Oh look, a keyboard warrior receiving likes for his really dumb assumption based comment. So why arent you making HS avn since apparently its very quick and easy and earns a lot of money?
why complain when you could just finish the development of ripples yourself quickly?
i see a lot of talk and very little action, go ahead.
Also, no matter how much you mod HS, there's no way in hell that a HS game would take 2x longer than a quality Daz based game update. You guys are just delusional.Developer Notes:
While working on the last update for BM I got some annoying problems with Daz, they are fixed now, but cost me some headaches and nerves, so I really needed a break from that and after the (kind of) success of Nya, I thought why not make a small game like this again, it doesn't cost as much time and I can use all the weird, naughty, crazy story ideas I get over time, but can't use for BM because they won't fit.
So this is a small side project I plan to expand after every major BM release.
I won't spend as much time on it until BM is finished, but I use code I already have (no need to re-invent the wheel) and using HS makes it possible to create new content faster, so the updates should still be big enough (maybe not as frequent tho).
To give you an example: I started working on this a week ago and there is already more content then in BM release, update 0.1.5 and update 0.1.6 combined.

First off, I never claimed it was easy, the devs themselves did (see below quote for an example, I'm not going to sift through a bunch of threads to find them all... I have a life). 2nd, just because I haven't made a game yet doesn't mean I don't understand what's involved. I have coded other things over the years.

You would be 100% correct if this was Waifu Academy thread, that shiti game shouldn't take a year for a 20 minutes update, but not in this case. You're funny.
Multiple devs have admitted that HS takes very little time and effort to make large updates.
It's sad how blind fanboys can be.

Jestur, Caribdis and Mutt & Jeff take about 6-7 months for 2-3 hours updates with well thought out stories and you can clearly see if you played their games, they don't usually use the default HS animations. Ripples, Eternum and Pale Carnations cuallity is way abobe most other 3d vn on the site.
Definitely recommend this game. I was too hesitant to try it because of the art style, but the story and the worldbuilding... man I don't think any other AVNs can be as sophisticated yet still engaging as this one. A no-brainer must play imo.gonna try the number 8 anyway soon, for the story. Sci-fi/fantasy is my favorite genre, maybe the art style will grow on me too lol.
Heck, don't make a game. Just name these "devs" that said HS is "so easy" and "so fast".oh look a choosing beggar receiving flak for his assumption based comment.
still just talking, the challenge still stands. make a game, be fast about it and rake in the cash. put your money where your mouth is.
A little bit offtopic, but could you explain to me how to get into this view? The current top 15 weighted rating Renpy games on this site says it all

I would assume there's some kind of downloads/thread interaction algorithm that is responsible.A little bit offtopic, but could you explain to me how to get into this view?

A little less opaque, is select latest updates. on the right side of the screen you'll see a box labeled filters. The filter in category is by default set to games. Underneath that is the filter 'sorting'. By default it's set to 'most recently updated' Left click on the box with a star to sort by 'weighted' ranking.I would assume there's some kind of downloads/thread interaction algorithm that is responsible.
A weighted ranking is basically the same thing that I said, an algorithm that takes whatever weights they give to whatever rankings (thread interaction, thumbs up, etc.) and calculates the displayed ranking. I set these up on the LMS I maintain all the time to provide "featured" content.A little less opaque, is select latest updates. on the right side of the screen you'll see a box labeled filters. Just my opinion but the weighted ratings aren't foolproof. For instance 1, 5 and 12 have a lot of 5 star ratings because the reviewers are biased towards more niche kinks. (#1 features cruelty and humiliation towards it's LIs and is generally misogynistic, #5 appeals to furry lovers, # 12 appeals to people who want to play as a futa/trans. They won't have as many low ratings because people who don't like those things will just avoid those games. The production values are generally higher over all though for games featuring those fetishes.) #2 and #3 are some of my favorite games on the site. #9 is arguably the most popular adult game there is. Ripples is criminally underrated. Rating isn't everything I've tried 4-star games I've hated and 2-star games I've enjoyed.
If you're just looking for good games to play you might alternatively sort by thumbs up - 'likes.' Between those 2 sortings you'll find a wide variety of good games.
So you did, I responded to the wrong comment. I meant to respond to whom you responded to. No offense. Exactly what Pax Draconis and tanstaafl added, weighted rating seems more accurate than just simply the full rating of the game because probably takes into account the age of the game the likes and probably other variables. But yeah it is always subjective but gives a general idea of quality and feedback. I can add that I filtered the engine of the game also to only reflect Renpy games as you can see on the bottom right side of the screenshot.A little bit offtopic, but could you explain to me how to get into this view?
