Jump City Journeys Alpha 0.3 - Beast Boy's Debut
a lot of tech improvements under the hood this past month
and everything is in full swing of motion now.
From here on out, updates will be monthly instead of bi-monthly
The groundwork has been laid for Beast Boy's story and what's to come.
Since Beast Boy unfortunately didn't get an animated scene in this build,
he's still going to be next priority to animate a scene with.
Animations take up a decent chunk of time and this build was mostly coding
and laying a foundation for a multi-protagonist game.

Seems like dev times gets split between characters too much, and the game fizzles out. will have to wait and give it a try in a year or so when its more fleshed out. Sandbox scares me too tho.

love the designs, especially how you choose nightwing over Robin version. Although Jinx is a little too old looking

Games struggle to have 2 protagonists with multiprotag games, yet this one is going to have 5? Either the game is going to slowly die to feature creep or all the protagonists are going to have extemely short uninteresting stories. And whats even the point of making Beastboy playable if you arent going to do anything intresting with him, you know, the whole point of his ability? Hes just a reskinned version of the original MC, and that time could have actually been spent on making the original story better.

The game looks good so far, but a 5-protagonist story is something real hard, if not impossible, to pull off. I don't mean to sound too pessimistic, but even games with a single male MC and female MC struggle to make money and inevitably end up being abandoned, but 5 protagonists is a huge gamble for a new dev, and let's not forget that this game has 2 FMCs, which means 'questionable' or disappointing content for some players. Still hope the dev can do it, but that's a lot of work for a single guy, even if he focuses more on the sex scenes and doesn't care that much about having a good story.
I fully agree with you. The fact that there's 2 FMCs, who'll probably get fucked even by damn hobos for the 'plot', will make some ppl avoid the game, and if there's not enough support, the dev can't continue working on it, so the conclusion is simple. I hope he proves us both wrong, but I want to see the results first before singing praises.
