Just wait until January. Everything slows down in that month, so maybe they'll at least drop a note.

There was an announcement on the discord server literally two minutes ago as of the posting of this message. The dev is alive and well, making progress on the game. Just going slowly and taking a break from the internet.

This is the superior version of parasite infection and one of the few text-only games that is hot for me, the writing is just so goood! it saddens me greatly that it was abandoned.

It's not actually abandoned, more like postponed as the developer is taking a break.
I really hope there will be an update. Their writing is really good. Honestly, I wouldn't even care if it stays text based with no images.

A few, similar but different;
Parasite Infection includes parasite and mind control. Has 4 parts where gameplay differs, part 4 is under development.
Invasive Species (1 & 2) are rather short and crude, but still enjoyable.

Well, I do hope the dev is doing well. I'll be waiting patiently for any future updates she might have for us
no it's not abandoned, that is just an automated thing with f95zone where if a games page isn't interacted with for a set amount of time then it is declared as abandoned
