Well, could be a coincidence, but the guy in the vid and Ryan really look alike. It would explain why he seems to don't give attention to his wife. Plus, the writer job is convenient here. No office or clear schedule with a boss, colleague and and phone line. His wife and daughter just know he's working but have no way to show at work or else.
And if the guy is shady, it's a good way to kick him out of the picture and bang his wife in the "good route".

As for the money... clearly, if the guy works for Lucien, he should be loaded. But it's dirty money, it's not like he can put it on the table and say he's just sold a bunch of his unfinished books. Maybe he doesn't care about his family and his wife's business anymore. Maybe he went in shady business to earn money and it's a recent thing. And maybe it's a coincidence (or a false flag), but the guy isn't the typical "randomly rendered husband that will be cucked". It seems there is some work on his visual identity, so I doubt he just appears to look like another character by chance.

I'm definitely not abusing anyone. I had a short thing with Gabby until she broke it off, I'm in a relationship with Nicki now and staying faithful to her. If she is open to something else, we can discuss it, but I'm not messing with anyone unless she is ok with it. I'm certainly tempted though, but I love Nicki too much to hurt her. I don't think there are any (f) characters in this game that aren't interesting and attractive. Nicki is still my #1 but I could see myself with any of them (although there's a bit of an age gap in a few places.) Still, I have no problem with just being with Nicki and being super nice to all the others with no strings. That's one of the great things about the game though. With all of the good characters and all of the choices, you could play through a dozen times and have a different game every time - at least I assume that will be the case by the time it's done.

If you are being forced to make the dark decisions it is probably because Guy's darkness score is off the charts. If you abuse Nicki, then abuse blondie, then abuse Gabby your score will probably be so high that you will be locked out of some of the nice guy options going forward. It kind of snowballs and you just become more of an asshole as the game goes on. The reverse also seems to be true to some extent as some of the bad guy options are locked if you don't have a high enough darkness score.
