No. You are wrong.

Please add the proper context to it because you are just twisting my words at this point.
I Quote " just offer their opinion based on their own perception" that is how opinions work and I am just here to point out how really weird and hostile it is to anyone who doesn't like the product.

You say that like its a difficult thing to notice the big red bell that notifies when people write here.

And I've said it before, but so many of ya'll just say the same things over and over, its quite easy to reply with the same argument :)
Don't play coy, you're making this board really weird and hostile by going after every single critical comment, one of your replies was oh just wait it will get better in update X, or it's not directionless because he made shit in the past (not games).

Nothing to do with the product as is. Yet you and possible alt Lurker are claiming your dropping facts, those aren't facts, those are vague promises at best, shill speak. I find your behavior very suspect as if you're attempting to drive away any negative comments.

Somebody wrote this earlier

My guess? Q2 of 2025 at the latest... or probably stayed in perpetual development hell. Honestly, I have no clue. It has been a good while since I visited this thread and played the game :D

Most projects I've seen often (or at least knew) fell into the slower development progress as time passed. Their update schedule is somewhat similar to Claire's Quest's update window.
Just to add some context and information.
The updates for Subverse were supposed to contain 1-2 Devotion-quests. So the initial outlook was for all devotion-quests to be finished around Fall-season and then finishing the rest to reach 1.0 with launch being very unlikely to hit during 2024.
But we got all Devotion-quests now.
So there's some unexpected breathing room; but that might be used to invest more time into reworking the general system.

I can dislike some(or all) aspects of a game and call it "shit". I may or may not explain why I think the game in question is shit. "stats" and "information" doesn't change the fact that I've found the game shit. "Challenging" how I feel about the game only makes you look like a shill trying to dismiss my experience with the game. If the "challenger" is constantly doing this to others too it is only natural to think that person is indeed a shill, possibly a paid one.

True but trying to totally not dismiss other's feelings also doesn't make the totally not shill's "stats" and "information" true. Especially when you consider the fact that not shill cannot even criticize the game without praising it. The things he says about the game is always like this: "X is bad but *insert justification or praise about why it is that way here*", example:

Not shill is "criticizing" lack of flavor text in a 3d animated porn game. This is not a visual novel.

Not shill is literally praising the game.

Not shill is criticizing gameplay while regularly totally not dismissing other's opinions about porn part of the game. This is supposed to be a porn game. Both opinions are equally valid, trying to dismiss one as invalid only makes you look like a shill more and more.
You have a personal problem.
I don't see how this is relevant to anything I said.

If you want to argue because someone doesn't agree with you, like I said, more power to you.
Throw your subjective opinions around all you want, but don't expect to get anywhere if you do it the way you are doing right now for example, by just dismissing things as "shill" or "paid actors" or whatever floats your boat at any given circumstance.

You do realize that everything you just said could be said about you as well, right?

Yeah but they still have to add a chick and the final chapter of the story I guess, if there's nothing else planned. So that's what? 2 updates at best? Keeping track of the system they have been following and update ever 3 months, that means 6 more months and that's not counting anything else that might be needed or delays. Anyway, this year, next year, we are almost there. But I really wish they would have released the devotion cinematics in full.

Tbh, I feel like Subverse is an okay game. Good enough for being a studio's first foray into game development. It definitely hasn't broken any molds or is ground-breaking by any means. The game should and is criticized because it has it's weak points:

- 20 minute story scenes with no breaks in between (hell for people like me with ADHD).
- Difficult ship shooter segments (there is a market for it but not everyone wants to spend 20-30 minutes clearing something to access the proper smut).
- Pandora being kinda ass with not sense or story integration whatsoever.
- No real progression apart from level-ups and purely statistical upgrades that don't really make you feel like you are progressing.

I could keep going everything has been criticized and said already tbh. But for all it's low points, the devs have not taken in any more money apart from the initial Kickstarter and as much time it has taken, you gotta admit that at least it hasn't been a pure slimy cashgrab like other porn games out there. You could see a hell of a lot of projects like Milfty City, Summertime Saga or SU that have raked up dough for years and years and there is nothing yet (or the dev slapped together a half-assed conclusion and said it's done). To be completely honest, I feel like they should just push through and release 1.0 (whenever it's ready) and then move on to actually fixing or overhauling whatever they want.

But you know, that's my take. Tell me to fuck off or whatever you feel like.

Yeah, It's FOW-chan that is still missing I think. Though I doubt they will give her the full treatment like they did with the other girls. I might be wrong, of course. Overall I won't hold my breath for a 2024 release, nor do I really care as much to be honest. 3-6 more months waiting time doesn't matter much, unless they'd be competing with someone else.

And man, I agree with you fully there. The decision to withhold the Devotion-cinematics so they don't get spoilered absolutely makes zero sense.

Can't quite recall what the game looked like back then. I know grid added directional damage, so where you hit the enemy is a lot more important now. Ship is still more or less the same, but there is a lot more variety in the story-based space missions.
Thanks. That's disappointing but good to know nontheless. I had a feeling they weren't really going to improve the combat much. :/

Oh look there's one of those people that got miffed when the early access changed and never forgave them for it. Nice to see you again.
Oh certainly. When I pledge my money and it says I will receive things A,B and C, and the result is they wanted to cancel A because fuck you, B is yet to be seen and C was delayed invalidating its purpose... I'm out, simple as that.

