This was a very good novel, with good writing and well presented visual assets, and it's sad if really has been abandoned.
Can someone tell the dev how much the work is appreciated and ask him/her/them to continue?
That is a good idea. I will take my bicycle, visit him and tell him about the people who'd like to continue his game. I'm pretty sure, that will be huge surprise and motivates him again. Thanks mate. Sometimes the good solutions are rather simple. (y)

Yes the game had so much potential and compare it to Karlson Gambit is an insult to Estate dominate. I just replayed KG last week from start to the actual content and it was sometimes ok, sometimes bad but certainly not the same level as ED.

The main problem is that the dev almost never went here or in any forum to talk about his game and was not really communicative in any way.
But the lack of succes for this game mostly comes out of the theme, heavy submission and humiliation and the fact that even if you try the dom route you still are a slave. Many people here don't like this at all, they want to control the game and be the hero.
This game gives you a deep feeling of despair and if you really immerse yourself in it it can be quite harsh.
So with that kind of theme you already loose most of the players here. KG is different, it's more childish and the women are often just pretty pinups in skimpy clothes whith a ridiculous mistress attitude, i don't know how many boots i have licked in this game that was stupid after a while. And in KG you can almost reverse the domination and be the master, so the little insecure teenager players can be reassured, they are still men after all!!:ROFLMAO:

Then later when the dev let his game on hold and started complaining about the fact that he got just a few patron and not enough to be worth it, he start accusing piracy, a very good way to alienate people who discovered his story here.
Many devs don't really get it that if you want succes you cannot just create a masterpice and just put it in Patreon, the large majority of players discover those games here and in other sites, play them and if they like them they make a pledge in Patreon to help the dev.
Well maybe only 5% will pay for the game, but if the game has a lot of succes you can get thousands of patrons.
KG is a much better game, simply because Tess has updated it since 2020. Content wise it has a lot more, there are actual sex scenes and decisions that matter. ED had LOTS of potential, but as far as games go it didn't make it to anything important. I don't care about how flimsy the premise is of either game, but KG is putting out content. It is still a game. ED is more like a lovely visual novel that has 3 chapters written compared to 2 complete books and waiting on a 3rd in a trilogy for KG.

Honestly there is no comparison. One just happens to be better written with nice pictures between chapters. But because its just a draft of a few dozen pages it isn't a good BOOK.

...like those exquisite "slice of cheese, cherry, and a dash of syrup" gourmet "meals"...? Those sure are a waste of time and I'd much rather have some plain meat and potatoes each day than one of those once a month.
Perfectly valid opinion mate, just for me I have far more average entertainment I can consume than I have time to consume it so my biggest desire, much more than anything else including length or price, is QUALITY.

Well if you're going to get foie gras and its just the wine sauce and its missing the best part, then perhaps you settle for a nice steak and mixed veg instead. You might even be able to get a nice dessert to go with it. Meanwhile your wine sauce looks very nice on a plate with some greenery, but it isn't going to satisfy you.

Doesn't matter.

Hey, that's insulting! I'm an insecure middle-aged guy!
Have to say I found KG nastier than this one - I quit that one in insecure rage towards the perpetrators of torture. This one was far more psychological destruction - and ENDLESS conversations. Still wanted the game to end with MC either totally destroying or straight out killing the three Stern ladies, though. (By the way, I don't think that security detail exists. Only male in their employ is that driver. So when MC hulks out, nothing is going to save them).
1. To be fair, the starry household does indeed invoke some wholesome Communist regicidal feelings in me (even though I'm a subby). An idea could be if there were a rebellious female servant with whom the protagonist could conspire - thus without ruining the femdom aesthetic.
2. The copious amount of text was indeed the most horror-esque part of the game. So much useless introspection - and I'm not some anti-reading idiota. It was tiring.
3. What I hate about ED is the incest, however (I'm not some prude, but I never had siblings, so cannot relate).

One more argument for Karlsson's Gambit is the diversity of characters. Really livens up the world. ED is more like monastic life in a remote hamlet simulator.

I'd like to admit, however, that I'm thankful to Henissart for abandoning the game after putting in that final speck of chastity content - the fetish seems to have picked up speed in recent years, it doesn't seem to have been that common in the past.
but the bedroom is not

If not too off-topic, could you please name the bdsmlr/tumbex blogs you retrieved your gifs from? I know a few hundred, but maybe I've missed some.

Went to the developer's discord channel, he's streaming right now (demonstrating his screen). Couldn't connect to the stream (apparently no rights/access.) I'm wondering if the developer is showing/storytelling something specific about the game? If anyone has access to this stream, will you let us know what it's all about? Yes, there should be a joke here about the developer stream being dedicated to the wallpaper for July. :)

I'm on there.
Don't do this to yourself.
Of course it's not game related.
It's usually 1 of 2 things. 1) an actual game from a manufacturer. And they play MMOs. Or 2, as in this case, what they refer to as KINO night. Which are movies they stream. So they enjoy Umbrellas Of Cherbourg and things like that.
Don't fool yourself into false hope that this dev would actually care about his project.

It's even worse through the different channels there. People giggle about new ideas and help - which of course is ignored or rarely commented upon with 'no, that's not character like'. There's porn pics posted in certain channels to keep everyone entertained and forget the main purpose.

In short, a community center that is lively but has very little to nothing to do with the game.

I can't believe he still has over 150 patrons and is getting $500 a month for just wallpapers.

I assume it's 162 people who are genuinely convinced that the game will go on. If you recall some voluminous developer diaries, such as this one (November 2020) or this one (March 2021), where he described in great detail the tech process and everything going on with the game, as well as recall the memorable developer "angry post" about the ED coming out when ready, then perhaps this is what fuels the hopes of many people who still support him with money.

The only question is whether or not the developer still has the motivation and desire to continue with the game. I realise that the so popular option that the developer is cheating by doing nothing but releasing a wallpaper cannot be ruled out either. But something tells me that the chances of Heniss still working on the v56 still remain. The only question is how much patience the patrons have. People are used to feedback, and if there is none, sooner or later even the most loyal patrons may abandon him and then this game will be beyond saving.
