Sorry, I assume you're looking for information on continuation of the game. I've seen no information on that.
The question was if he has been active in Discord. He has been, but just answering some question. So this doesn't really tell us anything, just that Danson didn't completely disappear :(

I was a mod on his Discord *insert hilarious discord moderator meme*
Danson had some IRL problems that he didn't divulge too much about right around the same time Steam rejected this game. He took a step back but after a while, it felt too much like ghosting. He's a nice guy from what I can tell but he kind of put myself and the other mods in an awkward position by just disappearing without anything we could tell people. Judging by all the name colours in the moderator channel, I had guessed the other mods felt the same way and had left before I had. Yeah, I left. He hadn't responded to my DMs and still hasn't.
Like I said, he seems like a nice guy and he did genuinely seem to have some IRL shit to deal with. I wish him luck in the future if he decides to carry this on but he needs to communicate, if something is sensitive he should at least give people he's already trusting as mods or whatever something to use if people start asking questions/shit talking/doom saying/etc.
I feel bad for upping and leaving but I was squashing bots and scammers for free, I don't think it's fair to leave mods to potentially catch bad rep from him ghosting.
If he is indeed back on Discord, I hope he's learned something from the situation. Again, I wish him luck in the future.

That was the question.

Folks were asking about whether this could come back, whether the Dev had been on his discord, and you indicated he had been, but didn't get to the crux of everyone's question.

Another former mod from his server here.
Basically what you said, he had something I'd call a breakdown because of that. Steam was the only way for him to turn this into a full time job, because the revenue he made out of Patreon wasn't near as enough for him to cover his expenses, as let's not forget that making AVNs takes a lot of time which needs to make money, otherwise it won't be possible to continue it. So to compensate for the money deficit he also had to work outsite of the game, which again resulted in less time he was able to spend on the game, which further delayed updates.
Losing that chance with Steam that he also had to work extra on it to fill dozens of pages full of questions about the game, while also creating new mandatory preview renders for it, combined with personal matters just pushed him over the edge.

Sadly I don't know what his future plans are. Last time I spoke to him was shortly after Steam rejected his game and he was tired to say the least. He couldn't give me an answer because he needed to figure out how to proceed because he wasn't in a good position now, I'm assuming he meant in both economic and mental aspects. I shortly left the server afterwards because of my own issues with my personal life but I did encourage him to find a way to continue the game, even if we're talking about half the amount of updates.

I also made sure to let him know that I'd on board whenever he decided to return.

Because steam is filled with a bunch of jackasses who couldn't review a game without bias if they tried. I played this in full up to the last build and there's literally nothing in this that you can't already find in games currently on the steam platform. Unfortunately this isn't the only one lately. Pull up the steam banned games list and take a peek.

It's because it took place in a high-school and thus was somehow against steam rules, as the main environment was a place where lots of underage are (since high school is from 15 to 18 years old) and even though none of them were or would take part in any lewd/sexual activities, they still rejected it for that specific reason and as it seems, you can apply only once per game. Meaning once your game gets rejected it will be banned indefinetily, according to Danson.

Which is kinda weird, I think I remember Inceton Games having the same issue a few years ago with Summer with Mia but they still managed to turn it around.

yea suddenly steam is against avns with schoolgirls getting fucked (at school or just generally).

swm1 doesn't have sexscenes at school so steam was ok with it but swm2 has teachers banging schoolgirl in schooluniform at the school (college) and that's big nono even when those are flashbacks and just few pics. go figure.

STSY still had no sex scenes in school, just the principal masturbating and a panty slip from that one blonde we met at the roof.

I can't tell you what steam thought and I can't tell you what Danson (the developer) is gonnna do. I'm not part of the project anymore (I was only a discord-mod so I don't think this would count as being part of the project, but still) and I'm not in contact with him anymore. So there isn't much I can say any more.

I'm down with helping out at the server if he returns but I don't know if/when that's gonna happen. Spending all your time and energy on a certain goal and failing can crush you, took me months to recover from a burn out I had in late February because of some bullshit that literally jumped into my face. Whatever he does I'll repect respect it, I have nothing against him.

It's a commmon setting for stories. Like 99% of AVNs I play are in some point of school/university. The rest of the 1 % are mostly fantasy and distopian settings.
well tell to steam (valve) that you want more schoolgirlporngames to steam. :p

Couldn't the Dev change that the MC enrolled in a small university instead of a high school wouldn't that solve some of the issues and then the Dev wouldn't need to change the environment.