What spoilers? We have the whole dialogue for them. Start and end. We know how they begin, we know what happens, we do the fights and we know how they end. Hell the elf chick gangbang can even be seen in that picture during the hotel sequence, or the sketches for the scene at least. So what spoilers? They are just not adding the good stuff. The fucking, you know, the reason why most people play this game. So yeah, not adding that, dick move.

Supposedly, it was to avoid them being leaked in PH or whatever other site before game release, but man is that dumb. Like they are gonna get leaked out either way. I haven't touched the game in a good year or so cause I am not gonna play if that shit is incomplete. It's like making something but not allowing anyone to see it cause you feel like it would invalidate your work, get real.

No I wouldn't. Because that's just silly.

They were held because they didn't want the first viewings of them to just be a weak rule34 video reupload. I don't think that's any different from say, a filmmaker not wanting their films to be seen from a cam pirate than by the people that pay to go see it. Understandable at the very least.

No you see, you did it fine. You expressed your critiques without resorting to extreme statements or insulting the developers.

I definitely get on ya on the ship sections, that's been talked about enough in official feedback. That's why they inserted that skip after 3 attempts system for now. But there has mention of making things easier for folks that have too much problems (one notable feedback was from a disabled gamer, so its been seen)

I've already said it today, but Pandora stuff being integrated could be happening in the overhauls.

Mantics were meant to have an evolutionary element to them (tis what all that amount of BIO we've picked up throughout the game is meant to be for). Waifus were also intended to have gear upgrades (presumably what the clickable object in Engineering will be used for with TEK). Whether we see these or not remains to be seen.

Actually respectable.
But it stops being respectable when you shun other people for thinking otherwise. Just saying.

Indeed.
They said they don't want the smut-scenes to be floating out there on the internet, because those scenes are supposedly of the same quality as their movies they did previously. Basically give people some "incentive" to buy the game when it launches, which definitely makes no sense.
The scenes will be leaked on Day1 of launch anyways and the people that didn't intend to buy the game sure as hell won't consider otherwise. I'd argue they have even less reason to buy into EA now that they know that everyone's just getting blue-balled until launch.
Definitely the most aggravating choice they made as far as I'm concerned.

Then why bother to have an early access then? If they want to keep it under wraps. So no, not understandable.

Anyway, I'm not ok with the logic behind it. And if I hadn't already bought the game a long time ago, I would not buy it now because of this cheap move and would much rather wait for the porn site uploads.

As far as I can tell the most entertaining part of this are the various 5-star and 1-star ratings that rarely match the text in the respective reviews.

I might give it a try if it wasn't such a chunky download but it's not really scratching enough of my itches to bother.

To garner feedback on the missions and such. Some missions prove too difficult and it helps to find out about it now to fine tune it for later.

This was also a strategy change, as initially they announced they'd add the devotion missions after the game had been completed. So ya'll could have easily been waiting even longer for the best part.

Yeah it is a big download if you don't own the game. Cuz you're essentially redownloading the 1080p and 4k cutscenes again and again. But that's the life of a pirate :p

You have a personal problem.
Just because I've "challenged" your opinion doesn't mean I have a "personal problem".

I don't see how this is relevant to anything I said.
You were trying to justify actions of some person, were you not? If not, what was the point of that post? If you wanted to share your opinion about the game I am not seeing it in that post. That post was not about the game at all. You tried to justify actions of someone who is according to you "not a shill".

Throw your subjective opinions around all you want, but don't expect to get anywhere if you do it the way you are doing right now for example, by just dismissing things as "shill" or "paid actors" or whatever floats your boat at any given circumstance.
Do you realize how ironic this is? I've already explained why one might seem like a "shill". I've already gave you examples for that "shill" behavior. Meanwhile all you do is complaining about my "subjective opinions" and telling me I am "dismissing" opinions while you do the exact same thing to me any others who think like me.

You do realize that everything you just said could be said about you as well, right?
I am not the one who's constantly acting like I am in a paid marketing team for a porn game. I am not the one defending the person who's constantly acting like he is being paid for promoting the game. But if you can backup those claims by all means feel free to post your own "subjective opinions" about me.

Hah, my friend, I am returning here like once every year because I am so impressed. They broke backer promises, they are STILL making a game after all this time and it keeps 40-50 % on both here and Steam, they stopped updating KS because they can't control people there so they moved to Steam discussions/discord where they banned everyone who disagreed with them, the development is so controversial this thread is basically a colosseum. Result? There are people who STILL defend FOW and shill for this game. I come back here because I am genuinely impressed, other devs should learn from them, ICSTOR has nothing on these guys. If they advertised not the game but how they will fuck the community and they will ask for more I would consider it money well spend. Ofc I will be coming back here because it's funny at this point.

No, had nothing to do with the fact that you have to buy the game? Just for mssion feedback. Funny how people have been asking them to remove the dumb 3-mission fail requirement and just reduce it to 1. Shows about how much they care about feedback.

And we are waiting longer. Cause without the devotion missions the game would release sooner.
