The JP EraK isn't being worked on anymore? That's sad, it's my favorite. To be fair, I haven't played Megaton or TW because they don't really seem all that interesting to me. I considered getting into Megaton, I dunno why I haven't. I think because it was only like half translated last I checked.
I tried Megaten. I don't recommend it. Like playing a game from the 80s, with all the crust of one intact and modern complications. It ain't a very pretty or wield-ly gameplay experience. Pretty much only for the Megaten fans so diehard they could suffer through anything for the series.
It so much trouble and investment that it's just not fucking worth the payoff when TohoK and TohoTW have the same sex systems, but way more unique dialogue. If there's some character in EraMegaten you really, really, really want to bang that badly, you can just make them in TohoK via Custom Characters, anyway.
TW would be a lot better if more characters were just translated. The Japanese guy who wrote most of the translated ones seems to have a fetish for explicit mental disabilities and other such things. And he writes like someone with a mental disability. Like, nearly everyone at SDM is translated, but their scripts are so bad and OOC, they're pretty much unreadable.
Like "Mentally Insane, Tsundere" Tewi (Tewi gets three different scripts and they're all bad.) or then there's Flandre who doesn't so much act like a "Anime Loli" as much as she acts like a literal 5-year-old who can't spell her own name, yet.
Most of the best (Best as in amount of content + Writing quality) characters are untranslated. At least Akyuu, Kosuzu, and Suwako are translated. They're amongst the better ones in TW. (Though, they can't compare to the untranslated Alice, Kasen, Nazrin, Kogasa, Satori, or Koishi. Those six all have at least 1 MB of text to each of them. And most of that text is at least decent.)
If you try TW, I recommend starting in the Human Village and gunning for Akyuu, Kosuzu, or Suwako. There's definitely still lots of grind to TW, though.

Are you confusing Tewi with someone else I'm pretty sure I only remember her having two dialogue sets and her default one isn't that bad from what I remember, it's actually pretty barebones(only having text when you happen across her on a map and a handful of conversation variations) and could kinda fit her if you pretend it's not that ooc for her to randomly try encourage you to perv on the other Eintei characters. Also I don't remember the SDM characters giving off a "mental illness" vibe other than Flandre's being the shit you described.
Some of the untranslated stuff in TW is kinda weirdly fucked up at least from what I remember when I bothered using Translation Aggregator for the untranslated stuff. Either Mai or Satono for example, I can't remember which but one of their scenes for falling in love with the player is them banging their head repeatedly on a wall or something like that until they started bleeding because she was breaking by going against the way she was "programmed" by Okina from what I could understand.
Well, I'm generally referring to the author's notes and comments in the files. I opened up the actual files and read through them. The author explicitly states things about wanting the characters to come off as "mentally ill," "tsundere," and some other such words.
Even the translaters from 4chan were confused by this in their own comments. Followed by some comments here and there about rewriting some of the more extreme lines while translating.
Also, I doubt you read through all of what Eientei/SDM girls have to offer. (I think you talked to some of them only briefly in gameplay like you seem to suggest with Tewi?) Cause the actual dialogue files for both SDM and Eientei were fucked all the way through when I read the files themselves. (There's conditional code all over the place around the lines. So, lines can't be taken out of context when read in this way.)
I'm not talking about how graphic/niche their dialogue gets, I mean writing quality. Like that Mai/Satono head-bashing thing gives actual proper motivation in context. The graphicness may not be to one's taste, but from a writing perspective, it functions. Hell, I could easily see a series playing the head-bashing for some kind of cartoonish gag. Such a gag would entirely depend on visual tone (graphic, detailed visual violence vs gag-manga, simplified visual violence), which these games can't communicate.
The SDM/Eientei girls just kind of do things, flip/flop everywhere with little motivation, behave OOC, or act explicitly deranged like Tewi's kicking and screaming when you fuck her after she asks you to fuck her.

