I fucking love this game.

I kinda wonder, was the people we "thought" we saw the ones who snuck up on us right before Marshland house?
Because looking at the picture, to me it kinda looks like Lori and Ted...

I also love Hana, she was absolutely justified to act the way she did, the fact that she was willing to take the girls immediately put her in my good graces. I don't think the story could possibly of gone better then Carol holding her at gunpoint and starting our hostage crisis unfortunately.

I also love the ending scene with Jack keeping her company because in the end, Hana is a scared girl who doesn't have anyone so having someone who's been friendly throughout, even if the girls haven't been, to quietly sit with her and keep her company during a terrifying storm.... it was super sweet...

No illusions on her acting better next update though, like she said, "this doesn't change anything you know..."
I want to just hug her, but know I gotta give it time.

Aaaand hopefully in time our Red Hot Doc can come mosey on down. (Still love and miss you Syd!)

Respect? Keep her safe? Did you forget that Carol and Naomi both were really ready to kill her even after taking her house? Hell the MC was too after they took her hostage. The only reason she's still alive is the MC feeling bad about doing the entire thing to her(if you choose the soft options. I'm not sure about the hard ones).
Ready? Perhaps. Words aren't deeds. Clearly until Hana caved Carol was not just willing but had decided to kill her. There is little doubt that the last chance was a last chance. The MC's life was on the line and she'd decided that property rights granted by a defunct authority were unimportant compared to his survival. But she didn't shoot. My guess is that she would have, but neither she nor we will ever know if she could/would have pulled the trigger.

Once the situation deescalated, most of their comments struck me as grumbling about her continued, if perfectly justified, complaining. In fact given later comments and reactions, it's pretty clear they weren't prepared to kill her unnecessarily.

Imagine if the roles were reversed almost all of you would have wanted to killed these people just like at the school, myself include, so this "she should atleast be happy we didn't kill her while locking her up in her room and using her house as we please" is nonsensical. Let see if you would be happy if these bandit or whatever other group came in and locked us in a room. We should atleast be happy they didn't potentially kill us yet right? Right?

Like i said more than once already. We did what was necessary and i never disagreed with said action. I would've literally killed her if the option was there. That doesn't change that we're bad for doing what we did and she acted as anyone should from her PoV.
Whatever floats your boat.

Whatever floats your boat.
Always remember, you're the one that replied to my post in the first place trying to side with our group while i was talking Hana's PoV. You're the one that said Hana was a "cunt" for not letting random people in her home during an apocalypse. That she shouldn't have acted the way she did as if she wasn't the justified one here. That she should "atleast be happy" that she's our hostage and that we took her house from her.

Like i said in the very first post that you chose to reply to, we're the bad guys here. So it's really whatever floats your boat not mine but i agree. Move along and have a nice day. :KEK:

Especially since there are so many different options to pick from every time that impact at least dialog if not more.

As usual I'm late to the party and I only just got time to play the latest update. While it was enjoyable and up to the usual high standard, I found latest scenario a little disappointing.

I'll reserve judgment until more of the current scenario plays out, but for me the needs of a good story is starting to clash with the needs of a porn game. It's a tough balancing act.

All my old saves are broken
For those who are more tech savvy than me, is there anything I can do or do I have to start from the beginning again?

I find if you switch between normal and compressed versions of the game it can screw your saves. Try loading an older auto save and play from there. Or copy and paste the saves from your last playthorugh into the new update (if you still have them).

Either a autosave or use a older save to try to fix the situation. Had a similar issue when playing update 0.16 and had to use a save from the middle of 0.15 to fix it.

I agree with you that it feels like a school 2.0.

For me, the Marshland house itself is disappointing and the update shows that the Dev doesn't care about realism if it helps him to create more drama.
I mean a window is already leaking and more importantly the problems with the light, he needed an excuse to get Hana warming up to the MC, because if the house is self-sufficient with solar power then it has a storage system for power to use when there is no sunlight and that means the storm shouldn't have any effect on the lighting of the house, the only exceptions are that the storage is empty or broken.

Hana does mention a "he" who apparently left her a bad taste. Maybe a boyfriend she escaped with, or another survivor. It might even have been her father. Regardless, someone who likely started going cuckoo in the head or let his second head decide with those circumstances next to a young, fertile woman.

Other than that yeah, fear of the dark/storm feels kinda cheap tbh. The leaky window I hope is just flavour (because we really need another reminder that the situation is grim) and the lights... got nothing on that one, it just feels off. The house is generating and storing its own energy. If it lacked enough to power the lights, with the storm happening, the solar panels wouldn't be getting any sunlight so it'd be lights off for a good while, not a flicker now and then (roll credits).

Just because the house is self sufficient doesn't mean it's self-maintaining. If Hana has been alone in the house since close to the start of the pandemic (a big "if" at this time) then it's not at all surprising that a few maintenance items have started to pop up. The window might be as simple as the casing needing to be cleaned out. The lighting issue could be caused by something as simple as needing a breaker replaced, switch wiring tightened, who knows. But Hana doesn't really seem to be all that handy, and wouldn't be expected to if she's the scion of a majorly rich family. OTOH, she did seem pretty comfortable with an assault rifle in her hands so maybe her background is less "Paris Hilton-esque" than my imagination would put it. We should get a lot of those answers in the next chapter.

I do agree that it is too cliche for her to be alone in the house (which I suspect she is.) Especially if there are marauders/bandits roving the area while waiting for an opportunity to sack the town - they would almost certainly have checked out the house, and a weak barricade at the front gate would only have ENCOURAGED them to see who put it there and why...

According to the flashback of Alice much of the machinery that makes the house self suficient is housed in the basement. A house close to the beach in a region where storms are common during the year plus a possible lack of maintenance, if Hana isn't proficient with machinery, and i am betting on the basement being flooded during the storm.

The place is well hidden between some forest and a deserted beach, i wouldn't be surprised if the two bandits who are following the group didn't knew its location. Even the group only discovered the place because Ted was a survivalist nutjob.

is everyone forgetting that we still haven't seen the south half of the Mansion?
The "servant's quarters" are all locked behind a keypad.
I suspect we will find a much grizzlier tail by exploring that area once Hana no longer wants to shoot us.

Plus there is that town and bandit duo who followed Mc's crew... I suspect this area will be ripe with its own drama and story without the need for Sudden Power failures and Machine's dying in our last best hope for survival.

ok, in world full of marauders we live in apartments with light, drinking coffee at morning while looking at city from balcony and cooking food which have to attract a lot of attention in the world with food shortage. sound about right.

I doubt the basement is full-on flooded. If Marshand spent the money to make the house as sustainable as it is said to be, he would have certainly accounted for a drainage system to prevent such issues. I'm inclined to believe the electrical issue is considerably more mundane.

It wouldn't really matter if the bandits KNEW what the story with the property was (though if they were local, and most everyone seems to have stayed relatively close to home when apocalypse struck, it seems unlikely they'd be clueless) - just going on scavenging patrols they'd have undoubtedly come across the barricaded gates and climb-resistant property line walls. As I said, this would have encouraged them to find out what was on the other side, precisely because someone at some point had made an effort to keep people out.
