when i play the game its in japanese anyway to change it to english?
If you're playing the repack, specifically Better Repack if not all of them at this point, the game should be in English already. It should be translated in the base files for everything except DLC content thanks to the translation by Illusion that was added to at least two known repacks, Better Repack and Flashbangz, and it should still be translating in real time from Google Translate for the rest. The translation is already applied in the repacks, no need to worry about that. The text being translated by Google Translate should appear in Japanese at first, then change after a minute or two at most, check your internet if it doesn't as it may have gone down, I've had that happen right in the middle of a conversation and had to rely on my limited knowledge of spoken Japanese to get by. The content for the base game should be in English from the start and good English at that, not like the machine translation of the rest. Honestly, I'm impressed at the quality Illusion put into it. It's not perfect by any means, but it's one of the best translations of a Japanese game I've ever read that came straight from the developer.

Hi there! I am creating a bunch of cool stuff for Illusion studio games. Most of the content will be for "Koikatu!" (コイカツ!) and "Honey Select" and other projects from time to time. Character cards, cool wallpapers, items etc. Everything is free at the moment and will stay this way forever. If you feel like supporting me by becoming a Patreon I kindly thank you for your help!

I found this link from Youtube.

can someon tell me how i can fix the fps drops on win 10?
it is not your pc. it is the game that limit memory usage which loads characters @ 10 FPS for 15 mins. After that, your FPS will return to normal. If not, your PC is shit which you should THROW the PC into the dumpster. BUILD AMD - FAST, CHEAP, & EFFICIENT ! JOIN THE REAL PC MASTER RACE !

If you follow Illusion's own recommendations the game runs smooth. " Processor recommended is Intel Core i3 4000 or higher not AMD " but this also depends on your budget.

I would also recommend starting with the Intel Processor due to there performance and reliability.

I have an Intel processor on my main PC, i7 6700HQ, and it does still do the lag when a character loads thing. It's definitely the game doing that, which means there's nothing that can be done about it unless someone knows how to decompile the files involved in loading characters and clean up the code in them to make it not do that. I've run it on multiple machines and every single one of them does it.

I also have the i7 8700k & my Koikatu runs very smooth from booting up the game and loading into story mode only takes about 2 mins. " I have the full Japan release version via my Illusion DL membership of Koikatu with KK-HF Patch 2.8 "

If your setup is taking longer than this I would be checking what custom mods you are using plus have a look at your task bar window to see what your processor & memory is doing in performance while the game is running.

Longest loads for me are the first 5 seconds into loading a completely full classroom and also when loading chara creator which takes about 15 seconds, because I have so many mods. Everything is smooth after the initial loading. Running a 7 year old 3770K i7 (slightly overclocked to 4.3 GHZ) CPU, 16 GB DDR3 Corsair Vengeance RAM with Nvidia GTX 970 video card, and a 1 TB Crucial SSD internal hard drive on Windows 10 Home 64 bit.

The only lengthy times I've encountered are going into the editor, character creator on the main menu or edit character on the class roster in your room, going into a time period, going into an interaction, or when a girl enters the area, especially when there are already other girls there. It's just not handling having that many models in one area very well. My task bar reads just fine, no issues except the freeze from the game and only in the situations I listed. On my backup system, which I'm on now, there's a completely different story since that one is weak. Lag everywhere unless I stay in unpopulated areas and forget trying to get anywhere near standard frame rates for today's games. At best I max at 30 on this thing and that's IF there is only one or two girls in the room. Also have to shut off any potential memory hogs like my browser on the backup just to get that much.

Almost the same setup I use only my CPU is different i7 8700k . Plus that my classrooms have 78 students in total & like I have said before my Koikatu runs really smooth once loaded into Free H & Story mode.

The other game I play " Cities: Skylines " can be troublesome when the population reach's over 750,000 and the FPS can drop like a stone at this point.

But I have noticed from the release date Koikatu and to where we are now with each update from Illusion the loading times also reduced.

Its funny how a simple question about FPS brought on that dumb CPU war to the thread.
The game will lag as hell no matter which computer you have if you have installed mods. Hongfire patch and repacks around internet with mods causes the game to lag no matter if you have the Justice Hall or batcave computer.
Just go to the bepinEX folder, disable some mods and youll recover some FPS but youll lose features.

I have an AMD A10 5800K, 8GB of ram and a GTX 750TI, can run the game at 30FPS stable having 25 girls on school which is pretty dumb because if you are playing the game as is intended youll never had the time to interact with all of them in one day.

And Im running the game on Linux using Lutris and DXVK, which take some FPS because DX11 to Vulkan parsing. Pretty much tested on W7. W10 with I7 cpu and the story is the same.

The game is like that, worst with mods, so stop telling people to buy 16GB ram and expensive i7 processors to play this. Illusion is not known for its "awesome performance", their games are bad optimized since Artificial Girl, I dont even want to talk about Sexy Beach Premium.

In reality every game with mods always heavy that normal, well of course when gpu company optimize a no porn game isn't very notice, but when a gpu company don't optimize for that game you notice how bad the game optimize is. BepInEx 4.1.1 and bepis r11.1 fix that lag problem some long time a go... there some mod that help you create a your configuration for reduce the lag.
About RAM, the game use a lot RAM in school, that because the low poly characters run in the school take a lot memory.
the game was designed on up to 36 characters in the school , so more characters you have a more memory you need, so 8gb ram for 20 characters are fine, but if you plan use a mod that allow you add more that 36 characters in that case you need more memory, of course you need a good GPU the most important hardware for gaming.
And the more important part nobody again nobody here ever write "buy a new CPU or RAM".
I have 940mx with a i5-7200u and 16gb ram i get 22 fps at max with 40 characters, if i reduce 20 characters i will get 30 fps at max.

It can hardly be called a war. People are discussing options for improving productivity.
And game performance depends on the computer too.
The more powerful the computer, the greater the performance.
But much and the most basic lies in the game settings. Settings and instructions will help launch the game on any computer that meets the minimum requirements. The user is required to have a computer with the minimum requirements for the game. Accordingly, more powerful computers are only an additional plus, but not a requirement.
This game has a lot of features and is constantly changing. This requires the developer to constantly care about mod compatibility and bug fixes. In this environment, it is difficult to fully optimize the gameplay. This will be possible only after the completion of the development of the game and the release of the final version.
At the moment, the developer as well as the author of the repack are working on optimizing the game as much as possible.
If you take the repack, then it contains the optimal combination of mods for the current version. If you change something, then something will stop working. For example, the author of the repack knows about the problem with the “disappearance” of clothes and knows that you can add a fix that will fix it. But he also knows that this fix will disable some other useful features. Therefore, at the moment, you always have to choose between something. And disabling components is not for everyone will be the solution to the problem.
It is best to follow the instructions of the developer and personal settings through "F1"...
