I think that's fair. Though I'd like to point out that my issue isn't with Sollain per se, but with what it says about the MC: "I don't know if this is a level of pathos he can crawl back from."@Quetzzz, the problem with your focus on Mrs. Sollain is that in no way is she a focus of this game. Her reasons for being there are to get a sex scene at the beginning of the game and so that the MC can lose his virginity before entering college. For those who actually like her, there is an opportunity (entirely optional) to hook up with her later in the game. Taylor (MC) also mentions Mrs. Sollain in a conversation with Nikki (sister) early on. That's it!
He's so needy and sex-starved that he doesn't think twice about jumping her when she offers. But you're right, I should get over myself in this case. (And probably many more cases in the future.)
I'm really not trying to judge the game in its entirety, I should've phrased that better. It was meant as an invitation for fans of the game to tell me how wrong I was, not as a blanket statement. To my mind, that is insufficient evidence to make a judgment of any kind about this game.
Ah, sorry, then I misunderstood. And yes, I will play through it at a later date. The next game on my list is 'A Moment of Bliss', after I'm done with 'Life With Mary'.Well not sure that Nicky had any part there, but she does have a part in his getting more out of his shell and believing in himself. Do not want to spoil too much if do decide to play the game though.
