Your first post made me download it actually and I've been playing it since lol.

It's quite good but I'm very surprised that she would be paying homage to it since... y'know... she doesn't like incest (in particular father/daughter) lol

As far as I can tell, it's basically the same game universe. So, I also don't see anything stupid or weird about allowing Astrid to have a relationship in 2 VN at once, united by a common story and lore...Astrid doesn't seem to have become a nun, taken a vow of celibacy.And her only limitation, in fact, is her confinement to a wheelchair, but if Veronica gets over Astrid illness quickly enough, I don't see any objective obstacle as to why the "white knight" Kane couldn't have a romance with her.

I'd like to believe that both devs are mature enough to realize that the audience isn't expecting them to do some childish nonsense like saying that "all female LI's for the male MC from TQA have to be chaste virgins who have never had a relationship before". So for me personally, the reason why Tess originally decided to give Astrid exclusively to Anais and her TQA has always looked pretty weird and hard to explain.

I doubt it will. This game won't be successful just by sub patrons. The dev herself has said this repeatedly. I wouldn't raise unnecessary panic, and the sad (alas) fact that Dom players have Kiyomi removed (with whom, however, we haven't had even a hint of a romantic relationship so far, unlike Olivia, who will get such a rs with Kiyomi) is unlikely to affect anything else.

Plus, according to the dev, Dom players will probably get 1 additional LI from the Sub side (I wonder who that might be, only Mercy comes to mind, but maybe it's someone else).

Kiyomi offered to train Kane if she saw potential. In last update we saw kane's training started by playing tennis. So from ep 9, it was almost given that kiyomi will personely train Kane. But that doesn't look possible right now.

Astrid will not be LI for Kane but I think Yevette could be in Good Revolution path.

Astrid dont make sense as a li in this game anyway. She practically comes across as a kid. It would make more sense to develop her more in tqa esp since she's likely to not even be there by the end of the game if tqa has anything to say about it.

Kiyomi never really made sense as a li anyway since her relationship with Kane (at least on the dom side) has barely been developed.

Honestly, not trying to complain, but I just want to get to the next chapter already, seems we've been on this chapter forever

I think Kiyomi treated Seth unusually well, and so I thought the two would get together, especially after V's treatment...

What do you mean by "comes across as a kid"? If in terms of intelligence and personality, Astrid is much more "mature" and wise than many sadistic women in this game who think they are the crown of creation. If we talk about her looks, she looks quite mature for her age. Yes, she is idealistic, but that doesn't make her a child/kid. (imo)

But at the same time, she's arguably the best girl in the entire story. She reminds me a bit of Callista, I think Kane would be naturally drawn to her.

Yes, but that's supposed to change soon. And according to someone that was on her discord (I think Stan) her romance was really hyped up by Tess. Like, they were supposed to bond with each other at a very important moment in the story, or something along those lines.

Kiyomi is/was supposed to be romanceable by any of the 3 protagonists. And yea, I was always planning on her getting with my homie, Seth... which is why I didn't care so much personally.

And I'll also give Nadia to Otto if that's an option down the road. Maybe he can help fix this crazy bitch lol

But at the same time, she's arguably the best girl in the entire story.

It's hard to argue with that, though we all have our favorites, but Astrid is beautiful in every way.

(imo) That's why I understand Miles perfectly well and I too would like it "to be over" soon and that we would finally move on to the next chapter, instead of endlessly pondering who is hiding behind the mask of Grym Gudinna or something else equally ancient stuff.

Yes, it's entirely possible that this guy will still be lucky enough to at least fuck Kiyomi with his new big dick. However, for all of Kiyomi's sweet treatment of Seth,I definitely can't call sweet the way Kiyomi treated with this guy, who was put in a cage by our dear Olivia and sent to Kiyomi apartment.

And then in that cage a sick and naked Seth was forced to spend the night and then had to grovel and coddle Kiyomi.I'm talking about the "light femdom" (lol) scene that Tess suggests Dom players either view or skip. After that scene, I had questions not only for "fair Kiyomi" with her code of honor, but also for our lovely "good sis" Olivia.

I think it's worth mentioning that no other character actually even has the luxury of behaving like Astrid. Anyone else would be long since dead because they don't have a sister named Veronica Karlsson.

The last update for Summer's Heat for example took like 8 or 9 months for an update which had like 5~10 minutes of content, and I wasn't even remotely surprised because it's just such a completely normal thing in the world of AVNs lol.

