it yet. Had RNG sprites and stuff.

Uh, EraTohok has several male characters like an old turtle for example, plus special fractions like goblins are all male and other can be changed to male leaders , EraMegaten has Male and Female only demons and characters like Oni or Angel. Those games aren't slave trainer simulator only like eraTYPE-MOON, they have some gameplay like rance-like strategy game or dungeon exploring with catch them all gameplay.

Yeah I meant M/M contents.
So just as I thought about major Japanese porn games, masculine Male on Male (not feminine like Yaoi) is not a feature in these "Era" games - aka there's nothing for me?

I've had a lot of fun with eraTohoK over the years, most of it is translated as well.

The easist way I found to experience the porn side of this game is to create your character but don't set yourself as the leader of your chosen nation, and make sure to set the crisis to the maximum strength possible, then set them to arrive immediately. Then at your soonest opportunity leave your starting nation and join the crisis nation. Any battles you win, capture everyone because they will eventually be broken and join your side willingly anyway. Set captives to brothel to get megabux and to break them quicker. They'll hate you but doesn't matter they'll forget about you soon enough.

Every turn make sure to do these following things:
  1. Arena if possible
  2. Training if it is cheap
  3. "Random" exploration with your character. These almost always have a negative impact on your character in terms of stats or whatever but many are chains that lead to porn
  4. Pick an S tier character and visit them every turn, there are other guides in this thread on how to develop relationships effectively. I almost always pick Alice.
  5. Save before every action and save scum like your life depends on it (lets be honest if you get this far into this guide youre a coomer, so your life DOES depend on it)

Basically... It's there in eraTohoK... but... It's at default toggled off and most scenes are untranslated... Just like how most NTR scenes are toggled off and untranslated because the translators don't want to touch them...

Nah, I think you will be disappointed, since there is no description of a character, unless you know them from the games, except their parameters(a subject that doesn't have a vagina but has an intolerance for an alcohol).

You can actually join the Special Factions at character creation if you didn't know. I mention that in a guide I wrote a while back.

In terms of content, there is male on male content in Megaten and TohoK, its just rather scarce. In Megaten a number of the demons you can train are male and their is nothing stopping you doing so as a male character yourself. You can even set your sexual preferences at the beginning of the game (although this has little effect beyond the training sections.)
Tohok is a bit thinner on content but does feature several male characters. But they are rarer.

So yeah, they are not made to cater to those seeking male on male content but there is some available regardless. As to whether it is enough to justify playing? Personally I can't really say being a straight man but if you have any interest in RPG's I would say to give Megaten a go just on the basis that it is a solid, albeit punishingly difficult game in its own right. And there are a number of male demons and humans for you to train to give a solid enough sexual experience as well I would hope.

Is that Megaten as in the Megaten I think it is? Sorry to bug you but hearing this exists is too earth-shattering news and you need to point me to the nearest place I can find it.

EraAs is still in development, but is not translated by anyone.
