Is the Galatea body type in the standalone game? Has it been removed in 0.34?
It was never in the game at all. We never even had a single screenshot or video of her. Just the concept art and some 3D modeled costumes. Many people think she was never made in the first place, since they knew Steam would never accept her. I could easily believe that at this point. Smoke and mirrors.

There have been several images of her on the patreon going as far back as March 2020 when they showed the first prototype images of the 3d model. She exists, but they never put her in the original gallery mode and not in the beta. They have her, even voice samples for her, but she will never be in as she was. Pure vaporware.

At least not in this appearance anymore

Stretching her legs up making her thicker wasted stretching the torso and giving her some more age face specifics maybe gonna work for a pass through in Hardcore Scenes im pretty sure QI Wu finds a solution.

If everyone will be happy with the outcome is another question im pretty sure if you are happy with Alet or Erika you will be happy with the new revised Galatea as well.

Something into this direction only stretching it the breasts doesn't really matter at all she can have her baby breasts that's not the problem alone
though this complete proportions are also super strange

I wonder how the concept Artist expects to get this into a not weird looking and especially behaving 3D result *LOL* "Asians" Droll :D

Though it looks lot of people get addicted fast to it we have the first cases of abuse and the more we see coming up the more we gonna fight back.
Since gambling found it's ways into many Games it gets worse and those Designers on the other side lost their human being long time ago.
We have more and more cases of youth getting addicted to these Kind of Online Games and it becomes real problematic.
Back than we discussed about addiction in Games a lot but i never could have imagined that one day we would ever do it on purpose in the Core Design itself.
I never ever thought we would go into the direction of Mafias but with Mobile hell broke lose suddenly all boarders forgotten more and more agressive manipulative designs where invented.
And the Next Generation did it without questioning anything anymore like trained robots just executing commands.

I don't mind paying for games that are actually fun to play. Ain't no way I'm gonna pay $500 worth of content to "enjoy" it for like 10 minutes. This is some insane shit. I do believe they flew too close to the sun. On that note I will consider this game truly dead and move on.

Such a shame, the potential was truly there

Shit, it doesn't take rocket science to prove that gacha works, the most profitable games are gacha.
What is that sound that I hear?
(((MINECRAFT)))
Jesus that was too loud! But isn't Minecraft the most profitable game ever and has no gacha in it?

Also, have you ever heard of market saturation and ongoing costs?
Yeah, that's what the gacha-games market is. Over-saturated and requires devs to put a portion of their yearly/monthly profit towards ongoing costs (especially marketing) resulting in smaller net profit.

And please stop changing the subject.

I already gave example of FIFA in another post, that i think is best example there can be. This is long running series that has box price that can easily show how profitable gacha are. EA reports they made 1.6b in game sales and 4b in live service in the same period of time (2020).

All games require development costs and marketing, actually the ongoing costs are far smaller then the initial burst they need to spend to make and sell the base game.

Market saturation is the only thing that can save us from being overrun by gacha games. Now the question is do you think that porn game market is saturated with gacha games?

I didn't change subject, you are trying to do so by focusing on the most profitable video game and ignoring the rest of my post.

Fucking hell, they turned a porn game into a mobile game, complete with horrible grind, lootboxes and energy / time limits
Can't believe people bite into this shit.
I am wondering the same.

People are saying that on other forums and even a couple here, are complaining about galatea not making it in but they are ok with the rest of the game. Excuse me, wtf? As far as I have seen 99% of peoples complaints is that the entire game has become a shitshow, not just the exclusion of one character. Losing one character is fine by me if they fix the frame rates, the logging in issues, the crashes etc, but most of all just listen to the vast majority of player and make the damn thing singleplayer with everything unlocked. If you want progression, make it like subverse, it didnt feel grindy at all, healthy amount of gameplay to unlock everything in a funny campaign. Lovecraft can do the same with a more serious toned campaign, this is not hard. LISTEN TO THE PEOPLE!

Galatea will mean shit if the game continues down this road. I really like Alet and Erika, but I completely uninstalled the game in a matter of 2 hours after struggling to even get the game started. Like what the hell is Galatea female jesus or something to save the game?

