I am just starting out with this game, and I tried to get the original start from chapter 1. however, the download for that gives me the download for the Chapter 2 v.03. How can i start from the beginning? Is there a different link i should try?

The Holiday Special is stand-alone.

Just download the 'Main' game on the OP to get the 'full' version (does not include the Holiday Special).
