Unfortunately, this behavior will never go away as long as you have stupid ass patreons that do not value their money and time and they have no issue getting scammed. You get this kind of "devs," and I can name a few. But to be honest, you need to take into account that Xenorav did pause the Patreon payment, which is a good indication that he is not scamming the Patreons, so that's that. Unlike scam projects in which the "dev" takes the money while using the mental issues, personal issues, or BS sick excuse and they don't pause the patron charging, those, my friend, are the real scammers, and to tbh, there are much worse "devs" out there that I am not going to name publicly that took scamming to another level.

Yeah, at least he pauses payment but still I hate this shit with delays because of some problems which are present or not, we will never find out the truth.

I've enjoyed the playthrough of this game. I found the script a little quirky but I think the overall game is very well made, the models are A1, the animations are splendid, hats off to the dev. However I have to chuckle at the sheer number of users foaming at the mouth for the next 15 minute update of this game. Sure, I've seen this kind of stuff on other threads for other games with long update spells but this is a like a maniacal missed nintendo release date or something it's so sick. The rants are something else. It's like reading a thread of thirty crack heads a couple days into a dry spell. Funniest part is all of them in spite of their ranting will wait...however long it takes for that update...and play it with a satisfied buzzed grin when it arrives (well unless Amelie doesn't get popped of course, that will open a whole other can of worms). It will or won't be an excellent update. When it is or isn't released. Until then, there are plenty of other things here, and elsewhere in the world, to do until it does or doesn't. Furthermore, if it never does, I can confidently assure you that life will go on.

Burn out happens man. For a lot of these devs, these AVNs are a hobby/side hustle and a lot of the process is mind numbing work. Gotta take a break now and again. This will be back eventually. And if not... oh well...

it's like i'd have to wait years for any of these games to actually be complete at the pace most of these are developed. that's IF they ever get completed of course. i'm sure most people don't have years to wait on porn games.
just out of curiosity as someone who has zero knowledge on how to even start making these games or games in general, how long should a game of this level take to complete? assuming you have a job/school, a story in mind, major events planned out, pratogonist(s) and other important characters all set, a basic understanding of how to end the game etc.

Well, I assume the majority of the creators are looking to make $$$ on this time consuming endeveour, so potentially years of development. With the exception of a few high end games (Being a DIK as an example) there is just 1 guy making the whole game and that has to take forever especially considering they must have a day job unless they are bring in major bank on paetron. Hell, it would take me 10 years to make a porn game with how burned out I get after work.
Long story short ---- If you are feeling bummed out waiting for a game to release a new chapter ---- try something else? I found being a dik and treasure of nadia that way and those games are an absolute blast!
Or just watch porn and jerk off in less than an hour and do something else productive.