Nah I mean I actually looked at Tewi's files myself and I don't remember seeing anything too ooc for the most part when I did as she didn't have much dialogue during sex other than random moans and the very occasional mesugaki-lite(stuff like going "your lolicon dick is making me cum") shit. The reason I looked was that I wanted to see if she had any unique dialogue I was missing because I couldn't be bothered to see if getting certain stuff to certain levels would actually provide more dialogue in game. And that's what I meant by barebones as some other characters actually have dialogue for the various actions in sex but Tewi only really had dialogue for basic actions like conversation and not really that much for stuff like performing specific sex acts.
Can you provide an example of this? I've genuinely never seen anything like that when having sex in-game(For example in a new game I just made when cheating to have sex with her immediately pushing her down provided no dialogue and the first dialogue I got was her going「stop , pervert cock , eh ... ow! ...... ... !? 」and when letting her initiate the sex it just does the generic "you were embraced" with no unique dialogue.) and I can't seem to find anything like that in her files themselves unless it's something in that untranslated futa dialogue set.
Also with the Mai and Satono thing I was just remarking about how fucked up the situation itself was not really trying to say it was related to the other stuff. For example the whole sequence is in the yearning scene she would be having sex with some random person before she suddenly remembered you as she was made to forget and then the love scene being what I described previously. Like it could be interesting from a story perspective and I actually would like to see what a human translated version is like but it's just not really what I'd expect from what essentially became a Touhou dating sim with light-life sim elements.
I'd assume so based on the title screen unless there's another version I'm not aware of or something.
Yeah, I'm just confused because I vividly remember a lot of the things I'm re-counting and messing with those terrible lines when trying to make my own edits to make things more functional/readable.
Maybe one of us was playing a really old version or something.
Part of it is the "secret club" mentality the chan boards have developed where they just hate people that participate in other internet communities and another is that they have an extreme hate for NTR primarily because of the whole bitching about "cucks" thing that became popular on the chan boards a few years ago and since this site allows NTR and doesn't allow people to clutter threads whining about it they get annoyed when people from here go on their server because they view them all as "cucks".
For example the ones doing some translations for the era games just kinda for the most part refuse to translate anything they view as "NTR" like that's how bad the hatred of appearing like a "cuck" has gotten on there. Remember after all that these are the same people that would get incredibly pissed if a game was translated by a professional company that cut or altered content which really shows how much that NTR stuff bothers them considering they'll do that very thing.
And something that's always been kinda funny to me as an offshoot of this is the Taimanin and Rance games were popular on /hgg/ before this happened and those games all feature NTR(Yeah even Rance has moments where some girls have bad end routes where they're stolen away from him or their lover from the villains) and corruption in the same way it's featured here but somehow it's not "cuckshit" to them if it's a Alicesoft or Liilithsoft game I guess.
That's the funny part, most of us here hate NTR, we just don't whine about it when it isn't needed (Well, most of us don't). I usually only bring it up myself when the game very clearly has NTR in it and the OP refuses to tag it properly with NTR. So annoying DLing a game to find out it's focused around NTR without warning. I can only assume it's because people don't want to admit they're into it. Get all those "Akshully, it's not NTR because the two characters weren't in a legally binding relationship, and...", lol. The site wide definition is even pretty good, people just refuse to follow it.
Certainly understand the NTR hate though.

I had the impression that most people didn't take sides on NTR. I feel like most people just want threads to not be cluttered by people on either side.
Which refusing to tag the game with NTR ends up doing every time. People download the game thinking it doesn't have NTR, realize it does, and people fight about the definition in every thread. Seems pretty intentional, maybe the OP is trying to get free bumps or just trying to waste people's time. That shit should be shut down.
Tags should prioritize warning people about content they don't want to see imo (There may be some exceptions). Similar to most sites NSFW spoilering images that might not be explicit porn. If you're genuinely at work, you can get in trouble for something that's even provocative right? It's some "Better safe than sorry" shit. I think the amount of people that will DL a game with a tag and refuse to play the game because it doesn't have their exact definition of that tag is quite a bit lower than the amount of people that will get pissed off they just wasted time DLing a game that wasn't supposed to have a tag but does.
Most people understand people wanting to avoid scat for example. I'd love it if we stopped tagging shit...with shit, and see the shitstorm in scat game threads that that causes. Scat apologist: "It's not even really scat, because it's almost entirely liquid". "The color isn't THAT brown, it could easily be enema fluid". Lmao. That's what NTR fans defending not tagging a game with NTR look like.

This is really the essence of the hate between the two sites. A minority on 4chan are Lolicons that hate NTR. (Though, most of the site hates NTR, not just the Lolicons.) The same is true on F95, just switch Lolicon and NTR.
The two minorities butt heads over stupid shit, trying to prop up their preferred of the two while demanding the one they hate gets removed. They don't come to any sort of compromise (Even when both have optional toggles.) and just end up angry by the end. They then go back to their respective sites to complain to the majority that also hates the thing that they hate, but are at least tolerant of the thing they were trying to push.
Then both sites just hate each other.
The 4chan translators were actually fine letting W65 translate SDMNTR because he makes lots of contributions to other projects on their repo. But then one of the NTRists that hates Lolicon started throwing tantrums in the SDMNTR issues. The Lolicons that hate NTR started throwing tantrums right back. F95 guy then came back here to F95 to complain about them, after deleting all his comments to hide his tantrum and make their tantrum seem even worse than it was. Then the 4chan group locked the SDMNTR repo out of spite.
Speaking from the position of someone with an interest in Lolicon, Vanilla, and Netoraru (the 4th type of NTR no one seems to ever remember), I find the whole thing to be just embarrassing to watch.