Anyone supporting the game at this point on Patreon or other, or will give in to microtransactions when they start are the main problem of devs like EA becoming the way they are.

Lmao, for people who said that gacha game is profitable, well yes they are profitable, but they are not porn game. They are actual game, with content, story, character, gameplay. They are hard grind, yes, but very rewardable; they have system and a roadmap with content to keep player interesting in their game, make them continue to spend money on new characters, new gears,.... to enjoy the game

Someone on the steam forum did a very good breakdown of what people want. Here was their response. I can't believe someone actually seriously thought these answers were appropriate in anyway, its like dealing with a mom wagging her finger. View attachment 1586065
man people like this guy answering have been oblivious their entire lives or probably haven't played any games.
I know people that were using cheats in GTA san andreeas (to essentialy get everything in game) and played it for FUCKING YEEEEAAARS man, way more than I play 1 single game nowadays, and here are these idiots saying that it makes for better gameplay if you lock things away behind paywalls...who the fuck believes them??...
Sure it makes better money, but hell, it's not better gameplay
LMAO. All those games that make you do whatever you please (i.e. Kenshi) are clearly wrong and PH with its gacha mechanics is right.

*a DEMO is played by more ppl than a BETA lol
Kenshi is a great game btw, highly recommend it. No porn in it and it's a bit of a biatch to get into but it's fun as heck.

What is exactly your claim here and what are you lmao-ing about?
Yea those are the top of the top games naturally games that have better game play, content, story will win. Gacha doesn't make games better, it makes the games worse. Yet somehow being gacha didn't prevent them from being top games.

Oh, there are gachas games out there with no or very little game play that people "play" just to ogle girls. Ain't Nutaku basically a lair of gacha porn games? and they make enough money to put adds out...

Nah, not really, at this point everyone, dev, user or forum dweller is fully aware that theyre hell bent on maximizing profit... to the point we are now discussing if gacha is the most profitable or not.

At the end of the day, the fact remains that nobody wanted this nice gallery turned into gacha garbage.

And, ironically, it's the Helius team trying to put it in nice words, because profit... but you can´t hide the sun (or the helios?) with a finger.

Quality will always surpass gatcha in terms of long term, look at elder scrolls and gta 5, 8+ year old games that people still pay good prices for.

Gatcha can only survive if the dev's greed doesnt surpass their willingness to be consumer friendly, aka will they do events where players can get free items, will there be a fair way to earn "boxes" in a reasonable time, is there pay-only content in the game?, factors like these are what i have seen kill gatchas in the past, where devs only care about the players who pay, and dont care for the F2P players.

I can at least respect the gatchas that give F2P players free things and ways to earn things in the game, but i doubt PH is going to go the consumer friendly route, considering their.. past treatment to their patreons.

Long terms sales are not as important as the initial ones when the game is at full price and people are likely to buy DLC/season pass also at full price, rather then buy legendary edition for 10$.
I don't wanna worry you but Todd in one of the interviews said something a kin to this "look at all those people still playing Skyrim that we don't interact with" - aka we don't have any recurring profit from them. Paid mods for Skyrim backfired on them and they had to back off but what awaits in future?
GTA5 has the online mode i don't know if it has gacha like practices but i do recall news going around about them straight out adding casino to the game . It's big money maker and reason they won't release GTAVI for a while.

Gacha work because it exploits weaknesses of human psyche. There are some image / reception costs associated with going that path at least as far as western audience is considered. They still need to make a good game and they need to be generous enough so they get the reception of "Even if you don't spend the game is fun to play and worth your time" - that is when the gates of infinite money open. Some scummier ones go another route about it - start the game with only fair priced shop, no loot box, no fomo to get positive reception, lure people in and then later they add all the shit in when people are already invested.

Some games fail and that does apply to gacha games as well. Do they fail because they are too greedy or they are simply bad games ? that is hard question to answer - generally it's both.
Time will tell how PH will handle it. At the very least they need to fix the bugs and performance so people can "play" and then they need to keep adding "content" if they want people to keep spending.
