That's why I specifically said SNC doesn't come on here, at least in a publicly discernible way, so complaining about a fetish does nothing to influence the direction of the game or add to the forum discussion; it just increases potential for derailment and rule violations. If he came on here it would be different if people were giving him constructive feedback about it. But that is not the case, it's just been an off and on circle jerk with mass post deletions from people bandwagonning onto the hatefest. That's died down to just a smattering of people bringing it up again once in a while even though it's been a non-issue for months due to changes the dev made himself. There's no nuanced discussion. It's just people complaining about a fetish, and some people occasionally agreeing with them.Dev doesn't owe me anything. I don't owe you anything.
You give your opinion. I give my opinion.
For you, complaints about sandbox or game mechanics can be different, but I've seen dozens of players who love sandbox as upset as you when other players complain about sandbox, grind.
If you can't live with different opinions, you will always complain about everyone who has a different opinion here on the forum.
But you've been a member for years and you've probably understood that the threads where the DEV clarifies the type of content it's going to create are the threads with the fewest complaints. There are still some complaints on all topics, but when the DEV is clear about the content, the complaint is much smaller. Better for the DEVs. Better for the players. Better for all...
And any forum user who doesn't have the ability to understand other opinions will spend all his time complaining about every opinion different from yours.
Also there's no rule about bashing sandbox games, like there is for fetishes, and mechanics and systems discussions don't typically lead to derailments. If people have feedback and they feel strongly that they want him to see it, find him on a forum he does frequent and publicly raise your concerns without harassing or threatening him, which some people do.
Also devs being clear on something doesn't always stop complaints, there are people who just feel the need to speak their piece--usually in a non-constructive, denigrating way--no matter what even if it violates forum rules or there is a giant yellow/orange warning not to in the OP.
Probably because I've been a member for so long the NTR discussion pisses me off because it wasn't an issue early on in the forum's history and around late 2018 and early 2019 people started brigading and destroying threads before moderation got more strict and reduced it. It's just another fetish to most of us and if you feel otherwise that sucks but not every discussion has to revolve around it and it's frankly annoying when the conversation in any decent thread heads in that direction. Most people don't want to see that convo in every thread.
