Been so long since I last played this that Alice's appeal is gone for me. Has she always looked like she does in this recent news update or is she different from before?

Seeing that sentence first just about made my jaw hit me in the dick, until I realized it just meant the patreon post.
She looks different from before.
Before she had the like 2D shading and distinctive like Stencilbits outlining. Now I think hes trying to do 3D renderings on a different engine or something, so the characters look ugly / creepy as hell in different lighting / shading.
And I suspect that is what the real delay is. He's trying to change from whatever his original style was to 3D. So I don't if he is trying to go back and remake the entire game in the new style, or just really bad it and struggling to make Alice route in the new style.