But I don't see them treating her like a child...I think that's the wrong word...Rather, both Yvette and Veronica just love her very much and take care of her.

And the fact that Astrid with her brilliant mind (in some aspects even surpassing Veronica's) can sometimes afford such "childish directness", like the one on your screenshots, well, she can be understood. Probably, only a person like her, who has to be confined to a wheelchair most of the time, can appreciate the joy of movement and express it in such a simple and cute way.

Well I'm not going to argue, we risk getting too far off topic here if we start citing certain examples of games and comparing their development speed to KG. I realize that for serious western AVNs 6-8 months is a common thing, but that doesn't mean I'm happy about it.

Nah, it has nothing to do with you. Believe me, the personalities of Grym Gudinna etc. have been discussed here many times over the years...This could be any other topic, such as the personality of the 7th Board member, but I think you get the gist of my post...I'd be glad to discuss 0.8.2, but that's already been done, so we all sometimes have to show "wonders of ingenuity" to find something else that would still be interesting to discuss all together in a seemingly thoroughly explored game.

Ofc, KG as a game is quite rich in intrigue and mystery, and it's definitely not the kind of AVN where there's one single intrigue that everyone is already bored with...But still, I want new events, I want us to finally get a game show finale and move on to episode 9 and D.Kane's new life.

Until then, all I see is some obscure and not looking good news about "optimizing" characters, removing individual love path, some drama with harassers and such...Oh, and the feeling that this thread has been stagnant in recent months doesn't make me too happy either.

Not surprisingly Astrid is the only notable person not around the Karlssons so its hard to corupt her. Sure, Kane and Olivia can also be good depending on how they're played, but they too can be said to not be around the karlssons long enough to get corrupted.

Corporate Development Memo 18th of May 2025

Hi everyone!

It's a late Sunday night for me and I'm relaxing with some herbal tea as I write a nice update before getting some sleep

1) First of all, the basic update:

I did another 105 renders and finalized some animations I liked and basically as of right now, I think we're at 1,471 renders and 33 animations.

I did mostly dom side work this week because I wanted to think more about the next sub scene. One of the scenes above being pictured is probably not going to be seen by a ton of players. (it has two positive flags and two negative flags meaning all of them need to exist to get the scene) My advice on this specifically is try to have a save with only the revolution unlocked but without any heavy side activities or an evil Olivia (I recommend a good Olivia) (without action with Celeste and/or a few others).

2) Steam

Not pushing hard updates as much because it's kind of a side thing when time permits, but Russian and Portuguese are closer to being done. Chinese is progressing but the person helping me out is not as familiar with the Renpy program so it is a manual process transferring text from one document into Renpy directly. So this is more time consuming, but it is the language that is a "must" for me to have to release.

I will be talking about this a lot more as I am closer, but just kind of mentioning it here.

3) I am kind of thinking now that I might want to get to about 2200 renders or so based on my outline versus 2000 but I am going to still try and shorten it and keep it tight as much as possible.

4) Polls

I will release a new poll next week basically asking all of you if you want a few options for further content:

A) Stick with very strict/tight 30 render dom/sub polls and work.

B) Do what I like but it may end up being more like 50+ renders (I will try really hard to avoid how bad it was this time around)

C) Just focus on the game and ignore polls until the next update is out.

I'm pretty open to anything and I consider this element of my work kind of a Patron driven thing and will adapt accordingly.

To give full context, it's fair to say that each render I work on polls is roughly the same amount I lose in time for the game. So for example -- if I do 100 renders in a week, 50 poll renders would likely mean 50 game renders for that given week. It's a pretty fair approximation.

5) My short trip I talked about is coming very soon -- just a graduation ceremony for my cousin in Nevada! I'm very excited to see her give a great speech and move on to her college studies! Unlike me, she did not grow up with a ton of advantages so I'm really proud of her! It may impact renders a tad bit, but I usually write a lot more when I travel so it should even out!

I hope everyone is having a great week/month/year! I am starting to ramp up some real life stuff a bit more and we've formalized our final wedding/honeymoon stuff all out now! It's a HUGE relief to kind of get that all wrapped up for the most part. Our parents aren't too thrilled it's not the most elaborate thing ever with 500+ guests (neither of us are wired that way and want it smaller and more intimate) but we're both really happy with it and much prefer blowing money to visit our shared dream destination for a honeymoon! (keep in mind I am likely to pause billing for this month) Now if someday Anais ever got married...I would expect a literal circus (love ya girl!)
